360 sold 114,000 units?!?

...

...ok, if there are other datas confirming these jumps, then we can say that that the weather conditions were the main factor last month.

When was the 360 version of Titanfall announced to be delayed? Maybe people actually are buying 360s for Titanfall?

Oh my god Bravely Default I'm so happy

See when you actually release and market these games they sell! DQ9 and FE:A proved that though they had preexisting fan bases, you can't spin BD. It had nothing going for it other than good marketing and publicity.

This could apply for Wii U as well for that matter

It did in Japan and I believe it will in the west. It's been charting high on Amazon for quite some time now where as LR was only up there for a short amount of time and then dropped off quickly.

Well, there are two factors here.

1. In japan, LR outsold FFX HD on PS3 but FFXHD ended up selling more because Vita sold 120k+ (from media charts). The difference between the two was only around 100k overall.

2. LR received a nice boost here thanks to the 360 version. Can the Vita version in the US market make up for that? I have doubts unfortunately :(

It's gonna be a long generation for PS4 fans, Xbox One just has no quit and will probably still be finding it affordable to buy more exclusives.

If that headline software list is multi format, why does it show minecraft as 360 only, when it's on PS3 as well? Is minecraft not available as a download card in retail stores in the US yet?

Doesn't Minecraft on 360 come on a disk, whilst a download card would be under game accessories I believe?

Said it once and I'll say it again. Xbone will win March.

Say what you will about TF, the marketing on that game alone has been through the fucking roof.

I honestly don't think anyone can say that with confidence. Xbone gets TF, but PS4 gets Infamous and MGS (which is still really associated with PS). Next NPD is going to be insane that's for sure.

These numbers bode extremely well for the bone this month.

February sales should have been in the gutter like January's were with people waiting for Titanfall. This big a boost the month before could mean a huge March if MS got enough Titanfall bundles out there.

Lightning sold better than I expected. I haven't played the game so I won't judge but I was sort of hoping for BD to outsell it for hilarity.

Also, I pointed this out in the other thread: LEGO the Movie the game sold better on Wii U than PS4 or Xbox One.

Shitty sign to be honest. Basically means Wii U will be either the uber casual/family/child + first party machine. Sort of like the Wii only scaled back about 90%.

Wow, nice numbers for Tropical Freeze!!

Bravely Default doing well, too!! ^_^

Not all too bad for Wii U as well, considering it this are February numbers.

Xbox one is only around 10K less than Wii U now.

TTM for MS and Sony systems has climbed 100K this month, without even including the PS3, to almost 9.2M; should be over 9.2M with PS3.

With the extra XBO supplies on the shelf and Sony seemingly supplying about 300k units to NA per month... XBO has a solid chance of having a better March than PS4.

Basically everything jumped up, except the PS4 (which was heavely supply constrained).

March is gonna be epic. XBO is going to do good, but the PS4 is in total beast mode. Imo it's all in Sony hands, if they are able to ship enough units they will win.

Most people will buy FFX on PS3 and LR probably just skirted by 200K which is no where near made up by a 360 version 'boost'.

Great jump for the Xbox One! Glad that both of my two next gen consoles can't be pronounced dead yet, unlike a certain next gen console.

Also surprised by how well LR sold.

Looking at last year's software sales, things had to do at least okay software wise to only be down 9% year over year.

Huh, I'm surprised by Bravely Default's numbers. This is great!

Hope Square will actually start localizing some more 3DS titles now, instead of Nintendo having to step in.

Wonder how some analysts will spin this to the usual ''consoles are doomed'' direction. That january ''doomed'' thread was great retrospectely. Just shows how you can't analyse anything with one month data.

we need our meteorologist, Joe to confirm this

:p

It is logical that the massive snow front in January would have impacted sales somewhat. Not drastically, but how many people would go out in a massive blizzard with 2 foot of snow to pick up a console?

I forgot about it and thought that last month be the new baseline, but it appears I was mistaken due to this.
