Playing Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, well it's a very simple and barebones game so far. I didn't expect something so shallow. The art style is nice though, reminds me of Limbo, however iirc ITSP came out first.

The exploration and environments become more involved and puzzle-ish as you get further in.

How is it compared to Arkham City? I preferred that to Asylum.

Are the investigations that involving or is it just a gimmick with little impact on gameplay?

The investigations have zero actual gameplay involved in them. You watch a real time cinema, walk to the highlighted object, watch a slightly modified real time cinema, walk to the highlighted object, repeat until "solved".

As for everything else, compared to Arkham City, the combat is a slight bit better/different, the external world traversal is worse, the internal/dungeon level design is about on par, the predator sections are better/more challenging, the bosses are a different style but about on par.

The environmental art, especially outside, is much, much worse than AC. Inside buildings, the art is better than outside, but not anywhere near as detailed as AC. The character designs are much more grounded in proportions (which most people seem to prefer) but I found them less interesting/bombastic than Rocksteady's designs.

The story is more coherent than AC, but it's not exactly super memorable.

I barely do any of the Riddler stuff in these games, so I couldn't tell you how that compares.

I never experienced any bad bugs in my playthrough, though that doesn't mean they aren't there.

Overall, if you enjoyed AC, you will probably find AO to be a decent side-story game. If you're one of those people that puts a premium on their game playing time, I would skip it.

Nuuvem and Paradox plaza are having Paradox sales between 66% and 85% off (check Steam-ness)

Bundlestars is having a kalypso sale.
IncestDemonicon is 85% off
Quite a few others are between 35% and 90% off too

nonsense...they pushed a patch

...to add confirm instead of immediate exit upon pressing ESC. So yeah, not looking great.

Yeah the patch that made a great feature, worse. Now when someone walks in and I'm playing FFXIII I've to confirm to quit instead of auto closing and sparing my shame.

Did they actually push that patch or did they just announce it? I don't remember the game updating.

No, they did not.
They announced they will push the patch. A week ago. No patch since.

Haven't they? *fires up game and hits Escape, game shuts down*

Oh thank christ for that. Let's be honest there's a few more pressing matters than someone accidentally quitting they game. Even at my pedestrian pace I reckon I'll finish it before any patch gets released if at all.

I think the ESC thing was intentional, merciful by design. 5+ hour corridor tutorial? Well, you have a quick and easy way to bail.

...really? wow that's bad. Been away from my computer for a week, assumed it actually pushed. Damn guys.

No fucks given.

Squeenix hasn't even been working on a patch since the game launched. The public build is newer than the dev build.

DARK is 90% off at Bundlestars btw.

They should give you 90<your currency here> to play it, and even then, it wouldn't really be worth it.

Holy shit Sanitarium is now on Steam, 40% off, and they added Steam achievements
Bravo. That's how you re-release an old game.

The ESC issue in FFXIII is a standard across a majority of Japanese PC games. I'm not surprised that it made it into here. Port Programmer in Squeenix must have done a lot of VN's before joining.

Really? What the hell? I need stop working. I mean, when I home NOTHING for weeks, when I'm not two price glitches in two different days.

I don't think many people if any have actually received their copy yet, though.

Just doing the waiting game. They might not send the keys in the end.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Oh man, I used to play the hell out of this game back in the day. I think it was on like 3 CDs...

Skyrim was available for free. It was less a price glitch and more a coupon code glitch.

Well it was $8 code, so you could've ordered two copies for free or 3 for $1.

I wonder if they end up canceling orders, considering they haven't given keys.

I like esc->quit, and people that don't like it are wrong, not budging on this one.

One of the best adventures ever imo. I love this game. Puzzles are good but not too difficult. The only major flaw is the voice acting, but the gameplay and story are rock solid.

the site was OK then, it's not loading now! so it must be the bomb in that other bundle, or doujin one is on already!

Loads fine here.
They fucked with their site again, added the chat and activity bullshit to the front page... and the per bundle chats are now all tabs for whatever bundle you check.
