Spoilers. In the age of digital comics, they are increasingly becoming an issue in these threads, as the drive to be first to discuss the week's releases overrides common sense and good posting etiquette. So over the coming weeks and months, the members of Comic GAF will be collaborating on and will eventually be implementing a system of general rules for avoiding spoilers on new comics in the Comics OT thread. But for now, please abide by the temporary guidelines outlined below. And remember, you are being watched and judged by your peers.

1. Discussion of newly released comics that involves specific plot details shall be accompanied at all times by the appropriate use of the
tag function.
2. Direct posting of full-page images from newly released comics using the tags is strictly prohibited, and outgoing links to such should be accompanied by the appropriate spoiler warnings.
3. Direct posting of images or spoilers from comics that have yet to be released is strictly prohibited, and outgoing links to such should be accompanied by the appropriate spoiler warnings.
4. Covers, solicitation copy, and/or promotional materials shall not be considered spoilers and are allowed, unless their content involves specific plot details; in those cases, outgoing links with spoiler warnings should be used.
5. The unmarked posting of spoilers related to comics will be allowed after a period of one week (Wednesday to Wednesday) from that comic's release. (NOTE: Longer? -Spike)
6. Members of Comic GAF are expected at all times to exercise common sense and polite discretion as a matter of courtesy to fellow posters. I know, tough one.
7. If you are unsure of whether or not posting something would constitute a spoiler, err on the side of caution and use the
tags.

In short, don't be Stephanie Brown. Don't be... The Spoiler. You can't pull off purple.

Happy reading!
Seriously, guys. Talk about COMICS here.
Still don't like Marvel shoving the Inhumans down our throats. I can't imagine anyone wanted Karnak to get his own series. We will see I guess. Maybe it will be good.

who cares about games fallout 4 ain't gonna be out in october

might as well talk about the books

Yeah, but Transformers Devastation is in October. We good.

Why does Dr Strange have a battle axe? He can do actual magic. What is he going to do with that thing that he can't do with his powers?
ok, I'm intrigued

Oh man, I remember those! Those are going to be terrible to read again as adults! Those probably hold up worse than the cartoon does!

They really gonna launch all the ANAD stuff with all the Secret Wars delays? Oy Vey

wake me up when we get fallout: new atlantic city or something.

is zero good? should I read it? looking at the reviews it sounds pretty interesting.

First trade was great, I say yes.

i think i'll cop that tomorrow then. image is awesome with their first trade prices.

i've been hearing really good things about ales kot and I read an interview of his and he seems pretty political and controversial so I'm hoping that translates in his work a bit too.

Will next month's thread be about figurines or cereal though? That's what I really want to know.

Anyways, can't wait for some of the books in All New All Different Marvel. But man, if I have to wait another year for Steve not to be an old man any more I'm going to be mad. Doctor Strange #1 looks like it'll be lots of fun, I just hope Aaron doesn't go all environmental again.

It is, but the last 4 issues get really weird and throw the story for the loop. It kind of messed with Edward Zero's story for me.

From what I've seen people seem to think the Karnak book will be good and if the sales aren't there it will just be canceled.

As for the Strange thing IIRC
Aaron is going to play up the using magic has a cost thing hence the weapons to defend himself.

All-New All-Different is the most excited I've been for comics in a long time. Ewing and Duggan on everything? Abnett still writing Guardians? Aaron on Strange? Inject that shit right into my veins.

Only thing I've read the past couple weeks is binging my way through the IDW Transformers stuff again, since I fell off in chunks before Dark Cybertron and in the space between it and Combiner Wars, and I wanted to reacquaint myself. God damn, these books are so good.

Is there a reason uncanny xforce omnibus is so damn expensive? I know it's our of print but $300? I just can't understand it.

I imagine it's just a mix between well liked run and it being oop. Prices like that on the after market are pretty common for omnibus that aren't easily available.

I understand Destiny and Splatoon being in that intro post, but why is Halo there? That doesn't look like a game comic gaf approves. BTW What shader is that hunter wearing?

Worth every penny. Or you could get the two complete collection trades for like $30 each.

Ah, thought it was more than 35 issues. I'll just get those instead then. I'm just shocked to see a recent run so much. I see $100-$200 usually but not $300 like that.

Justice League #44 was a fun read. Not sure what the hell is going on with those two "heralds" but I'm thinking of adding Justice League to my pull list. Been grabbing it off the shelves because my LCS always stocks so much DC books.

Its been pretty good,, I was really happy when Jason Fabok come over on art.

When is Halo out? I have the early access version on preorder and I don't want to be surprised when $250 comes out of my bank account.

And I guess the 20th for that. I'm toying with the idea of going down to the $100 version. I hate the quality of game statues and they always end up in my closet. I will only keep the Juggernog version of Blops 3 and the special edition of Fallout 4.

Comics were a mistake.

Actually, Shattered Empire's out again next week so they're all good.

Oh shit, new Archie as well.

Can't wait for #2 hopefully no more delays for the rest.

My PSN is Sylar996 I'll be getting Battlefront for the PS4 if any of you will be on that

I thought about getting the Pip boy addition but I get instant buyers remorse when I buy collectors editions for games

Only reason I'm considering it is 'cause I want the Special Edition goodies, but I also want a digital copy... might just go for the bog-standard digital preorder and get the rest of the stuff piecemeal.

Eh, I don't wanna talk about games, let's go off-topic and talk about comics instead.

How about that Marvel, eh? Can they comic or what?

No seriously, I don't know, I don't really read any Marvel.

I probably should, since I'm still paying for that MU sub...

I feel insulted. For one, there is no "outside this thread" for comics-gaf! Right? Do you guys all meet up for tea and talk about comics and myself? For two, this is OT threads all over again.

Caught up on Robin: Son of Batman (#2-4). Oh my God it's so much fun. Damian continues to be the best. Maya/Nobody is a fun partner. Damian vs. Deathstroke was great.

Batgirl #45: Well that romance came out of literally nowhere.
