Just upgraded to the Saikyo Package. I was on the fence, but I'm guessing at the very least the Marie/Honoka outfits are going to be locked to first-purchasers. Good lord it's like a $200 difference between Fortune CE and Saikyo.

Those Marie and Honoka outfits aren't exclusive to the Saikyou package if that's why you switched >.>

That is true. I wish we knew for sure if F and V sets can be purchased later.

edit: after some searching, yeah: 各エクストリームセクシーコスチュームは後日有料販売を予定しております。

I'm highly reconsidering just ordering the normal versions of both games. Thanks for the cold water in the face!

double edit: Yeaah, saving that money for DLC swimsuits that are obviously gonna come is probably a better idea than the physical goods I don't really care about now that I think about it.

Yea if you don't care about the physical goods please do not buy the Saikyou set lol.

Yes.
Don't they look like swimsuits?
Marie's could maybe pass as a swimsuit but definitely not Honoka. The moment water hits that, especially the upper portion, it immediately becomes see-through. That material just doesn't look water-repelling.

Still don't know if I should buy the Asian version, or hold out for a Western release. I really hope it comes overseas.

I haven't imported since my orange modded Gamecube and Japanese Gamecube PSO. Best would be Play Asia or NCSX in the USA?

Play-Asia will charge you $90 for shipping.

NCSX charged me like $18.

Mind you, NCSX only has the Saikyou version for preorder.

People are suggesting it would be difficult to get future DLC with the asian version, but is that actually true? Wouldn't it be just as difficult as having a Japanese account to download DLC for the Japanese version?

It's the same for both, you'll only have difficulty if you get the game for the Vita.

Why difficult? You can get HNK$ PSN cards easily

Creation of an account shouldn't be, but obtaining funds for use in the store could be more difficult. I assume though there are places to get codes from just like for JP PSN. Might be more expensive.

I could understand the desire to limit the number of accounts you have to manage though.

Is switching between accounts on Vita more of a headache for Asia region than JP?

Thanks for the input. Yeah, I have no idea why it'd be more difficult to get Asian PSN credit. If so, I'm guessing Hong Kong would be the way to go?

For the wings haters, crossposting this :p
As Shin said, most of the times they remove the wings in concept art because it's way easier when you're designing a costume. You only put them back afterwards to see if it makes sense/ still looks good.
#dontclipwings #LeaveNyoAlone ;)

Also, yeah, if you're already used to a JP/Asian PSN account, it's not hard at all to get DLC. Harder on Vita due to this shitty card/account system, and a bit more annoying if you're getting an HK account since there's not as many retailers options for PSN cards, but still good.

This coming to EU?

Not yet, no. But the fact that asian versions will get english menus and subtitles is telling enough. Might be digital only and with monetization differences though.

I guess amiami has a retailer exclusive bonus now, just got an email about upgrading my order to the retailer exclusive bonus edition.

it's an A5 sized acrylic plate featuring Marie Rose. I don't think I'll be upgrading to that because it's like 2000JPY more expensive.

Chin from Koei Tecmo Europe was on a manga convention is Spain this past weekend and he said there is no plans to release the game on US/EU and if you want it, you should import the Asian version with English subs. This could change but a PR guy saying you should import it, don't give much hope in my opinion.

Hmm, I wish they have pic of the plate.

Japan version won't have English subs then huh, just like 90% of the other Japan version games.

Eh I don't know. I doubt he is privy to all of KTs plans and you can't always trust PR people (Persona 5 2015)

I'll import it anyway, but it would make no sense to not release it in the west

I don't think this implies it, just that it's useless waiting for a western version.
I'm still in the opinion that the japanese version will have english subtitles as well (costs nothing in terms of publishing) but I hope another KT PR guy can give an answer to this.

So if I were to get the Asian version how will the DLC work if I live in Europe?

On the PS4 you can simply make an Asian secondary account (very easy), buy the DLC with prepaid cards from Play-Asia, switch back to your main account and use it like normal.

On the Vita it's more annoying since you'd have to tie your system to an Asian account.
