I'm definitely enjoying Warhammer: The End Times: Vermintide: Subtitle: Subtitle 2 more than I did in the beta, the performance is definitely better, while not entirely were it should be I can totally play it with mostly 60fps at medium/high settings and it still looks really nice too.

republic commando is like 3 bucks and the graphics fix mod that allows up to 4k, adds a fov slider, fixes the widescreen hud, increases bumpmapping and adds first person legs is out

literally no fucking excuse

AssUnity's hair really kills my frames sometimes, I can't get consistent 60fps even if I turned the settings down to very high with my 980ti. How well does Syndicate run?

Oh I never seen anything by them. I don't use the curators to be honest. What is it just anime memes?
This is what he said about steam GAF favourite huniepop : "A real gem. Bonus points for realism, as you will most likely fuck up a lot, and the women will laugh at you, a lot. Just like in real life. Good tho."

Lol

The fact that isometric spiders still bug you must make it a hell of a phobia. Not downplaying it, just sucks.
tbh i find isometric worse than first person in most cases

but yea never been easy

it's all in the animation and context, action games are much easier than horror/rpgs

Well, Fallout 4 got a no cockroach (replacer) mod at day 1.
dang first time i hear about this

tbh roaches aren't so bad in fo4 for me, i don't like the mosquitos tho, those things are pretty awful

It means that PoE is not a very moddable game. Most mods over there are just portraits and sweetfx presets.
yeah, unity's not super kind to modding afaik and obs hasn't been trying to open the thing up for it either

i should probably give the game a shot and test myself, but i really don't like how they looked in the trailers

wow the hint system in talos principle is the worst

i figured i'd see how it works since i only have a few puzzles left and the answers are like "put the block in the button to open the gate" and it's like, the whole puzzle is finding how to get to that block, you might as well tell me "solve the puzzle to solve the puzzle"

like seriously lol i tried it on two different puzzles and it's the same shit both times. it's hilarious that they felt these hints were so good that they had to be limited

like, at one point i thought the text about how u don't have any hints available was an actual hint and used that to springboard an actual idea better than these things lol

RAM Disk. But I'm not using the RAM to play games off of it.

Seriously. I should have never posted that. I just thought that mark up was ludicrous. Now people think I'm ludicrous for wanting a bad ass full closed loop, VR, rendering beast.

Well, to be honest, if I was in a position to spend that kind of money on a computer, I'd probably spend the $8k. That way you have complete support, presumably an impeccable warranty, and someone else to do all the assembly and tweaking for you. Yeah, the markup is a bit much, but you could probably haggle a bit with them if you really tried.

Unless of course you want to assemble it yourself, in which case I'd spend the extra $3k doing something really cool and unique with the case.

Been putting a few hours into Black Flag, my current playthrough when on islands will be
Get Synchs done first
Get all treasure chests
Get all Fragments
Finish Assassination missions
Finish main missions

Game runs at max 30 FPS for me but when there's foilage it dips to 20+ FPS :/

Controls are annoying though, why does it take Edward 1 friggin' second to decide to climb a ledge? Batman AK and Moredoors were way more fluid in this regard.

Yeah. My wife said the same about just having someone build it and have a good warranty. Espcecially with something like this. Plus that Aventum III case is amazing from what I've seen.

Well, too late to cancel my xbox one copy of JC3. Was planning a quick playthrough and a GCU trade in so hopefully it won't be too terrible and I'll get some fun out of it.

I'm fully absorbed in Darksiders 2 again, hopefully I won't get stuck on the same boss as last time. Seems to be going pretty well. There's something I just really like about the traversal in that game - it's really smooth and has some nice animations. The puzzles are pretty good too.

I visited the Dreamhack event last weekend. It seems that PC gaming surely isn't dead.

G2A seems to be one of the sponsors of this event. That's really strange. I wonder if I should start trusting them :p

The best curator. Not even zkylon can compare.
How are people enjoying the games they bought as we come to the end of the sale? Really enjoying Lisa and some of the weird story situations it throws you into that go outside the general rpg norms. Ie, being forced to play Russian Roulette with your companions amongst other things. Axiom Verge is pretty fun and it supports high framerates which is great, beautiful spritework for a one person job although some of the bosses seem a bit flash esqe in comparison to the rest of the game. Haven't spent much time with Trails SC but I just wanted to grab it to support xseed.

Totally unrelated but has anyone used Roommates.com before to find a place to live? Moving to austin next month and I'm trying to find the best deals possible on a place so I want to consider the possibility but the site seems sketch as fuck despite being recommended.
An excuse to talk about Life is Strange. Wonderful!

So, I bought Life is Strange, Borderlands 2, and a few other things, with the first two the only ones I'm actively playing right now. Life is Strange has legit blown me away in all respects--it's an enduring classic in my mind, with the most powerful story of the year. Borderlands 2 is a... podcast game; it starts very bad and gets progressively more OK with every cool item you find--and you find a lot of them--at which point the gameplay loop really sinks its claws into me. Very pleased with my purchases so far.

This has been such a great year for new games.
Pillars of Eternity is really good you guys
Every fantasy RPG should strive to meet PoE's array of classes, races and lore. It's an amazing first attempt at a new franchise. (Though who'd expect less from Obsidian at this point?)

Divinity: Original Sin 2 can't come soon enough. Gonna be great!

so, finished talos principle, at least the very basic ending without the stars or the tower

i got a few hints out of videos for some of the sneakier final puzzles, but for the most part i feel like i've got my brain's worth out of this game.

i'll throw in a bit more detail after i do the tower ending and i'll probably just youtube whatever happens with the stars. i like the game, but i wanna move to something else

well all have those we look up to!

I've been wondering, is there anyway to buy a digital version of Need for Speed Most Wanted 2005?

I've been wanting to get it again for my collection.

Don't go for the stars ending, tower was enough for me.
Stars 'puzzles' can be so terrible in this game... And the fact that you have to have all of them to get the third ending is teribbler.

Syndicate's max setttings are more demanding than Unity's but it scales better.

Fallout 3 Complete for $4 over at de.gamesplanet.com
Should I go for it GAF?

Can't you just use Rivatuner or MSI Afterburner to lock you game at 30fps?

I have an NVidia card, but don't know how to force 30 FPS through NVidia Control panel :/.

with fallout new vegas being the smart first person fallout and fallout 4 being the ultra dumb first person fallout, i don't see why anyone should play fallout 3 right now

Hmm so FO4 outdoes FO3? In that case I'll wait for FO4 to go for dirt cheap.

I would be careful buying F3 on a deutsche Internetseite. It's usually a low violence version.

Well, it outdoes FO3 in streamlining, UnRPGing and shooty shooty bang bang, if that's what you want, but if it's an RPG you want, you'd be better of playing any of the other Fallout Games or Wasteland 2.

I'll never understand rich people.

Preach.
