Started playing AC Syndicate and I'm really liking it! Feels very different from earlier ACs and kind of suprised me. Also much more "cartoony" in a sense, not at all in a bad way. But still not a fan of "optional objectives" specially when it's tied to extra exp and money. Overall very good first impression.

Valve has given up on everything. They aren't making games anymore. They don't care about their own sales. They don't care about customer service. They finished up (gave up on) all the living room stuff like Steam machines, SteamOS etc. I wouldn't be surprised if at this point their entire office building is just empty with no employees and all that's left is rows of servers in the basement run by GLaDOS. There is nothing left but automation.

RIP Dailies and Flash deals. RIP Steam seals. Goodnight, sweet prince.

For a brand new release, if you can't get approval for your best discount for the full length of the sale, that's OK and we can work on a plan for that game. But the vast majority of your catalog should be running its best discount for the duration of the sale.

I think it's just more of a case of that the original art work for Transistor is "dark" so it being this bright seems a bit off to most.

Judging by other reports on performance, it's definitely improved but still not smooth. My experience (on a Q8200 with a Radeon 270, high settings) showed a large bump in performance from the few minutes I spent walking around in Propast. Previously, it would consistently drop down and stay at around 13-18fps from 20-30fps while now it's 30+ the majority of the time. Not ideal but faaaaar better than before.

Well I'm quite sure that's Ubi being Ubi. IIRC some Ubi games weren't discounted on the first day of sale even after all the store had been updated. And then the discounts appeared the day after.
Wouldn't surprise me to see them withdraw the discount early.

So because it's 'Siege Day' Ubi has some rather awful e-sports style launch countdown stream on the go. This is sponsored in the main by Nvidia, with various PC component partners also having ads popping up across a lower third from time to time. So this leads me to believe that the teams are playing on PCs but when it cuts away to a bunch of fist bumping and whopping and hollering they're all using controllers. What? A FPS on PC being played competitively on controllers? Whilst they're all behind desks? I just.. I can't.
