So reading those XCOM2 reviews, one could still miss an attack even with 99% prob. chance of a successful shot?
Why even bother giving me percentages, just go random #/Odd # chances display and at least I would rage differently.

What the hell are you talking about?

Danganronpa to be $30 but with 20% launch discount, also it has trading cards

Nice! Still higher than i expected.

Pretty sure reading "Dankmemeronpa" on their official twitter account is the pinnacle of despair the series has brought me.

Sweet, a Monokuma emote! Price is okay enough for me to double dip. Hope they had the original images in 1080p and it is not stretched from Vita resolution though.
Why did thry hsve to say that. It makes me cringe

Nice scores.

So who's looking forward to Dankmemeronpa

maybe they changed the localization to make it cool with the kidz xD

So we might actually get Final Fantasy IX by tomorrow? I'm double-dipping on Steam and iOS version as usual. But I need those curtains first!

I mean that obviously you can miss with 99% chance too but I agree with you: XCOM percentages were out of whack.

"Monokuma Reacts to executions"

I wonder if a weeaboo translation would work.

"Oh Em Geh! He is so kawaii, dayo ne?"
"Japan is the best country so of course Monokuma-san lives there"

I realize my memories from anime-conventions come back to me and haunt me at night!

I don't know much about XCom but I hear it's great. I'm looking to check it out before deciding whether to pick up XCom 2.

XCom: Enemy Unknown for £0.70 off humble bundle, or XCom: Enemy Within for £4.99 (Steam Bundle)?

Is it worth paying that much extra for EW?

Edit: Cheers Hektor, sold.

Yes.

The addon comes with a lot more character customization like mecha suits and bio upgrades, contains an entire minicampaign integrated into the maincampaign and fixes the maingames biggest issue i.e. the map variety. The original release only had a handful of maps causing lots of repeats, the addon ups the mapcount by a tenfold at least i'd say.

It made a good game great.

What the hell are you talking about?

Instead of showing my chance of hitting a target as a percentage, show it me like 31/37 chance of success.
At least I wouldn't rage too much because that'd be a percentage I'm too lazy to think up in my head :V

From what I recall the XCOM RNG has been subject to a number fo analyses (e.g. here), and it seemed to be robust enough. The problem is more likely to be the fact that most people have a poor understanding of statistics.

I can get a weird kick out of crazy against the odds victories. Like in Civ those rare occasions when say a spearman manages to take out a tank amuse me no end. I like to imagine how the battle could have played out for that to have happened.

There's no chance of Trails of Cold Steel to come to Steam? Now that Trails in the Sky came to the platform.

As shortsFortallPeople said, no PC port for them work with.

Part of the reason why the Crossbell games are an issue to port too iirc

They have a PC port, but I think they can't use the Chinese version of Ao or it was something like that

there hasn't been a PC port for Xseed to bring over. Until then, nope. They need a PC port to work with for them to bring over

no they don't, Xseed are porting Little King's Story and Senran Kagura just fine.
What they needed were good Trails sales as that would have convinced Falcom, now we can kiss those games good bye.
Or... maybe we will get them in 10 years or so.

There wasn't a PC port of Danganronpa, and yet we are getting the game soon.
Same with FF9.
This is just XSEED being Sony ponies. It bit their arses earlier, and will bit their arses again sooner or later.

oh c'mon now
let's blame Xseed for releasing a game that we wanted on PC like we wanted and not going to port other games, because those released before sold nothing.
They are porting other games to PC, they won't bother with Trails and you know why.

this is falling apart fast ;_;

also, this is a Overgrown Spitter. Of course thats what killed Zkylon
lol

Oh the irony. How far are you in? I only managed to finished the first zone and by then I had two teams off dungeoning at a time to try and keep the stress levels down. Eventually Team A merged with Team B after a number of unforeseen deaths. Unforeseen in the way Bloodborne was robbed of course.

XSEED is just porting their own properties. So is Spike Chunsoft
Falcom would have to make the CS PC port

And its still their own damn fault. Releasing that game out of nowhere, no sale for existing owners, 30$ at release...
SteamGAF saw it coming.

The price for SC is fine. That's not the issue and I made posts about that before. A large percentage of people who actually finished FC bought SC. Pricing yourself low so people throw the game in their backlog is not a sound strategy.

that's very poor excuse, games priced at $30 sell just fine.

Besides the price, the excuse isnt bad. XSeed had an event just 1 week before it was released and afaik it wasnt even announced then. Then one day the Steampage just existed, no PR at all.

And of course the excuse is valid. I mean you dont want to buy Witness, because its 40$. Other people dont want to buy Tits because its 30$.

Well, Ys titles are niche titles, I presume the public for Trails is, more or less, the same one.
The expensive Ys game is 18€, first Trails was 16€, so 30€ is a big step compared to those.
Probably people decided to wait for a sale (like me), but meanwhile the game sold poorly.

Exactly, pretty much this. All of us have D1 titles or franchise, and way more "only on sale" titles. I mean, it's pretty normal, no one can buy all games he wants on release.

I were just thinking they could port the Vita version to PC. Why would they need a PC port to port to PC.

[edit]
Damn, I get the top post all the time. Well I guess, go play Marvel Heroes 2016!

I don't think the price is such a huge issue. It's more about being a sequel to such a lenthy game and the stealth release didn't do the game any favours. It should do just fine in the long run.

In my case I bought it during the autumn or winter-sale. Dont remember which one. But I didnt even start TiTS, because everyone says its a pretty lengthy game and that is kinda scaring me.

I'm sorry, have you conveniently forgot the even XSEED had a week before TitS SC release, which promoted to hell Cold Steel and other console games while giving no mention of any of their PC games?

Why would you need Falcom to make the PC port? That doesn't make any sense, they'd only have to approve it (and, well, release the sources). QLOC can port it, any other porting house can do so.

You don't need PR for a direct sequel. The target audience already knows about the game, because they played FC.

Yeah of course they'd have to approve it. That's what I meant. It's their property. Falcom would have to be "yeah let's do it". It doesn't matter what XSEED wants. You don't know if XSEED already asked about the possibility of a port.

Your hate for XSEED about matters they have no control over is hilarious
