Agree it's all music and nobody should care who you listen too. Disagree that music is merely just sounds and has no ownership. This mentality is why Black American music is the most appropriated form of music, is one of America's greatest exports, and it's masters are owned by mostly white men.

I went to Janet Jackson's concert during the Rhythm Nation and Velvet Rope tours. Not sure how her performances are now but at least she has a huge catalogue of great songs to enjoy in case she isn't up to snuff. She was incredible back then.
