Dems are rapidly catching up to 2012 numbers in NC. At one point there were almost 10% down now it's down to 5% after 2 days of increased polling sites. At this rate by Monday it should be close to even.

Luntz said the same thing. He said next week and next weekend will be crazy.

We shall see. I'm of two minds. Do you wait until next Thursday or Friday to drop it? Letting this FBI story fester longer? Or do you drop it Monday?

I'd like to point out how night and day the crisis response has been on this incident. It helps that they are working with inside information (Huma is smart, told them what Comey might have) and they can go pedal to the metal aggressive, but the messaging has been on point and delivered in a clear way.

Much better than the summer of middling responses over emails, and slightly better than the way they handled the sick episode around 9/11.

Hopefully this kind of go for the kill repsonse approach will make its way to the Clinton WH.

edit: Comey getting torn apart from within the FBI via leaks. FBI is political but it's not partisan-it's an institution that will play politics to protect and help itself. Comey's not helping the agency, so out come the knives.

Presumablty Huma still has access to whatever she gave them, so they're completely aware its nothing.

Aren't Rs also doing worse?

And this is just early voting. Every poll has her up in NC and some materially.

Please, please read this article. This is just great journalism. Jesus!
I did. If you want more people to read it, you can make a thread in OT.

Just don't use pictures of text as quotes

I'm midway through this article, but I find this amusing:
If the Republican Party of the past was full of rich fiscal conservatives who benefited from free trade, low taxes, low regulation, and low-wage immigrant labor, Bannon envisions a new party that is home to working-class whites, grassroots conservatives, libertarians, populists, and disaffected millennials who had gravitated toward the Bernie Sanders campaign — in other words, Trump supporters.
It seems the reason they are fanning the flames about Bernie Sanders is because they're looking for possible future voting base, so they're hunting for those among millennials.

Think the gambit will work?

YAssssssss.

God this is such good journalism.

The Trump Foundation’s largest-ever gift was used to renovate a fountain outside Trump’s Plaza Hotel.
Jesus... The fuck is wrong with this guy. I shouldn't be surprised at this point, but yet he finds a way to do it somehow with just how self-absorbed, clueless, narcissistic, and completely devoid from any type of empathy he is. The stuff in this article... Jesus.

And totally agreed on that Pulitzer.

Yeah, this guy is seeking way too much attention. I think it's time we can safely ignore him.
Nah, let's have a house of cards style last week. I've faith that HRC is a better and more ruthless politican.

Her being a ruthless politican is already baked in against her, might as well show the GOP how ruthless pres Clinton will be.

So many accounts of Trump showing up at charity events and stealing the spotlight, while having donated nothing.

Like... who actually does that? Who's that completely full of themselves to that extent? That's Saturday morning cartoon villain shit, but yet he's a real 70 year old man. I can't...

When push comes to shove, the true colors come out.
Before the first debate, [Ivanka] advised her father not to mention Bill Clinton’s accusers. “She wanted to soften him. ‘The women are not the issue, Bill Clinton is not running,’ ” an adviser said she told him. And Trump, at the time, listened. “Trump knows she’s 100 percent loyal to him, so there’s no fear of another agenda.”

But Conway told me that on the day the Access Hollywood tape leaked, Ivanka took her father’s side completely. “She was defiant,” Conway recalled. “She told him, ‘It’s 11 years old, you have to fight back. You have to say you’re sorry. But you have to fight back.’ ” Still, she and Kushner were not happy about Bannon’s plan to bring Bill Clinton’s accusers to the second presidential debate to “rattle Bill and Hillary before she took the stage.”

Everyone should read this too. This is the original reporting of Trump's lame bake sale encounter, which includes him awkwardly offering to buy Nikes for students.

Mr. Trump glided to the microphone.

''First of all, who likes Nike sneakers?'' he asked. All 300 fifth graders raised their hands. Mr. Trump leaned in to drop the bombshell. ''If everybody puts their name on a piece of paper right now, I will pick 15 people and I'll take you to the new Nike store that I just opened at Trump Tower.''

The fifth graders erupted in frenzied excitement at the promise of a trip to what Mr. Trump described as the ''inner city called 57th and Fifth.'' But a little while later, 11-year-old Andres Rodriguez had a question.

''Why,'' asked Andres, whose father is dead and whose mother cannot work because of a bad leg, ''did you offer us sneakers if you could give us scholarships?''

It was a split second that split the distance wide open between the world of P.S. 70 and the celebrity constellation of Mr. Trump, who did not go to public school and whose children do not either.
Mr. Trump's sneaker lottery caused no small measure of havoc yesterday at P.S. 70, in Tremont in the Bronx. After he picked 20 students from the fifth-grade assembly, one girl who didn't make the cut told Ms. Simon that she was upset.

Natalie Blackwell, a fifth-grade teacher, was consoling her entire class of nonwinners -- ''I don't want them to think that everything in life is going to go their way,'' she said -- when Mr. Trump got wind of the disappointment and decided that that class could get sneakers, too. Later, he extended the offer to 30 special education students.

The whole thing was a bit awkward for Ms. Simon, a popular principal who tends to concentrate on problems like the crowding of 1,700 students into classrooms built for 1,400 and how to get more than 40 percent of her third graders to read on grade level. Instead, she found herself telling fifth graders to be pleased that Mr. Trump has ''brought enough beautiful, psychedelic Trump Tower hats for every child.''

Later, she said: ''I have a reading test next Tuesday. That's more important than this.''
To the student who wanted to know why he had not donated money for scholarships, he said: ''Truth? I don't know the answer to that question.''

The way the media paints this as red vs blue with the justice dept story is dumb and makes it look like they're trying to shield Hillary. This should be Comey vs. common sense.

Not even a little, he's constantly tweeting about how well he's doing based on the size of his rallies. Since all the polls are rigged and the media is crooked, that seems to be his only metric for success.

January 20th, every one should tweet Donald ...

Hey @RealDonaldTrump you were right, crowd size *is* important

There was some ad buy in Colorado recently. I saw one yesterday, and it was a Clinton ad, not a super pac.
Her campaign might have bought ads just recently. But she hasn't spent any money on ads there since the summer. Pro-Clinton super-PACs picked up the slack. They've been averaging approximately $1 million in ad buys a week.

Wow we are losing early voting in all the states now. Margin squeeze in Nevada and off North Carolina and falling behind in Florida and people even live in Pennsylvania. This is so bad.

Sheets all wet.

Is funny tough, FBI director actions were not taking sides, whereas the DOJ are!
