I'm really concerned that the most we've seen about the game is the open world, and that we've seen literally nothing about the dungeons... why would they not show anything about them? We've seen trials, but no dungeons. I'm really starting to worry that there's no dungeons in this game. The overworld is so damn huge and must have taken so much work that I can't fathom they also were able to flesh out and build complete dungeons to go along. The lack of info on them is worrying. I've yet to see a locked door.
Aonuma confirmed dungeons and so did the description of the guide.

As I mentioned earlier in the presentation, if you go to the shrines some of the items you get will increase the growth potential for Link in terms of the amount of hearts you get or the increase in the amount of stamina gauge you get. And speaking about the bigger dungeons with bosses they actually serve a completely different purpose than the shrines and so the reason that Link has to go to those dungeons is different than the reason he has to go to the shrines.
-AT-A-GLANCE WALKTHROUGHS: Annotated maps and screenshots show you the way through every quest and dungeon.

I just found a new European boxart for the Wii U -version from my local retailer's page. Don't know if this is official, but I haven't seen in anywhere else:

It's a wonder you haven't somehow glanced at the several threads where one person kept bringing up that same worry for the wrong reasons. Here.

Dude, there's been multiple statements confirming that dungeons exist.

I don't care. I want proof.

Edit: For the record, No Man's Sky was said to be a MMO game with online features for so long, and no people in the media were able to see through the lies. I don't believe anything without receipts anymore.

I really like that we haven't seen any dungeons yet. I too believe they will be few and far between, but with over 100 shrines it sounds for the better. Make them real highlights, cornerstones of the game.

have you seen this

i really prefer the constrast setting used there.
it's more colorfull, less wash oout. imo it fits better the art style
Much better! Everytime the game was shown off, the tones and colors look washed out. I hope the developers realize this, and make an attempt to correct it.

For me, the problem is less with the saturation/contrast and more with the greenish filter. A slight adjustment makes it look so much better.

I'd say it's an issue with both the color grading and contrast of the values. Those edits look great, and do a much better job in capturing the respective atmosphere in each shot.

So, guys, to change the dumb "no dungeons" subject a bit, what item/equipment/ability, new or already seem in previous games, are you really hoping to see make an appearance in this game?

I'm personally hoping for double clawshots. Considering how this game is built, with link being able to climb most surfaces, it would be really cool if you got double clawshots that you could eventually (by the end of the game) upgrade to latch into every surface that is possible to climb. Imagine traversing the world spiderman-style.

The Ocarina of Time.

Yup. I've said it many times already but i truly hate that green haze in this game, they might be doing it for the ambiance but i actually think it's detrimental to it.

I'm hoping either that or flying appears in this game. I love it when a game gives you multiple methods of traversal, so hopefully BoTW does something in that regard.

I also want a boomerang.

Magic. The ability to play as Zelda.

You've nailed it. That's the main one we need to come back, or some new item design that accomplishes the same thing.

Something else would be an ocarina-like item that let's you change the weather, time of day, etc., And gives access to certain events. Hopefully someone like that made it in there.

Your edits look so much better. Can't they implement this somehow? It looks so good.

Since I'm already at it, I may as well edit some of the promotional bullshots:

The fact that we may be able to get images like these out of emulation almost makes me want to pick up the Wii U version of the game as well as the Switch.

You know Aonuma's comment about the timeline placement, specifically noting the history of attacks by Ganon, makes me think that this might actually take place after Zelda II. The downfall timeline is the only timeline where Ganon is even a thing; in the other timelines he remained Ganondorf.

And if it's placed between OOT and ALTTP, there hasn't really been multiple attacks by Ganon yet. So the narration wouldn't make sense.

This might come at the very end of the downfall timeline, and that makes me think this might be the game where we defeat Ganon permanently.
