One of my favorite little moments was Wick pulling back the barrel to check if there was one in the chamber with the same hand he was using to hold the gun.

Also thinking about it I'm pretty sure JW2 makes Keanu one of the top actors with the highest kill count. I've tried looking it up but all the latest tracker I found seems to be from 2014.

I popped for anything regarding fancy reloads and such, Keanu put the goddamn work in

That's been the reaction in my crowds the three times I've gone to see Chapter 2, and was mine initially as well.
I very much thought John or Winston would come up with some trickery that either got Santino out of the Continental or somehow nullified his protection within it. Nope! The movie does away with the usual cinema bullshit and goes straight for the jugular. It was so unexpected.
I do wonder, though, if Santino would have survived that encounter if he had kept his mouth shut, not worn his arrogance on display and allowed Winston to talk John down.

I would have loved to see, since I thought that much of the film's humor was inspired by Keaton and Lloyd,
Wick would have ask Winston if there's a policy about dragging people outside by their hair. Winston says no, so there's a long tracking shot of Wick dragging Santino out by his hair with Santino screaming and trying to escape. He would drag just his head outside of the entrance and shoot him. The End.

Man Keanu really is to this generation of action films what Arnie was in the 80s. When you look at all the badass action films hes been in im not sure anyone else right now can touch him. The Matrix, John Wick, Speed, hell even his B movies like Constantine and 47 Ronin were enjoyable. Cant wait to see JW2.

Movie was great. I feel like his fist fighting prowess was a little at odds with his portrayal in Wick 1 but I'm ok with that as it resulted in more varied and interesting action. That fight with Common on the steps was the business tbqh. This movie had a lot more variety while still keeping the core action intact which I super appreciated as I love that super efficient seeming gunplay
I will say the movie had some WEIRD and nonsensical editing. Specifically the part where there's a fight in the white area and then the underground underpass area where it keeps cutting back and forth but it could have easily and logically been a fight scene and then move to the next scene, it was a really odd stylistic choice to do that that I felt made no sense.

Wasn't a fan. How are we mentioning reeves when people like vin diesel or Dwayne Johnson exist who fit the 80s Arnold archetype way better with arguably more blockbuster hits and films under them.

Keanu as an action guy is weird to me considering the Matrix was almost 20 years ago and he is inexplicably even more competent and focused compared to back then

Haha same here! I suggested we see this movie for Valentine's Day, but she never saw the first one. We watched it on Sunday and she loved it, so we both went to watch part 2 with eager anticipation and high expectations. Caught the 10:45 showtime at an iPic with dinner & drinks. Best Valentine's Day date ever. We were glued to the screen from beginning to end. If the 3rd one comes out with a similar release date we plan on doing the Vantine's Day showing again.
Just got back from the theater, what a fucking rush. This is easily one of the most (if not the most) stylish, well-shot action films I've ever seen.
PS: I'm thrilled there's a comic book coming, this whole universe feels like it was ripped straight from the pages of a graphic novel.

I think I would have liked that ending a little better. Not to say that I didn't enjoy the ending we got.
One other thing that stuck out to me regarding the fight choreography is how Wick was constantly trying to gain an advantage over his opponents by getting them on the ground or knocking them off their feet.
Movie melee fights (particularly in western action films) are almost always about punches and kicks, so to see a hefty utilization of Judo and Jiu-jitsu was really cool. I think helped separate out Wick's style of fighting versus other action movie characters. We saw bits of it here and there in the first film, but Chapter 2 really took it to a whole new level.

The pupper phone call got me, aha. And watching that lead me to the new John Wick honest trailer and then a video of John Wick's grunts replaced by Michael Jackon vocals.

The Rock hasn't headed up an action film in ages, and everything he has done has been forgettable tripe. The guy chooses the most abysmal roles, and his supporting performance in F&F isn't anything to write home about.
The Rock has squandered what could have been a genre-defining career. I'm sure he wishes he could be part of a film as good as John Wick.

kind of let down with the final scene of the deaf assasin?
It's been building up the whole movie and her ace in the hole is...a little knife. Her character was built up the whole movie and she gets her ass completely kicked. It's especially a let down after the fight scenes between Wick and Cassian.
