So this is the first time they've ever released additional content for a CoD game that's not the most recent one, right? Usually once a new CoD is out they stop supporting the previous one.

Actually no, they'll be set in their own timeline just like before (WAW-BO1).

Origins is what kicks off the events of Black Ops III and from there connects the entire Treyarch Zombie saga.

They said they've been planning this since CoDXP before IW even released. Even had IW released and sold a metric shit ton (which it did, just not as metric, but still higher than BF1, it's direct competitor), this DLC would still be happening.

I feel like people are trying to use this to bash IW when it was happening regardless.

The characters from the Origins time-line revisited The Giant, so they could also return to the W@W and BO 1 maps.

Nah I'll pass. I've already bought these most of these maps like twice/once on older cods. Need to say no at some point.

Very surprised to see Verruckt on the list. It always felt lost in time also felt like one of the more harder ones as well since it was limited

Acension alone might be worth this

Just been watching a stream of Moon (chronicles). Looks like a simple upscale rather than a remaster with new or revised assets. Any one have further info?

It has new and revised assets.

The suit you put on has a new animation, new gobblegums, annihilator is in the box along with the Ray Gun mark II, the voice actors came back to re-record lines, Verruckt has an Easter egg now. Zombies have different sound effects. The Swastikas across the WAW and BO1 maps are now Iron Crosses.

There's little touches, nothing too substantial, but it's not a simple remaster like BO1's remaster of WAW maps.

I guess I should have been more specific. :) I can see the stuff that's been added, tho it seems that the core graphical assets are essentially 360 era with a resolution boost. I was was hoping for a MWR style makeover.

Ah, then nah.

If anything I'd say it's using the current-gen assets, but then that's jumping into territory that I'm 100% ignorant about.

Just watching some more - very hard to tell what the assets really look like with all the video compression. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

It could be the videos yeah, in some videos Moon looks on the same graphical level as The Giant/Der Riese remake atleast and in some others it looks worse.

Yeah, pretty exciting nonetheless. Despite being an authentic experience, it'll be really cool to see the facelift.

Didn't know they was being shown off, will be looking out for the Kino one.

Origins is today but that's all I know.


Also no M1911 in these maps, as one of the YouTubers confirmed, much to my own disappointment as well.

Played a 20 round game or Origins, a 15 round game of Moon and an 11 round game of Shangri la with the squad. Unfortunately,we ran into more than a few bugs--but MAN do these maps look fantastic! Can't wait to pour hundreds of hours into this.
