Lazarus Contract conclusion

This last two Priest issues really made up for the relatively small feeling of this cross-over. It really should have been written by Priest the whole time. Still fee like the details behind the Lazarus Contract were pretty small and just kind of meh, but I really liked a lot of what was in the last two issues. Priest I feel had a great grasp on the comedy and the voices of the Teen Titans. The stuff with Wallly and Jackson was great.

Flash

I'm hesitantly optimistic about this arc. This first issue was pretty good but needs some good explanation because it can just end up being dumb.

Finished reading Notes on a Thesis yesterday. Loved it, I think it'll go on my year end top 10 list. Really funny book and Riviere's art style is such a perfect fit.

omg

Yeah, the whole issue is like a tribute to Task. He even finally proves his cape is useful for something:

Punisher and Deadpool get some great moments, too. I love the whole comic.

I may have mentioned this already, but you should also check out Ivar, Timewalker. It's a 12 issue miniseries by Van Lente where Perez does one of the arcs.

Speaking of Punisher,
heard he willingly joined Hydra and his hero, Cap.

So stupid.
He's not about order, and has no gray area, he is now clearly joining up with nazi's and villains, the man who couldn't keep his cool and murdered allied villains during the civil war? He even turned on his own team mates of the Thundebolts cause of their iffy dealings, while everyone else was cool with what was going on, the Punisher was like "fuck that"

.

Most of the story could have just been in Deathstroke and be covered in like two issues

It would have fixed a lot of my problems with the cross-over. It really felt like the first two issues were about 5% of the story and then 95% were put into the last two.

The only problem is I'm not sure it was a very good story overall, Priest just made it a lot more enjoyable.
Stuff like the Lazarus contract in general doesn't really make much sense. It was a contract to not tell anyone or else it brings the Judas contract back, but killing one of the Titans would have brought the Judas contract back, which was just a contract to kill the Titans... So Deathstroke was basically saying "I won't kill you, because if I do I will have to kill you." I like the idea of Slade using it to help Rose and Slade trying to save Grant and everything, but the details of it all seem very weird and not entirely thought out.

But Nightwing made a deal behind their backs
(that is entirely beneficial and underwhelming and i swear it something we already know that Deathstroke wanted Raveger to be a titan
) i don't get the point of the contract other than to make Dick shady

It all really seemed like this cross-over was results driven and not really put forth as a story on it's own.
Like they wanted all the teams to have some kind of turmoil and someone came up with the idea to link it all to the Judas contract and make it a cross-over.

For a comic about lesbian bondage sex Sunstone is really goddamn boring.

also Sejic is kinda clumsy as a writer and he tends to overdo it with the dialogue like he's overcompensating in order to not be the "lesbian bondage porno comic guy", and as a result it's sometimes hard to feel for the characters because they don't read as genuine

god that feels good to get it out there

I was here on the last day of may, the day we ended Sunstone. Break free from the chains of poorly written boring comics, the restraints are off!
