Priebus has been fired as WH Chief of Staff, replaced by General John F Kelly

Wow. @Kevinliptakcnn points out that Priebus is the shortest-serving chief of staff in history. 189 days.
Well thats something!

What round of Russian Roulette is it now? We got..

Flynn
Spicer
Priebus

The gun is all loaded up for Sessions now.

I know this comment will get lost in the flood of news from this administration, but...

a) Why would anyone take a job in this administration, knowing the job life expectancy of anyone who goes there?

b) I may be out of the political loop, but why have I never heard of half of these people, and even some of the ones I have (Sam Clovis) are D-list failed politicians.

After dropping the ball on healthcare, attacking Sessions, Priebus resigning and Goodfellas running communications, pretty clear that Trump is dividing himself from the GOP.

Just imagine how much damage could be done by competent politicians with this much power.

They're totally going to fuck up having complete control of the US government.

It's amazing to watch... Having a dysfunctional WH just makes it that much more incredible.

yes, it's almost like these two things are related

I get this weird feeling that Trump is going to split, officially, from the Republican party and establish some new party with some weird ass name.

Trump MAGA Party and their St Petersburg Branch.

This is quite funny, and tragic, to watch from afar. Even if I was American and a Trump supporter I can't imagine how anyone thinks this is remotely clever or "great". If Trump fired Priebus then, assuming ACA Repeals get knocked down or the debates strung out...if he starts to turn on the GOP would Mitch McConnel not start shitting bricks?

Trump threatening to split and be an independent would surely be the only "so...Impeachment?" they'd entertain >_>

Still looks good on a resume, I would imagine.

Plus you can get that sweet, sweet political contributor job at a news network.

Who is Mooch? lol

Anthony Scaramucci.

I thought Priebus had found the immunity idol, but I guess Jeff beat him to it.

Curious to see how long Sessions stays on the island. Seems like the tribes are rallying against him.

I see a little silhouetto of two hands
Scare the Mooch, scare the Mooch, Reince will do the Fandango
Maverick in-fighting, very, very fright'ning me
(Bannon hey-o) Bannon hey-o! (Bannon hey-o) Bannon hey-o! Bannon hey-o suck his own magnificoOoOoo

So is this the start of the war between Trump and the GOP?

Priebus was supposed to "control" Trump's worst behavior. Now Trump will be Trump 24/7. How much is the GOP fucked now?

Well, I'd think the more Trump turns his back on the GOP, the more incentive they'd have to impeach him. Trump might've run as Republican, but make no mistake, his party is the "Trump Party". GOP thought they could control him and have a Republican President, and majority in Senate and House would mean clear sailing. Trump's proved to be unpredictable and uncontrollable. A liability to them, even. They could easily impeach the bastard and have one of the more "loyal" people in the "presidential waiting list" take the job just to gain that "control" back and remove Trump entirely from his position of power.

My best guess is, a shot in the dark at progression for ones career. Kinda like Rosenstein before he got tossed under the buss. As the term continues on it gets harder and harder to understand why though.

David Brooks wrote a good column a while ago about the Trump Administration's staffing problems, which will only get progressively worse.

The first six months have seen a succession of people rising and falling in his esteem as Trump blames them for this administration's lack of success. Priebus is gone. Kelly will not be any better, not for lack of ability, but because this government's problems begin with one Donald J. Trump, and he won't let anybody help him.

Nobody of any quality is going to be joining this administration going forward. So as Trump cycles through more and more advisors, the White House and executive offices will be more and more staffed with third and fourth-string bozos.

I feel like Priebus may have been the glue holding the vast majority of the GOP to Trump.

This move might just seal his fate and give the House the balls to start drafting articles of impeachment. They aren't going to allow a rouge RINO be in the whitehouse.

Things should start to get very interesting very quickly.
