Well, that's weird. I guess Warner Bros figured live-action variety shows featuring dudes dressed up in costumes and singing music were never coming back and said, "Screw it, let's see if we can make a buck turning beloved children's characters into murderous robots".

Sounds like a reasonable enough decision making process for Warner Bros.

Not sure how many were around when they were a thing, but they were an icon of my childhood and this is surreal

What the actual fuck? I mean I wasn't a huge fan but I didn't dislike them or damn sure didn't think they were scary. Is this more commentary about rejecting everything that is old and building a new world?

Also...

Eh, I'm not surprised. They already remade Land of the Lost as a horror movie.

Well, horrible movie, but then this will fall into that too. Maybe they will turn H. R. Pufnstuf into a rape-revenge dramedy after that.

what the fuck is this, i was born in 85, did i miss this?

oh, 70s

LOL YOU OLD FUCKS, get rekt by entropy

Well, I was born in 89 and I'm familiar with the Banana Splits thanks to reruns on Cartoon Network in the 90s, like I said.

I'm familiar with most of those old 60s/70s Hanna Barbera shows thanks to reruns.

My mom enjoyed the original when she was a kid and she thinks this horror re-imaging looks great.

I think its pretty damn cool as well. I love it when they complete rejigger shit like that and it looks decent.

It was ok at best. Very low budget and it shows. Decent kills though. The scene where the robot sets the dude on fire and dances the whole way through really cracked me up
