Have you ever got confused thinking of a game when you read the title only to find out it was a different game?

That might not be your fault, but the ones picking the name titles of the games.

You see, developers (or publishers) keep picking the same names and words for the titles, despite having more than 170.000 words (just in English).

What are the most overused names?

No, Royale nor Clash count because I'm not including mobile lol

Something -fall seems to be pretty popular. I suppose Godfall makes sense, but I'm not sure how gravity can affect something like Greed.

Definitely "Origins" for me. Also, for some reason I've played a good handful of games with some important artifact or place called "The crusible".

“War” is pretty common word: God of War, Gears of War, World at War, Shadow of War, WW1, Warfare, etc etc.

Though I have to congratulate Guerilla for one of the most generic titles ever for a good game: Horizon Zero Dawn.
I mean, seriously?

I remember GAF when Horizon was announced. So many posts about the goofy name, it was glorious :messenger_tears_of_joy:
