I guess I'd go with Japan because there's some variety but all three are not great if you ask me. Japan's is decent though.

I like Nintendo, and I have to agree with you. I'm not playing any of those top 5 right now except for occasionally Mario Kart. Maybe Smash if guests beg. In my head, I figure that I would play GTAV and RDR2 more than I will play those top 5 Nintendo games. I just like other Nintendo games more than these ones, although I do like Mario Kart quite a lot.

It's sad to me to see that Japan's market favors these smaller, shallower experiences over the deeper, longer adventure games.

It's weird because I love Animal Crossing, Mario Kart and Splatoon. In one sense I should pick Japan. However, I'm inclined to say I prefer the US for some weird reason (probably because those Japanese games are games I'd play in bursts).

Fuck it. Japan wins.

Not particularly fond of any of these games but I guess I could muster some fun out of Mario Kart and Splatoon so Japan wins by default... which would still be the case even without Nintendo: SEGA, Capcom, Falcom, Platinum Games, Ark System Works, SNK, Square-Enix, Namco alone provide more than plenty, and if we put in the rest of Asia with games from China, Taiwan and Korea I'm set for life.

Switch is a handheld that can you connect to the TV. not an actual console. why don't we include iOS while we are at it?

for consoles MHW, FF7R, DQ2 are surly top sellers in Japan. so going with them.

NPD, GFK, MediaCreate, Famitsu, Dengeki, and etc should've contacted you before declaring Nintendo Switch as a real dedicated gaming console.

How strange.

I would consider my taste more Western and I've only really begun to embrace Nintendo games recently in my 30s but I have to admit, Japan actually has three games in the top five that I enjoy and their list is way more well rounded.

I'm not really a COD or FIFA fan so that rules out the US and UK lists (despite living in the UK).

The lists are definitely the casual games of the respective regions. Horrible all around. The only game on that list I play is Mario Kart 8 with my daughters. Japan is games for kids, america is games for teenagers and UK is games for lads. But hey, not complaining, I’ve had a blast this gen even though my favorite games would never climb on those lists.

I chose Japan as a minor evil, but if the titles in the various ranking were the only ones that this hobby has to offer, I would have already given it up without regrets

UK's best selling Top Ten list over 10 years is sadly FIFA for the top 8 with COD and GTA5.

Went with Japan but only because it is varied (genre wise).

Absolutely none of those games appeal to me. If I would be forced to play any of them though, it would be from the Japanese list.

Would go with Japan. But I did like RDR2

I do like Call of Duty but the only one I enjoyed this gen was Infinite Warfare funny enough, campaign was pretty good.

Fuck no to Fifa.... our fanbase in UK is so sad..... at least COD slightly changes game per game apart from the online only black ops

Ah I enjoyed PES much more.
And I did Play Fifa. Just got fed up when it seems like they use the same engine as the PS2 days lol.

Give me PES with Fifa Licenses and Im good
