Yes, my thoughts exactly

My only real complaint about GoT, the lack of supernatural shit. And my jubai outfit being missing

That is what I liked since almost all others are fantasy/supernatural. They did have the folklore side quests, but then explained in a natural way.

I am glad they are doing this in a separate mode to add a new dynamic to the world.

This is online only, right? No local?
Even split-screen with half the graphics it would be good for me.

Cool? Cool. Thanks!

Does this mean they're pro-consumer again?

On the real though it's great Sony are pushing multiplayer hard. GOT Legends (totally unexpected for me), Factions from Naughty Dog which is going to be amazing, and Guerilla's FPS in development.

Happy times and shows PlayStation doesn't just mean 'cinematic experiences'.

Sucker Punch -
"There are no microtransactions in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, and we have absolutely no plans to add them. All of the content is unlocked through play."

Sony - Huh?

Forbidden West will have co-op at launch. In fact, it is one of the game's biggest selling points:

If i remember correctly, Guerrilla Games wanted to implement co-op in Horizon Zero Dawn during its development but decided to cut the feature. Can't remember the reasoning behind it but not surprised that the Forbidden West will have it.

Good on sucker punch/sony to make this available and free probably as a reward for the fans supporting the game, EA/activision/ubisoft would've found some way to monetize this

Basically, because they couldn't have the level of fidelity in the environments given the target hardware, co-op was dropped. This (among other things) is discussed in the NoClip documentary about HZD, which is highly recommended if you have even a passing interest in that game.

I hope I'm wrong about this and it's really fun...but the AI and combat in this game are so awful for multiplayer that I don't see this being anything with a heartbeat.

I'll cross my fingers.

I would buy the game again if is only ps5.

btw I enjoy more games that are not supernatural related (demons, ghost, zombies) that’s whyI prefer uncharted 4, psvita and Uncharted 3 (the monster are influence of the drugs)

So I’m glad this is side event not related with the real story.

Yeah, I'm going to have to be Mr. Grinch on this one.

Why do all Japanese games have to be based around mythology? It's fucking cliche, and it was so refreshing to have a game that was grounded. Not that I play MP so this won't affect me, but it doesn't speak favorably on their future plans. GoT 2.....another Sekiro or Nioh. Endless lifebars and hacking, because....well.....we're operating in the realm of the supernatural. Woo-hoo, so exciting.

I agree with SolidRev......I'm not hacking down tree people or killing sprites.....I'm killing people. One blow. Except when I'm not, and fighting the supernatural, and then my game becomes just as mundane and rote as all the other treading such familiar territory. This was one thing GoT had going for it.

Is that the actual classes? Assassin, Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, also the Hunter seems to be female, guess you can create female (the opposite would've been weird right?)
There had been some famous female Samurais. And obviously every other class have no real gender association. Remember that the single player game has only one backstory and name so you can't really change it, but all bets are off with the multiplayer.

This right here is the kind of thing I had originally expected out of a game made by Sucker Punch. When they revealed that Ghost of Tsushima was going to be grounded in reality and history I was initially disappointed and it took me awhile to warm up to the idea. Then the game ended up being great regardless of my preconceived notions of what a Sucker Punch game should be. Even though I got over it and embraced it I still felt like I wanted them to go back to the fantastical. Then Sucker Punch said, "Why not both?"

The fact I never asked for this and never expected it would be a thing in a world where leaks are a dime a dozen is what makes this great.

I think i'm going to go make love to my wife now, something has to put down this erection I've gotten.

With GoT's combat really so much better compared to AC or W3, and this being free with no microtransactions, Sony already stomped curb the competition dead this gen and looks like next gen too.

Nevermind, someone already answered the same thing.

? huh? Did you beat Ghost? It has many fantasy elements in it. I believe the setting is historical, not all the elements of the game. Sorta like historical fiction if you will, like Inglorious Bastards. Real war, fake story and events...

Danjin44 Danjin44 Well for all we know that's already in development like InFamous First light

If it's only sword play without ninja OP stuff and limited cures this can be interesting.

i hope for some neat boss now that they can use supernatural stuff, the "demon" fight in the vanilla game was dope.

Ooh, this is something I would be totally onboard with. I really, really would like a single-player DLC - but if it's within the game world, once you've 100%d it an additional story wouldn't make sense. But as another character, it could work.

So keeping up with the "First Light" analogy, which side character would you like to have his/her own spinoff adventure?

Easily Lady Masako, I LOOOOOOVED her character. I want a prequel with her younger with her family members defending the clan and showing how that whole clan war broke out lol

Lady masako and Yuna were standouts for me in Ghost story. So were Kenji, Taka, Ishikawa and Norio. I'd be down for an uncharted lost legacy type ghost game with both lady masako adachi and yuna being playable and both of them working together to defend an unknown threat in the northern plains as Jin has to head to the south.
