Doesn't it also indicate how confused the messaging is about the naming of these systems? When people on a hardcore gaming forum like this don't get it off the bat, how are casuals going to react?
There's a little bit of drama seeking/wishful thinking going on here though. The average person won't be scrambling to assume the worst.

i just don't buy it...why specify the seriesX...if everything xbox just magically works, its just coming out for xbox?

i don't understand how blind fanboy consumerism is somehow magically more informed than simply asking questions about things?

No its just not good. I mean how do you put it to somebody, its for xbox series, series models?
Its obtuse, I'm sorry.

It's not. Series S and X play the exact same games. Series X is the premium 4K console at $499, Series S is entry level 1080p box at $299.

Not that difficult really.

It looks really good. Aside from the one screenshot, not too divorced from current gen, but you can definitely see the jump. Which is a pleasant thing to say about a third party next-gen game for once.

Yes it is Microsoft is not certifying any game with out a series s version. This is just wishful thinking and praying for another Craig moment.

If it concerns you then you should be asking for clarification as that rule may only apply to first party and not third.

Look amazing. Everything about this project is pure gaming bliss.

Begs the question though, why did so many developers leave CP2077?

This looks freaking RAD artistically. I've been waiting for something like this for ages. Might actually come pretty close to my dream game on that front at the least.

Devs come and go on a project as their tasks are achieved. This is common. You wouldn't contract someone longer than you needed them to be there on a job. For instance, in construction, the plumber would go home and onto other jobs once his task was complete even though the building he was just working on wasn't finished.

Consumers a dumb...what is the harm in devs being clear?
They have plenty of time it is a unreal 5 game so late 2021 best case. The 3rd party marketing teams I'm sure just need to get used to including it since the NDA Is up.

I imagine it doesn't concern him, because Series S support is an absolute given. You seem to be concerned though. Hopefully I've reassured you.

This is a prime example of why Xbox fans always get trampled on.

Yes, great comeback. Fight people pointing out what’s written instead of the author.

The Gamesradar article also neglects to mention the S as a supported console.

It doesn't have to be mentioned. It's a given. In the time you spent looking up that article you could've found the below instead and saved me the effort...

"The Xbox Series S will play every game that can be played on Xbox Series X, just at a lower resolution with lower quality textures."

.

"why Xbox fans always get trampled on." I think it may be because some people find facts irritating.

Microsoft is well known for its exaggerated PR. You should be well aware of that by now. Almost everything they state has an invisible asterisk applied.

Honestly not arguing...more interested from a "why the F can people be clear" standpoint haha... but can you show me that from MS instead of a 3rd party website? When i look at the Xbox site is mentions games optimized for X/S as long as the X/S dev kit was used...it seems to leave open that there may be a dev kit that is not an X/S one but maybe just an X or S (just S would be dumb). Like...where on Xbox website does it say that all future Xbox X games will work on the S?

Is this the asterisk?

*Just remember, the Series S will play every game that can be played on Xbox Series X, just at a lower resolution with lower quality textures."

Sounds and looks good.

I really like this image:

WOW :messenger_fire:

This is based on the book with the same name by Stanislaw Lem, which expands upon concepts from his first book, The Astronauts. They're working with Lem's estate on it.

AWESOME. That kind of spoils the plot tho but whatever, gonna keep an eye on this

Oh, wow.

Lem is one of sci-fi's greatest, unfortunately not known very well in the West.
He was THE GREATEST of all of them. His books were my first contact with scifi literature. Going from his and Strugatsky brothers books to west sci-fi was painfull. I still cannot read any popular sci-fi book like for example Star Wars ones because how bad they all are.

Nope, but neither will they know, I buy product S and only product X is listed on the box... That game is not for my console.

Well, Series S is digital only, so what's listed on the box isn't a massive concern is it?
I just realized that MS boxes will actually be more clearly marked that PS5 ones. If you will look onto XSX box it will be marked only with XSX but on PS5 boxes there will not be any info about them not working on digital only PS5.

Off topic but would you mind writing a few titles here to get hold of. I would like a read..

Solaris, Invincible, His Master's Voice, The Star Diaries, The Futurological Congress, Tales of Pirx the Pilot. Be warned that his books vary from fables through hard sci-fi to philosophical treatises.
Cheers Kuncol, I'll check them out. The more philosophical treatises the better :)

I'll finish Neuromancer and get stuck in.

Also, definitely read Eden by Lem.
And don't miss Strugatsky brothers - the top Soviet sci-fi writers. Check Roadside Picnic, the whole "Noon: 22nd Century" series is amazing, Hard to be a god.
Actually, almost all their stuff is worth reading.
