The Medium Review Thread

So...did the developers say they could port this game to the Xbox One someday??? Any word on that?

The argument that the HDD on last gen consoles is the limitation seems total bullshit because HDD equipped PCs can run it.

I just cannot see why Xbox One (especially the X) couldn't run it with adjustments (lower image and textures resolution and toned down post processing effects).

Not every new game needs to be cross-gen. This game will still be there when you move to the new gen.

Based on what has been said, the split view is not possible on Xbox One S, memory wise. I think it's smart to not hold back the current-gen version.

This is one of the most de demanding games ever made so I doubt X1 version will happen, maybe with single reality only.

I'm just after Tomasz (they really did some weird mix of polish and english with character names...) part, I think this game gets better and better. 7/10 right now.

It's also read "Tomaš"?
if you know what those characters mean

Yep, I just found some weird stuff on youtube that confirms that :messenger_tears_of_joy: I had the most trouble with this shit while growing up...

Why even change names to their english versions like: Ryszard -> Richard, Tomasz -> Thomas - when eng speakers would probably be fine with them (they are not very slavic).

I think you're right about the hard drive... but I can imagine a world where the One S or OG Xbox One can't run both scenes simultaneously at an acceptable resolution at 30fps...
But original Xbox owners should resign themselves to the fact they could be seeing Nintendo Switch like resolutions in games now anyway.... in which case I believe it could probably work.
Just 540p the thing! Everyone will complain but it should be alright.

WOW 75 feels like a masterpiece for that game... it is too high.
Seems spot on to me. I rated it 8/10 at the launch. Steam reviews is sitting at 88%, 92% for recent ones.

What part didn’t you like? Water area? That was the low part for me. Nearly gave up there. But the atmosphere and the maw was what kept me going, combined with being so helpless, I continuously felt anxious, similar to how I feel playing a Silent Hill game, that’s a plus for the genre. It’s not for everyone though.

I really can't go further. The ones who finished the game is it worth the time or should I just pass and play something else?

If you're not enjoying it, let it go. I was a big graphical adventure nut during the 90s so I immediately liked that they brought that back with excellent graphics. You'll only get more frustrated when the game starts throwing you instant-death sequences.

Let it go.

I'm a big fan of these games it reminds me of the good old days but my concern was not because of the camera angle or the graphics, but the story.. is it interesting? Cuz I'm tired of walking around more and more with nothing

I didn't find it interesting and wasn't paying that much attention to be honest. It starts well with some intrigue but there's too much narrative exposition to tie everything together by the end. I prefer my horror games to be more abstract. I was in for the graphics, music and overall mood.

Thanks man

Playing this since it leaves gamepass soon.

Gotta say I sorta love it so far. About 3 hrs in. The game isn't the most polished but they have lots of cool and legitimately original ideas. Having the split screen gameplay is pretty dang cool. Its basically just walking and exploring though and nothing else. Not sure I'd be happy if I bought it. But for GP subscribers I'd recommend playing it before the 14th. Supposedly around 10 hrs.
