Game looks fantastic. I wasn't quite sold until I saw the grappling hook mechanics. Must have. Sucks no release date though.

Shame the gameplay doesn't interest me though.

Not super thrilled with the art direction (San Francisco would apparently become the most color saturated jungle ever if it wasnt for people!) but technically, the game looks dope. Reminds me of why I enjoyed the combat so much in the first one. Its definitely a day 1 purchase.

Definitely a step up from the first but I think we can agree it doesn't look as nextgen as R&C or Demon's Souls.

I'm hoping we'll hear more of the PS5 advantages/improvements this will get over the PS4 version.
It sure looks pretty, I think Ratchets environments lend themselves more to a next generation look but this seems to have organic environments which are far harder to render. Not blown away by the gameplay, seemed seen it all before but looked solid.

No release date?
I don't know if it was the stream or not but it seemed like the framerate did jump in some moments. It looks great but I was expecting the hair clipping to be solved and the debris from the falling walls to not disappear that soon. These minor details really bother me

so .. now... the Game looks not as open then the first one - reason? PS4 of course. Exactly the same reason what made Halo having those cutoff islands of some sort. It there to cut of line of sight. Because the old COnsoles cannot handle to much detail in to much distance. ANd if they wqould not have cared for that and did all PS5 could do, Horizon Forbidden West would look worse on PS4 then HZD!

The lighting in general looks flat and iam sure i saw some shadow cascades .. Also foliage is not reacting to aloy. It looks exactly as what it is . a cross gen game.

Yeah fuck that paraglider and the stupid melee combat with flashy moves and finishers, exactly what I didn't want. Everything else looked fire tho

Looked okay I was hoping they would take some bigger steps forward with the sequel

And it seems to be becoming more and more Assassins Creed than the WRPG it was originally pitched as

That makes sense. All the poop on the streets over there is laying the ultimate layer of fertilization.

Well that looked super fun to play. Seems like it has an even bigger variety of tools and options the player can use in combat than the first game.

There will definitely be a 60 fps option. This is probably native 4k 30 fps so 1440p 60 fps should be easily doable with the next gen cpus.

even if its 4kcb 30 fps, 1080p 60 fps should be in the same pixel budget. there is really nothing stopping them from making 60 fps versions this time around. there is no jaguar holding back the framerate.

yeah I’m sure they went for the most breathtaking sharpness they could go for. Looked absolutely bonkers. amazing what these consoles will pump out, I just hope I can get my option to play at 60 with a little fuzzier, lower res image.

Only caught the end when Aloy was fighting the giant robot elephant. Looks good, but graphical issues like all the boulders and debris disappearing.

The YT link from the PS blog wasnt great at all. It was 1080p/30. Will look for a better quality feed after dinner which is 60 fps if there's one available.

Aloy looks like a teenager compared to the first game?
