Well, I guess the game was finished and the movie simply hasn’t been announced since cinemas are closed in many countries. Wierd situation.
Woops, I guess I’m simply out of the loop! The movie has been announced. December 16, 2022. Avatar 3 is December 20, 2024.
The actual retail game wont look anywhere near that level of fidelity, so what's even the point?
That was no more than a fancy tech demo for their engine.

Remember:
Holy shit.
Well it actually said 'Footage powered by Snowdrop', which makes you think its in engine at least. Is it even that? They never labeled it as in-engine, just that the project is being built with Snowdrop. I hope they can achieve this (Snowdrop is a great engine, obviously it's never been pushed like this but it's made for latitude like this,) The actual game will be a first-person game though and most of this footage is third-person, so we'll have to see what bearing the first trailer has on the playable game.
for a next-gen only title, the graphics didnt blow me away
Fully expecting one. However, A next gen downgrade will still be better than a cross gen game downgraded by last gen consoles.Remember:
Watchdogs Downgrade...
The Division Downgrade...
We are talking about Ubisoft.

In case this really get released in 2022...
It's likely only launching holiday '22 [close to movie], so next E3 we'll see the actual gameplay.I loved the trailer, it was a nice surprise to seem something of this and hopefully if they're targeting 2022 this is some indication of the visual quality we'll get in game, especially with it being focused on PS5, Xbox Series systems, PC and the other streaming platforms, not PS4 and XBox One holding it back.
Hopefully it's an open world, action adventure game, with a Single Player mode, but also a good online mode too.
Maybe Ubisoft are waiting to show actual playable gameplay on one of their Marketing Partner's Streams.
Check the start of the trailer at the bottom, it says 'Game footage powered by Snowdrop'Check again? I only see it says "Powered by Ubisoft Snowdrop", as in the game is on that engine, but that's not to say the game trailer is in-engine. (Weirdly, they don't have a disclaimer either way, which they're usually careful to note.)
They are definitely being sneaky about it. but they did release these screenshots. companies dont tend to release screenshots of CG trailers.Check again? Yeah Warlords of New York is stunning maxed out on PC. This is a level above though to be fair.Snowdrop is the best engine out there jesus christ. People saying that it wont look like this just need to boot up Division 2 on pc (the expansion part), max it out in 4k and turn on HDR
It already does
awfully early in the gen to say something like this, this is one of the very first third party "next gen only" games we've seenFunny, because if the final game ends up looking like that in-game, it would be the best looking game of this gen so far bar none.
i trust in the power of the mighty mouse to force their hand into releasing a good productRemember:
Watchdogs Downgrade...
The Division Downgrade...

Love the Snowdrop engine, but this is a massive jump in quality from their previous iteraitons, doubt.Next gen baby!
It's next-gen only, so there's a genuine chance it'll look as good as the trailer on PC running at max details @ 4K.The actual retail game wont look anywhere near that level of fidelity, so what's even the point?
That was no more than a fancy tech demo for their engine.
Would inspired confidence had it been some sort gameplay trailer, or anything running in realtime.
TBH This doesn't seem too far fetched for a next-gen only game on the Snowdrop engine. Massive Entertainment made very good looking games with The Division.
Holy shit.

i will wait something else that first ubibullshot showing.
I like both, and its just my opinion but i think the spectacle of Pandora will just be more immersive in first person.I was very excited until I learned it will be in first person. This would have been so awesome as a third person open-world game.
We go through this at the start of every generation with Ubisoft, it's almost like a rite of passage now.
For some reason people never learn.
If the cross gen game play better who will care ?
Yeah who in their right mind would ok a bunch of sequels to the biggest most successful film of all time that's spawned a fucking Disney park... Oh wait some internet people didn't like it...The movie didn't deserve a sequel or 3 and now it's getting another game. I hope it's good for the ones that are into the world of Pandora
I think Avatar would work better in third person. I want to see the main character running throught the jungle and climbing trees. I have a feeling that the game will become third person when you start flying.I like both, and its just my opinion but i think the spectacle of Pandora will just be more immersive in first person.
Unobtainium warchest $99.99 **best value!**There'd better be unobtainuim and it better be hard to obtain.
You are in for a wild ride. This is the first time I've been hyped for a Ubisoft game in my entire life
Horizon is a cross gen game and I thought Ratchet looked like PIxar according to people.New Ratchet and HZD 2 looks looks like shit in compare with Avatar. This is 100% CGI, not real time.
I was clearly making a subjective comment based off the quality of the film and primarily the story, not the commercial success of the film. No shit Fox and now Disney greenlit 3/4 sequels, I also would be happy if Universal stopped making Fast and the Furious.Yeah who in their right mind would ok a bunch of sequels to the biggest most successful film of all time that's spawned a fucking Disney park...
