The PlayStation 5 sucks, actually - Desperate blogger creates clickbait article and headline

The fact that these games "journalists" are getting paid for putting garbage like this article out there pisses the hell out of me.

Nobody gives a shit about your stupid uninformed opinions you moron, get your shit together and do some real journalism or get the fuck out of the industry.

Software. Quick resume is exactly the same as resuming from putting the console to sleep which the PS5 already does. The memory is dumped to the hard drive and loaded back upon turning it back on. Quick resume does the same thing but for multiple games at once. Sony either just didn't think of it or didn't want to reserve that much more hard drive space for the feature when SSD space is already at a premium.
Microsoft probably patented Quick Resume Feature for gaming.

This crap happens every gen. PlayStation seems always to be the target for western media/bloggers/jurnos not sure why.
Yep. Start of every new gen PS sucks and Xbox rules. Then come end of the gen its the other way around.

People do these articles to get web traffic. Journalistic integrity has gone out the window decades ago.

I don't pay attention to any articles anymore for this reason and neither should anyone in this thread.

Only reason why PS5 sells more is due to the momentum from PS4, doesn't take a scientist to figure that one out, unless you're a fanboy.

Yes, and the PS4 sold more than the XO, because of the PS3, and the PS3 sold more than the X360, because of the PS2, and the PS2 sold more than the OG, because...

Having exclusive games is what matters most. Xbox has never really had flagship “mascots” to prop up their brand (other than Master Chief) through must-play exclusive software since Halo: Reach, unlike Nintendo (Mario, Luigi, Zelda, Kirby, Peach, etc.) and Sony (Nathan Drake, Spider-Man, Kratos, Ellie/Joel, Solid Snake, Crash Bandicoot, etc.).

Clearly, consumers will ignore the rest when they’re too invested in their favorite characters/franchises. Once that changes, Xbox will find success and the difference will diminish.

I cry about Xbox and hate PlayStation.
So, I came across this stellar piece of gaming journalism: The Article

Basically, it can be summarized into the following key points:

- SSD expansion is a mess
- Smart Delivery is better then the mess PS5/PS4 has.
- No native solution to better improve older games
- No faceplates
- Playstation Plus sucks
- No Backwards compatibility
- No Quick Resume
- No Dolby Vision or Atmos support
- No 1440p
- Submenus and turning off the console is a pain
- SSD expansion is a mess - screw and unscrew something is too hard for you?
- Smart Delivery is better then the mess PS5/PS4 has. - i agree but not a deal breaker for me.
- No native solution to better improve older games - not that important.
- No faceplates - dont care
- Playstation Plus sucks - no its not.
- No Backwards compatibility - ?????
- No Quick Resume - not that important feature
- No Dolby Vision or Atmos support - dont care, i cant differentiate anyway
- No 1440p - i agree, but still, not a deal breaker for me.
- Submenus and turning off the console is a pain - ????

You would think they understand that content is king with microsoft going acquisition crazy but they still keep going on about BC, quick resume and smart delivery, like any of that means shit compared to actual games. How you gonna overestimate features like that and underestimate games? Xbox fans in particular have a hard time grasping this basic concept and they nitpick the most dumbest shit about playstation.
well...just like the last 2 generations. Both consoles share about 90% of the same library. so jot that down

The more I read this the more I'm convinced this article was wrote by a forum dwelling console warrior.
Not even Paul fucking Tassi will write shit like this.

As a new ps5 owner, i have to say i agree. The no quick resume is bs, ps plus sucks donkey balls, and the dpad for demons souls is terrible, but i like it just like that.
launching games takes seconds with these SSD's why do you need quick resume? why do people who say this play multiple games at once its so weird - get your ADD in check. PS Plus is amazing and since the PS5 has launched they have had great games. I dunno what you're saying about the dpad but whatever floats your weird boat- its not terrible, that's objective not subjective.

Fun fact - more PS2 games can be played on PS5 then Xbox games can be played on Xbox Series.

Fun fact: more PS2 games can be played on XSX than the last two generations of Playstation.

Also, streaming from a server isn't backwards compatibility.

I'd hardly count unofficial means. Average joe buying a console isnt going to do that. Average gaffer? Different story.

That was weird about the D pad, I had to think is there something bad about it? Nope

He's got a point. Many in fact.

If this was a few week ago, the SSD is a mess point would had worse at "there's no SSD expansion for 9 months".

I don't understand why folks on here constantly talk about how much an article sucks, or its source. But then gives the link to give them clicks, lmao. Don't give them that.

PS5 is doing more than fine. 🤷🏻‍♂️

All of these points are at least somewhat accurate, despite how much or how little they may personally bother you.

Criticism leads to better products. There's no need to rush to Sony's defense here.

Does he though? Several of those subjective. Ps plus sucks? Compared to what? Certainly not games with gold. 1440p? Useless to 99 percent of people buying this console. Turning off the consoles is a pain? I suppose if you're touched in the head. I could go on. Its fanboy nonsense imo.

I would argue that the PS+ collection offers better value.
I don't understand this argument 90% of the PS+ collection is on Gamepass and the other 10 is exclusives they probably already bought.

It offers little value to a diehard Sony fan.

I made the same argument about Gamepass for the first 2 or 3 years of its life, it offered nothing to me because I already owned it all. Now that MS has shifted gears and got games coming day 1, it offers me enough to make it worth my money.

No backwards compatibility? Blatantly incorrect. No faceplates? Also incorrect. When 75 percent of his shit is either blatantly incorrect or subjective it's a fanboy shitshow.

Some of them are crap. The faceplate point is the most useless one. I like my systems black, but if it only comes in white (like Xbox 360 OG), not the end of the world.

This thread is the one of the most hilarious and depressing things ever. Like how do some of you explain to your imaginary girlfriends what’s bothering you??
It's quite insane, isn't it. This thread can be summarised as: 'How DARE a random person ON THE INTERNET have the audacity to NOT think that the Playstation is THE BEST. THIS. WILL. NOT. STAND.'

It's just pathetic, and considering the shit that goes on here, that's saying something.

The PS5 is easily the worst system Sony has ever released. Terrible UI, technical issues, lukewarm first party lineup, PS Plus sucks. Fite me, nerds.

The problem with the internet is that it seemingly doest cost you to read something you know is crap. In the real world you’d never buy a magazine that covers shit like that, but online where everything is covered by ad revenue people tend to klick on any trash.

If more people wouldn't treat online content creators as "journalists", I think that would solve half the issues. And click bait web masters looking for their 2 cents per click revenue stream to make a living wouldnt need to resort to writing hit pieces. I dont see National Geographic, Wall Street Journal or Weather.com writing weird shit to get a click.

My buddy had a game site 10 years ago and got rid of it years ago. He has a day job.

If anyone out there wanted to call him a journalist, he'd probably laugh. Hes a stand up guy and would say he isn't, but just a guy who wants to upload some articles for fun after dinner in his spare time.

Several of those PS+ collection games have sold, what, 2M copies? And PS+ has 45M subscribers. It’s fair to say that it represents a lot of value to the subscribers.
Just checked - only 45% of this year’s PS+ games are available on gamepass.

People who weren't subscribed to PS+ on that given month no longer can get those for "free"

When we talk PS Plus collection, we are talking about the 20 games that are avaliable to anyone now.

Looking at that list it seems like they took games off. It was around 50 at the start of the gen wasn't it?

No offense to you personally but I can't take anyone serious who thinks that the PS5 launch was worse than the PS3 or PS4 (I'm referring to the launch window games)
So what was better?

Instead of telling him he's wrong, show us the work.

Ps5 launch is better because?
