Joe Rogan's Podcast |OT|

Neighbours from Hell
I actually have enjoyed his guests lately. I find him shooting the shit and talking shit with other comedians entertaining. I'd rather have that than another nutrition specialist or hunting expert

Joe sounding a bit like Alex at some points in this one :messenger_smirking:

Eddie has been on Tripoli's podcast recently. But yeah, it's time for another one with them all on JRE.
yeah I saw that one, it was a nice surprise, but Eddie is like in his home on Sam's podcast, he doesn't get challenged as much, when Eddie is on Joe's podcast he's all out, that's what I want to see, but Joe probably doesn't like arguing with Eddie so that's why he's stopped having him so much and not really gonna see him back soon

Well Joe's in Austin now so yeah it's probably not as easy for him anymore. But Eddie might move soon too.

Alex went on a couple other podcasts recently too. You should check out the Viva Frei one for a more serious discussion.

I know Lex Fridman is supposed to be a smart dude, and I don't disagree with a lot of what he's saying...but Jesus his pace of talking and the monotone way he speaks is crippling my attention span...this is hard to listen to.

I brought up something similar when I tried to listen to his podcast when Jocko was on. He's not a very good speaker. He's a brain for sure but his speaking style is super dry.

He is about as entertaining as reading a help file.

It's too bad, forced myself through it and he really does have some great points (if not the most groundbreaking), but I could never "follow" him...life is too short.

Joe caught COVID.

Joe: "I felt like shit after being on the road. Tested positive. I had a cocktail of treatments that included monoclonal antibodies, steroids, vitamin D drip, ivermectin and other things. And I'm feeling good after a bad day or two."

The media: "Joe Rogan has caught COVID and is trying to treat it with ivermectin, a drug made for horses."

Can they be anymore agenda-driven?

I looked at Reddit earlier and I'm convinced most of the people with a strong opinion on Rogan getting Covid don't actually listen to him.

On social media, that's definitely the case.

"He's a right winger who promotes anti-vaxxers on his show."

"Do you listen to Rogan?"

"No"

"Then how do you know?"

"I read it on social media"

Yeah, that's the problem. MSNBC putting out headlines that are flat out lies.

I am vaxxed (with two shots of moderna) and got COVID at the beginning of August. I fell very ill, and around day 11, my fever got worse and my blood oxygen levels dropped into the 70's. I had trouble breathing. I was in big trouble. The hospital was little help. They said I was "borderline" for the ICU, and sent me home with an oxygen machine.

A veterinarian family member recommended ivermectin, and I had it shipped to me the next day. On day 12, I took a dose of ivermectin, and within 24 hours my fever dropped. I took two more doses over the next two days and was able to eat and felt even better. I needed oxygen for the next week as my levels were still high 80's/low 90's, but I was over the hump of the illness.

I feel like the ivermectin did something for me. I feel like if I had taken it sooner I may have not gotten to the point I did. I hate how it has become a political thing. Vaxxed or non-vaxxed, don't we all want to find a cure for this thing? I also don't understand why the FDA is so against it when it is used for other human illnesses. The drug really turned things around in countries like India, just look at the numbers.

It worries me that a drug that is showing to be effective against COVID is so trashed, and discarded as a "drug made for horses".

Tim Dillon led off his latest episode announcing that Joe Rogan died from COVID, it was hilarious. That guy's podcast makes my Saturday nights. It's just an hour of total insanity.

So, who do you all think would win? Would Cenk "end" Joe Rogan? I'd love to see that fight, maybe with Alex Jones as commentator :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Pretty much Rogan. He has extensive martial arts background(BJJ and Taekwondo) and is built like a chimp. (Have you seen how muscular he actually is? I'm seriously wondering if one of the drugs he uses to "fight covid" is massive amounts of roids.) As far as I know Cenk is just some fat slob and is about the same height.

I can't tell if this is real or not. Rogan could put him on his ass with a calf kick.

Wouldn't mind seeing Cenk on JRE though.

I'm not sure which is more cringeworthy for the CNN Medical Correspondent, the first video or the second:

Supercut (for those unaware of the whole CNN/Ivermectine controversy):

Jesus so pathetic and even more so having to write an article explaining why you had a conversation with someone. These people are in a cult

I read Gupta's article. He comes off weasely as fuck. Respect -50
He knows who writes his checks.

That's a bad faith argument, and a generally cynical way of looking at a situation, but it's absolutely true in THIS situation. The man went on the podcast of someone being attacked with with a smear, admitted those things were wrong to say, and then goes right back "home" only to ignore those same things being said again, and "agree" with them.

He knows who writes his checks. He has no integrity. Respect -50 indeed.

FYI you're in a cult, just a different one

Joe has become jokingly partisan in the last 2 years, it's become insufferably painful and embarassing to listen to. his younger self would ridicule the joe of today. . he's regressed back to his pea-brain conspiracy like thinking. Listening to him talk about paternity leave it was just sad

Joe compensating for moving to Texas to make more money

Tim is painful to listen to. I don't know how anyone can stand having him scream at them what to think. There's too much of that kind of thing out there already. Read for yourself and come to your own conclusions instead of having an insecure bald guy tell you what to think.

And yeah, the clips of Joe lately are cringe as hell. He's becoming a grifter.

I don't like how everyone tried to promote the Gupta episode as "ROGAN OWNS LIB CNN!" It wasn't like that at all. It was not Joe trying to own anyone it was a cordial conversation and Joe was not the least bit rude to him or trying to own him.

Everyone is using Joe Rogan on both sides as a means to sell their point. One side tries to use him as a bad guy to scare people away from a specific agenda, and the other side uses him as a hero to promote their agenda. It's really stupid, and Joe wouldn't want any part of any of it.

I don't agree with all of Joe's opinions on the COVID stuff, but in the Gupta episode he made good points to back up his stances. And he's willing to play devil's advocate and acknowledge why the people who disagree with him want things a certain way. For example, he's been against vaccinating kids because he argues it's not worth the risk when they are not at any real threat of COVID, but when Bridget Phetasy was on earlier this week and she says she just doesn't understand why people are pushing for kids to be vaccinated, Joe said it's because they think the kids will get it and spread it to teachers or parents. He didn't just go "I know, right?! It's so dumb!111!11"

That’s what I hate most about any conversations around Joe and rarely engage. People who don’t actually listen to him tend to just view him in a vacuum and ascribe whatever he says to some political angle decide he’s either a hero or a villain. Doesn’t help that as you said, you have both sides basically using him to push whatever the latest fight of the week is. He’s not a politician or a pundit and doesn’t claim to be an expert on anything. He’s an open minded person and has interesting conversations with a wide range of people, that’s why I like him.
