Watch their conference from last year. Plenty of devs and suits talking before, during and after their games. At the very least set aside 10 minutes of PR talk.
That leaves only half an hour for games. Half of which will be indies and third party games like Deathloop, Kena, Ghostwire Tokyo, CoD, and some other trash no one here wants to see at that conference.
Last year, they showed Miles and Demon Souls. The rest were all third party games like FF16, Deathloop, CoD, Harry Potter, Oddworld, and Five Nights at Freddys. Yes, last year Sony wasted precious minutes on Oddworld, DMC remaster, and Five Guys at Freddys.
The conference is way too short for their first conference in a year. Shouldve been an hour minimum. Best case scenario, we get Horizon, GoW, GT7 and the MGS remake along with Deathloop, Kena, Ghostwire Tokyo and Forspoken.

There is an (aprox) 40 minutes main show. But after that they will have a post-show where devs will appear to talk about the stuff shown in the show. So counting the post show pretty likely will be over an hour long. CoD got their multiplayer trailer yesterday, so pretty likely won't be there outside the typical sizzle video.

The first gow demo was 11mins.
I expect something similar.
We have already seen a trailer of forspoken, its a 2022 game and a big one too, we should be seeing some gameplay of it soon and this event seems as good as any to do so.
Just because we have already seen a gameplay trailer of forbidden west does not mean we wont see another, afterall its a big open world game with lots of different environments and scenarios to show and it is there closest 1st party to release, sony will want to promote it and build hype for it.

That was at a 75min E3 conference, not at a 40min digital event. Plus, Sony now has the State of Play format for when they want to do a deep dive into the gameplay of a certain title.
I wouldn't expect any gameplay demos at the event on Thursday.

I disagree. I think There will be gameplay videos.
I dont see the point in People telling other people they disagree with there prediction, if your prediction is different to other users, just post your prediction, they are predictions afterall. Arguing about predictions seems pointless.

Last year Miles Morales story+gameplay was around 7 min. and that was the longest showing there (the showcase was around 40 min long). Demon's also had a good showing for around 4 min. I think that's about what we can expect from their biggest games for this upcoming event, and I think that's plenty of time (4-7 min) for a great demo. COD took 5 min...that kind of shit is simply inevitable, I just hope they cut the exposition by devs talking about their games, leave that stuff for an aftershow.

There were three 5 minute demos at the 40 minute September show last year. CoD Cold War, Miles and Demon Souls. I agree 11 minute trailers are probably not gonna happen and thats probably why Horizon's 14 minute trailer got its own state of play, but they have shown they do shorter gameplay demos at their conferences. Miles, Demons Souls, and Ratchet are good examples. Ratchet's first reveal was a 2.5 minute demo.
GoW is definitely getting revealed with a demo. Wouldnt make sense for them to do another Horizon demo, but GT7 should get something. Then the MGS remake gameplay demo from BP where they will probably show the intro where you first come out of the elevator on Shadow Moses.

I don't believe that pointing out to someone else why it would be weird to have a 10min gameplay demo in a 40min showcase is a pointless thing to do.
Looking at the Future of Gaming event as a reference, it makes sense to expect mostly 2-3min trailers with in-engine cutscenes/cinematic in-game footage out of this event.
Last year's PS Showcase was a different beast, as it was mostly a repeat of the Future of Gaming show with just a handful of announcements, so it's logical why they decided go the deep dive route with some of the launch titles.
This time we're going to have a show packed with new game announcements, so I doubt there's place for uninterrupted gameplay of pretty much any title.

This is their big showcase, so I assume heavy hitters and surprises to be there. After this there probably won't be much of a big show for them until next year. There will be future State of Play episodes along the way to push titles meanwhile.

Sony just released a FC6 video on their page. Hopefully this means it wont be at the show.
With CoD and FC6 getting their own videos before the conference, lets hope Deathloop and Kena are not there either since they were shown in July and August at their own events.
This leaves GTA5 as the only major third party trash we could expect taking up precious minutes in this conference. BF6 has a marketing deal with MS, and there isnt much else coming out this year.

Yeah Im expecting the worst.
The PS5 reveal show was pretty good. But the one after that had nothing apart from Final Fantasy 16, the rest were repeats. And the shows after have been pretty awful as far as new announcements go. Yes gameplay was cool to for Ratchet, Returnal, Horizon but I want more.
Theres probably gonna be more Deathloop, Kena, Stray, Horizon 2, GT7, God of War, Call of Duty etc. Some indies.
Little time for new exclusives to be shown. There will probably be a new Resident Evil announcement. As much as Id love to see MGS or Silent hill, it wont be enough After a year of no new AAA exclusive announcements

Telling someone why there prediction is wrong isnt really a discussion.
I mean you may be correct, or I may be correct. I think better discourse would be had if people would present there alternative prediction without diminishing other peoples predictions.
I mean saying somones predictions is wrong because of x,y,z is pretty dumb because then the person is just going to reply with "im not wrong because of x,y,z".
Its like arguing over simulation theory or existence of a god. There is literally no end to it, because we dont know.

I hope nothing leaks. I really wanna see the game from Guerrilla second team, there were rumors about new game from London Studios,
rumors about other studios making Uncharted, new Infamous would be great.
would love Motorstorm, Resistance or Warhawk remaster cuz I never got platinum for those games
