GOW has to be shown, there's no way around it.

A remake of something a bomb? I hope they don't show remakes, remasters or director cuts of old games. I want new games, not old games with better visuals.

My poor PS4 Pro has been relegated to being a media player for the last few months but seeing as there is no sign of PS5 being readily available, I think I will start to catch up on some of my PS4 backlog. I'm just not feeling Xbox right now. Game Pass is fantastic but achievements just don't do it for me. Trophies for teh win!

And what am I looking forward to most tonight? God of War like almost everyone else. :p

Man the pressure on Santa Monica must be really high.When they rebooted God of War it was after their worst opus and was a surprise.Now we know what they've achieved and they need to do even better.
I really hope it will at least live up to the reboot anything more is a bonus.

So because I have a Halo avatar that means I don't like PS? Lol. Thats a reach dude. I had both systems since day and enjoy all gaming. Reason why I have a Halo avatar is because its my most anticipated game thats coming out the soonest (if that's even a word)

I grew up on Halo dude as a kid on my original Xbox and grew up on Final Fantasy as my Sony game. When I got a PS2 I was introduced to it with FF X which was an amazing game. I wish FF16 was here, but it won't be :/

The poster looks excited and he/she explained why they selected their avatar. They love Halo. Awesome! The user didn't say or do anything to elicit a silly response like this. If I had a Samus avatar it doesn't mean I couldn't like Sony or Xbox games, and I have a Ratchet avatar it doesn't mean I can only like Sony games.

People, don't do stuff like this.

Edit: Given the above post, maybe you were just joking. If so, my bad. Sometimes just can't tell around here.

My practice is not to watch announcement videos for showcase events until the day of, so I didn't watch the PlayStation Showcase video until now. Anyone else find the showcase's diamond motif suggestive of what's to come?

There are stylized diamond facets. Transparent squares floating upright as they ultimately join into a black background sort of like the old SCE diamond logo. And the triangle, circle, cross and square are blinged-out to look like those 3-row Pavé diamond bangle bracelets sometimes gifted to commemorate milestone anniversaries after many years of bliss, with each row representative of the first three PlayStations. And if that weren't suggestive enough, Sept. 9th is the date of the original PlayStation's launch in NA.

I'm guessing the showcase will be a revival of and recommitment to elements of PlayStation's past spanning the first three generations of PlayStation. Really looking forward to seeing what will manifest today.

We don't even have a firm release date for the game, but you expect gameplay footage? Maybe your expectations are misplaced, bud. Not saying it won't happen, but I'd expect a launch date before gameplay footage. Usually, a game is pretty far along by the time you get a gameplay demo. Meaning the devs have a release date in mind by then. Maybe we get both, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I'm undecited, watching the streaming with potato quality streaming or resist the urge and watching the trailer in 4k a bit later...

What is the best source to watch the stream without seeing pixels bigger than my dog's dick?

Is it just me or does there not seem to be much of any excitement either on the forums or social media?

Seems very subdued given we're only two hours out. Maybe because nothings leaked or been teased?

My laughing-lettuce saleman just told me he's going to buy a PS5 as soon as GT7 is shown. He's a very casual gamer, but I forget how powerful that brand still is, people buy whole consoles just to play stuff like that.

The last of us part II was announced on 2016 with a video.

We have no video, no images, no info of God of war. The game is in early development but Sony lied to you. If the game is even a little close to release then they need to show a 10 minutes trailer with gameplay and I would still have my doubts.
