Looks like the entire showcase was either remakes and remasters and MARVEL. Why are there suddenly so many marvel games and how the heck can insomniac pump out so many games so quickly?

Ragnarok looked great IMO, can't wait for more on Wolverine but because of the overkill of pointless 3rd party bullshit that nobody saw coming, taking 3/4 of the time, including Deathloop and GTAV wtf????????????... it's a C.

Liked the show. Love seeing spider man 2, forsaken, wonderland, gow Ragnarok, gt 7 march release, Kotor remake hell yeah, Wolverine and of course the new trailer of death loop .
I give it a B for a show, really good stuff but didn't blow me away.

Lol at the meltdowns. That’s what happens when you go in with crazy expectations. The big news for me was GT7 release date, so looking forward to that and Horizon in early 2022. I do understand the disappointment though and I do feel bad for some of the folk hoping for something Bloodborne, Silent Hill or MGS related.

Project Eve looks brilliant and looking forward to that, along with Forespoken. Other than GOW, there really wasn’t.t much else for me personally. Still, my one wish was the GT7 release date and I got that, so all good.

Rant out of the way. Project Eve looked fun. Forespoken, the story doesn't sound too hot but the gameplay looks alright. GT7 looks good. Insomniac still the MVP of PlayStation right now, they're crazy over there. Ghostwire looked cool, i'm looking forward to that. Not much else to say.

Yeah, I hate to be this jaded but I am baffled by the number of remasters we saw at the show. Even their new game GoW looks to be reusing assets. Set in the same world a la BoTW2. This is a game thats been in development for 4 years. BoTW 2 is also a 5 year dev cycle and they are reusing the map?

WTF is going on? We settle for a lack of next gen sequels. We settle for cross gen games. and even cross gen games are reusing assets so blatantly?

Sony really put these Japanese games out there. Project Eve is made for those dweebs that cant shut up about girls in tights. Nier fucks should get it up. GhostWire doesnt look bad though. Sony should ask Microsoft for a refund, Deathloop, feels like a bore loop everytime I see it. I dont think I can get excited about third party games. Cause none of them did anything for me. And they all looked technically sound.

Alot of games are missing. Little Devil Inside, Awaken Project, Factions,.. where that Men in Black video game at? Im very happy with the first party games. I hate it when Xbox goes first because then Sony pulls shit back when Xbox doesnt announce anything. Fuck it give me TLoU Factions GCI videos, something.

I was thoroughly unimpressed by what GT7 showed today. It looked a lot worse than the first trailer we saw. Horizon will be huge, of course.

It will be get plenty of updates and improvements and it's clear Polyphony are putting a lot of time into the multiplayer.

Regardless you have three big exclusives coming in the Spring. And Alan Wake .

I gave it a C-. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great .. certainly not what I was hoping for.

few gut reactions:
negatives
- They could have spared us the first 30 minutes or so of bollocks and games we either already know about or I personally just don't care about.
- I had a feeling it was going to below-par when they had like more than 5 minutes of that fucking random Korean hack n slash game.
- Also had a feeling it was going to below-par once they had "cinematic trailers" and title splash reveals only included (to pad it out).
- God of War Ragnarok looks great (environments look brilliant considering it's cross-gen) but it's just "remaster" of God of War PS4 with an older kiddo sidekick and therefore not mind blowing.
- Spiderman 2 looks identical to Spider Miles Morales. Coming in 2023 but it looks almost the fucking same. How are they actually using the power of the PS4?!
- No bombs dropped whatsoever. No MGS, no Silent Hill, no revived franchises (Ok KOTOR but no gameplay so why bother?), really nothing.
- Gran Theft Auto lol what exactly have they changed...? Is it just GTA5 on high PC settings?
- Bit annoyed that I fucking woke up at 5:00am for this.
- edited: actually I'm putting GT7 into the negatives. Based on a few comments I re-watched some GTSport footage and yeah it does look the fucking same. Could sort of say it looks like what everyone wished GTSport would've been from the start.

- Gran Turismo 7 looks great, environments seem to be vastly improved from last time (hopefully no/less pop-in)
- Forspoken looks good although not keen on the main character's voice (and her facial animations seem to be shit compared to other NPCs but they can fix it), and is that Hugh Laurie as the voice inside the bracelet thing?
- Wasn't really interested in Ghostwire Tokyo but from this latest trailer/gameplay sizzle I'm actually piqued now

Other thoughts
- it kinda makes sense really. As others have pointed out in the past, PS5s are selling like hotcakes right now. There's literally no need for them to show any breast whatsoever. Not even a bit of cleavage. I hope/guess next year when supply is sorted out and Playstation actually has to persuade people to buy a PS5 off the shelves (because stay-at-home demand ends) and scalpers are not buying up the rest, we will start seeing some truly next-gen stuff. Problem is then we're getting into Xbox territory of "maybe next year".
