i actually think nintendo is polling with this hiding the pricing if people actually give a fuck about renting retro games from them.
i guess some tools do?

I never bought the Nintendo Online special controllers since I used the 8bitdo DIY controller boards, which also work on my Shield TV. For anyone who bought the NES and SNES controllers from Nintendo: Do they use standard Bluetooth, or is it proprietary and only connects to the Switch system. I could use a Bluetooth N64 controller if it will connect to my Shield.

Standard Bluetooth. I’ve used the Switch NES controller with PC-based NES emulators.

Kinda where I'm at too. They obviously have the emulators in place. They have a solid collection of games. Just let me buy the ones I want and I'll be happy. Fuck all these extra subscriptions and addons and shit.

Also, give me folders on the Switch
and more avatar options, and the ability to live stream directly to youtube like ps4 can.

There is such a large cash potential for Sega or a Sega Channel across all platforms, so many systems and games, including arcade to pull from. But once again why the 3 button controller. I get the nostalgia, butt he 6 button Saturn controller would have worked just as well too, or the Genesis 6 button. but anyhow a nice start for the genesis games. Curious about the upgraded cost.

A shitty amount of N64 games with no upgrades and some bullshit sega games for extra cost?

N64 controller for $50???

You know what nintendo, I will just play these games on my PC, thanks tho. Actually, I will also play the switch games on my PC and cancel my NSO sub which is only active because I'm lazy.

Thanks but no thanks at the N64 controller. You have to be that stupid to not know their analog not only sucks but tires easly. They are really poor shit quality.

Now about the games...well, can't say I'm surprised. Hope they get some kinda of upgrade, N64 games are cool stuff for me.
All those joysticks need is to be lubed and they won't wear out as fast. If these new N64 controllers analog sticks can be used on original N64 controllers then they will be huge sellers for the Analog stick alone.

the controller did not age well - 8bitdo does it better btw. Im more excited about the software, n64 emulators still suck on pc, show me 1 that can run all those games drama free without dumb glitches.. not to mention online multiplayer holy shit.

Aside from stealing them or paying eBay prices how are people supposed to play N64 games?

Nintendo playing their fans for the fool for 25 years now.

Why the heck would I play N64 games with an N64 controller on a console with better controls? (Switch)

Also $50.

Also if you have an Xbox you already have 70% of the games worth it on the system, also with a better controller too.

I mean at best the new N64 controller will maybe actually be analog this time and maybe not wear out and break as easily, but it's still a questionable move.

I dont know whats more sad. That Nintendo is going to charge extra for more ROM releases or that a bunch of suckers will pay it.

Definitely the suckers. We know Nintendo are greedy for money. If everyone would unsubscribe to Nintendo's shitty subscription service they'd have to re-access and offer something different.

Re-releasing that controller is not playing their fans for fools. People want that nostalgic return, and it's great they have the option. I agree - I won't be using it, we've moved onto so much better controllers since then, but the option is not a bad thing.

The way they're charging for these old games however, yes that shit is playing their fans for fools.

It's cool that Nintendo is doing it at all but my god, you'd think they could offer something cutting edge or head turning.

Other people have mentioned it but it's true, successful Nintendo is the worst Nintendo.

Nah, any other controller that has "analog" controls is better, except maybe the Dreamcast controller, that one was something else too. I'd say that maybe the GameCube's controller is a close third in the turd first party controllers category.

Cant wait for Nintendo to slow drip feed N64 with months like:
Quest 64, War Gods, and Mace the Dark Age.
Their SNES offerings showed they have zero shame.

Nintendo keeps hosing their fans and they dont bat an eye - and now you get to pay extra for it.

10 out of the 15 Genesis games are already in the “Sega Genesis Classics” collection for Switch. I got it on sale for 12 bucks or something, no need to pay a subscription.

TF they doing over there?

play them on your wii / wii u ?
n64 games are dirt cheap
So paying to play them on an old console is good, but paying to play them on the new one is bad?

If you don't have a Wii U then I guess buying a used one on eBay for $150 - $200 and then buying the 21 games available on the Wii U Virtual console would be one way. It's definitely cheaper and easier than just paying for access to games on an online service. 🙄

Back door price increase. It's inevitable when the cost of literally of every online subscription service goes up over time.

M.U.S.H.A is cool though. Who is with me? Also hoping we get the complete RARE N64 catalogue up excluding Goldeneye.

Errr, why can't they sell the N64 games on Switch store if they could do that on Wii U Virtual console?

and you defend that shit? I see you talking shit again about any other company shady practice. I mean this isn't even shady or "anti-consumer" bullshit, this is downright pathetic and laughable.
Defend what? What's anti consumer about a game streaming service? What are you even talking about?
