None honestly.

CoD is CoD, grew tired of it years ago

always disliked BF

Halo I used to enjoy but infinite just looks boring to me and dated beyond belief. This series needs a reboot badly

Of the 3, definitely Battlefield. In reality though, most likely none. COD has always been shitty imho compared to UT, Quake or Battlefield and Heylo was never my thing.

Battlefield. The Halo beta was BORING (I say this as someone who has halo 2 in his top 3 all time MP games). COD will be same old trash. I really hope the BF beta feels good and goes back to the old days (not 1 and 5).

Talk about slim pickins... Battlefield because in my outmodded mind they do more compelling large scale battles.

But really, i don't want to play any contemporary multiplayer game, not interested in the cheatbots and whatever..

i played battlefield 1 for a few months a few years back, and every time, every time, i pretty much left crouch i got instantly headshot. I mean okay they can memorise where heads pop up i understand that, but seriously, zero misses, instant kills, anywhere on the map, could make no progress... It became a race between people with cheat engines to see who could target the other first.

Maybe i got newb in my old age but i doubt i got That noob. And i was pretty damn good at UT and CS, so my epeen is insulated.

Edit: considering Halo would presumably also have some form of narrative to engage with outside of multiplayer I'd be most likely to enjoy that.

Play the beta this weekend. I found it to be amazing by the end of the last weekend.

No reason to jump to conclusions about Halo, especially as it will be free to play.

It doesnt look bad, just looks basically what I played a long time ago with Halo 3 and minor improvements of that formula. Just doesn't really excite me as much anymore

Halo seems the most fun. I'll try it on PC for sure.

I prefer close combat with longer ttk. CoD is a respawn-fest and BF is a pixel hunt.

It’s had a lot of changes that you wouldn’t realize from videos. Unless you no longer like arena shooters

It's a pity there's only one choice allowed. I voted Halo Infinite.

We need an AAA Xbox title in the new gen and I'm genuinely stoked to play Halo again. The same for Battlefield.
These two games should be more than enough for my FPS needs.

Fuck Vanguard in the ass with a rusty pipe

Please tell us how you really feel about CoD :messenger_beaming:

I think we had this thread before but my answer hasn't changed, especially after Infinite Flight #2.

Halo Infinite & BF2042. Both very different FPS and I know can give me fun gameplay; I really didn't like CoD MW.

Even thought the Halo Infinite multiplayer is looking to be one of the weakest entries in the series for me, it is still Halo, and now I will be able to play with bots. So Halo for me.

Halo is the only one of those I will ever play and likely not very much until campaign co-op is out.

Halo by far. COD is gonna be awful. BF could be good but I’m not that interested right now. 343 seems to have finally made a good videogame.
Hot take: Halo 4 was a good videogame if played casually. Had excellent bigger team modes. Cannot WAIT for the flight this weekend to see what they've brought to the table with BTB. I play 8v8 exclusively in Master Chief PC and I'm definitely curious to see where this new flavor of Halo fits in in comparison to the different sandbox 'flavors' and 'feels' we have so far. Should be mighty interesting considering they've already shown that the 4v4 can feel substantially different even with just a few tweaks and new weapons.

Edit: also, the fact that they TRIED hard to appease the community near the end with a Pit remake was noteworthy. But really, one of my favorite additions was Vertigo. If anyone has ever played a pulse pounding game of Rumble or stayed the king in Regicide for the entire game controlling the top of the map, it's as good/better than any of the best tower of power moments from H2/H3

I want BF2042 to be good - but after an entire console generation of garbage from the series - DICE still has alot to prove.
Ive already played tons of Halo Infinite and I know its good.
I havent played a COD since MW2 on the 360. The series is complete junk.

Ill go with Halo - but for a FPS multiplayer fan having a new Halo and Battlefield together is as good as it gets.

Ugh this is a question I've been asking myself for weeks. I absolutely love Halo, but I also adore Battlefield multiplayer (have since BF1942 and Desert Combat mods). 2042 is looking incredible... but so is Halo.

I think I'm just going to have to split my time between both. There's just no other way.

0 interest in CoD Vanguard though. Wake me when the next Modern Warfare hits.

The Halo test flight was the best Halo multiplayer in years.

I’ll play that mainly for the campaign and dabble in multiplayer,

I’ll probably put the most time into BF2042 multiplayer, so long as they don’t screw it up like they did BF5.
