The first time I heard this song was while playing Halo 2 multiplayer on Xbox live in 2005. Some kid about my age was singing it during a custom game of Tower of Power on Ascension. Didn’t listen to it for the longest time, maybe 10+ years after but that memory always stuck with me. Never knew it was Greenday either. I had a math teacher who I wasn’t too fond of and she loved Greenday so I always kinda disregarded them all those years, but this is a good song
