You can place your gold in the stash to prevent losing it upon death. I do this periodically, especially when it gets high.

As for gambling, I do that when I have at least $200,000, which isn't hard if you have +gold in your gear and charms. Any time there's excessive cash in the stash, I gamble to about $50,000 remaining. Could probably go further.

take your money and put it in a shared tab..
this way you won't loose it if you die
We are talking about in the stash chest, correct? Because it doesn't seem to work for me like that. I can completely empty out my gold putting it in that chest and I can still go and spend and I assume lose it at will. I'm pretty sure I was losing more money than what I had on hand.

put the money on a different tab (shared) not the first one..
you can't pay vendors with that directly

and yes to access it you click on that chest thingy

Oh wow thank you. That explains it.
He is right. But they might end up changing this since you are supposed to lose gold from your stash upon death. For now though, it works.

I don't think you lose any gold from your personal stash while playing singleplayer.

Refresh my memory about gold in this one. Is it more useful than D3? I feel like all the good shit came from drops in D3 and they passed out gold like candy. It seems much more scarce in D2.

Gold is really easy to get, but gambling for items is very expensive ($50k for one ring attempt), and I hear so is repairing gear in higher difficulties.

Wait you can put money in your stash as well?

If need be, you can also use the horadric cube to store items if you run out of stash space. You could even keep it on your character for extra inventory space while playing.

I always have the cube with me. Usually throw in any runes/rings/amulets or an armour i want to stash later. But to be honest inventory space isnt a problem as long as you have the portals book. I mean i just teleport back to the camp, sort my stuff and go back in.

Do charms in the cube still have an effect? Or do they have to be outside of the cube?

Same on the PC. I've had to force myself to stop before sessions become too long, because college is too important. Getting really high grades and can't mess that up over a video game. lol

My Zealot Paladin is a beast compared to the wuss of a Necromancer. Swinging at hordes of mobs at the same time in a circular motion like I'm on speed and cocaine. Tore right through Normal.
I'm on PS4, my first char was a zeal paladin who I've gotten to 87 only playing a duo with a friend, so we beat all of hell without any rush or whatever and found/made all our own gear. It slows down massively starting in nm and especially into hell unless you have very good equipment, but even with good equipment your kill speed on packs is so much slower than pretty much any of the other popular builds. Zeal really shines single target on uniques/bosses with high health but I suspect you will feel much worse about it as you get into the higher difficulties unless someone is feeding you some really good eq.

Yeah, I've noticed that the mobs take a while to drop. The merc could knock them down a lot faster, lol. I never had a problem with getting low on health, but damn was there a lot of trips to repair the sword. For a long time I couldn't find anything better than Griswold's sword, and it was low on durability.

But the Paladin was never that kind of character, so I think it's cool from a lore perspective. It acts exactly as you would expect from a Blizzard game Paladin.

I decided to try the Barbarian to see how that plays. Never gave that character much of a chance in the original. It must be doing something right if it's been in every Diablo since. The idea of dual-wielding two-handed weapons sounds pretty badass.

Just steamrolled Diablo on Nightmare, can't believe how easy he was after all the trouble he gave me on Normal though there are 3 major differences in my current build vs then:

1. Grizzly instead of wolves that insta-died to his fire Nova

2. Act 2 Merc with freeze aura

3. My unique flail that slows down enemies by 50% when struck

My belt was all loaded up with full rejuvenation potions, wasted a couple for mana, could have used regular potions lol. On to Act V!

Glad they patched the crashing issues. Seemed to always happen when I was switching zones or fighting a boss. Haven’t had one since the patch dropped.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
On Act V on Normal. I've been playing blind until this point, but nearing the end of the act I've decided to cave in and start looking at builds and runewords.

I made some shield that adds like 50% to all resistances, which is crazy compared to my other gear. I've also discovered that my custom-noob build for the paladin is something kinda like a shitty Zealot. Not bad I guess but yeah, once i'm on Nightmare I'll need to respec.

Make sure you make a edge runeword in a bow before getting serious about gambling. It’s cheap and gives you 15% off all vendor prices. I have a gheed which knocks off another 14% but that’s not as easy to get

I gamble when I hit 7.5 mil to empty all my shared stashes. Sounds like a lot of gold but I can get a few million out of one mf session. Usually get 35-70k per each meph kill selling his drops.

I gamble on rings and amulets. circlets and coronets are great too but I’m waiting to increase my character level so I get better ilvl rolls

I farmed for Gheed’s a lot. It took a long time to get one but as soon as I get one I get a few more in succession. This game sometimes fucks with me.

It won’t let you pick up a second right? If you put yours in your shared stash can you grab another?

I’ve only found one.
It can drop but you can’t pick it unless you drop your first one. I don‘t think so.

One of the perks of Plugy in the old D2 is that you can have multiple of these unique charms like anni and torch.

I'm still lookin for a 3 socket phase blade. Or a grey/white phase blade with no sockets so I can try to roll 3 sockets on it.

Appreciate anything.

doing alot of magic find atm.

IF there are any barbs out there that play on PlayStation eu servers, not sure if that matters, in case they are global.

I have an immortal kings maul, his headpiece, his boots and gloves, they are yours for free, as long as you plan to use them and not trade them away

Give me a message if you are intrested.

Need a break from my mf sorc, been running cows, at, meph and Andy and got shit besides herald of zakarum in countless runs

So I want to start a new char that I can just play with controller and chill. What's a good char with controller?

My next class is going to paladin that eventually specs into smite for running ubers

honestly every class I’ve played is great with the controller

I’d pick what you find fun

if you go paladin you’d be able to mf end game with your sorc and do ubers/Diablo clone with paladin

if you just want to have fun assassin and necro are really fun imo

Who has been playing on Switch? Is the darkness really that toned down in that version? The YouTube videos I've seen make it look SUPER bright and washed out. I'm about to triple dip on this for portable play but I don't know if I can stomach the visual downgrade after playing an ungodly amount of hours on Series X.

I would assume everything. The controller has been my preferred way to play. Makes the game feel so much more fast paced.

Roll a Drood or Pally IMO
Never played an assassin, I was worried about trap placement with controller but she looks like a fun character

Yeah pally is Uber, played one a lot in original

Yep, I play with one and sometimes wish it had a roll ala Dark Souls, I think it would play awesome with Souls controls lol. Oh well, makes me excited for D4 since it has a dodge.

Sorry to double post but wanted to bump this. A question for anyone playing on PC and Xbox, do you unlock achievements on Xbox when you do something on PC and then log in on Xbox? What I am asking, is if your PC progress goes toward Xbox achievos.

At least in the beginning, the Barbarian is an absolute powerhouse. Granted I'm using badass items from the shared stash, but this guy is steamrolling mobs before they even get a chance to attack, lol. Don't have to skitter around anything like with the Necro and Paladin. Just shred it all down. Weapon Mastery + Double Swing is doing the business. Both are in line with the build I'm going to make (no suggestions please, makes it too easy to go with an established build).

He looks awesome too, at least when not wearing a cap. Got rid of that pretty fast, lol. Zoomed the screen in to probably 1024x768 or 800x600 which looks great. Don't need to see that far with a melee character.... Great fun so far.

I was doing a Duriel run, and I got very lucky. He dropped 5 Scrolls of Town Portal. :messenger_astonished:
Nothing more.
That would definitely piss me off a little... especially when you consider how much of a pain he can be. But kind of funny at the same time. Makes you wonder if they don't throw stuff in there on purpose just to be annoying. lol
