Lol i majored in anthropology because i love the subject...i just like when its done right...the last 5 movies have been Roger Corman level
Hehe, I hear you. I just don't see what other concept could bring dinosaurs to the big screen. I'd love a new walking with dinosaurs. Wasn't apple working on something like that?

Or a big budget dino riders reboot. That would be awesome.

Like i mentioned...Xenozoic tales...was very well written and illustrated...was a bunch of mini stories brought together in a overarching plot easily tied together into a few movies....was never quite finished but shultz could finally do that....so youd have dinosaurs, you would have a hot betty page like hannah dundee..what more do you need

Don't get me wrong. I'd love it. I'm just not seeing it as a concept any big studio would put money behind. I heard a while back nobody does dinosaur movies because hollywood thinkg of universal as owning dinosaurs. A shame really.

Anyways. I enjoy the films, fallen kingdom and jp3 was pretty shit, but there's been enough entertainment in all of them for me.

off-screen cam recording of the 5-minute preview, it's 1080p HD.

Grab it, while it's hot.

"...and Chris Pratt teased what fans can look forward to in Jurassic World: Dominion. He said the film is:"
“the Avengers: Infinity War of the Jurassic world” in the way “all the characters are converging into one massive, epic, global story that is everything you could hope for and more.”

A good ole fashioned time travel flick

F9 was literally the absolute worst movie I've seen in a long fucking time. The fiancé and I went and seen it in the theatre and could not stop laughing at how awful it truly was.

Pretty crazy that the teaser designed to entice just kind of further bored me on the thing. That Transformer T-Rex looks dope though.

Time travel could be one. Kinds like that TV series Teranova, just not shit.

In terms of the Apple and BBC production, which I've heard is called Prehistoric Planet, as far as I'm aware it's still in the works. Covid would have delayed production, but a series like this would take absolutely years to make. As this is Apple, they're not going to cheap out on the effects. I expect this to look as real as possible, plus be as scientifically accurate as possible as well. Fingers crossed we'll hear more soon

Well, I think it's a co production with bbc and the studio behind walking with dinosaurs, unless I'm completely mistaken. The movie looked damn good, even though it's been some years. Shame about the US studio mandate to add a dumb story and a dreadful dub. The cretaceous cut with no voices is actually pretty good.

Also, shame aboit Terra Nova. Such squandered potential. Heard Spielberg said no to feathers in JW due to their reception in Terra Nova. Like that was the problem with that show, lol.

"In footage from the set of the original Jurassic Park movie, Jurassic Park director Stephen Spielberg explains a mosquito to a young cast member. The cast remembers the "energy on set," as Laura Dern put it. Jeff Goldblum remembers it. Chris Pratt remembers watching it. "I cried the first time I saw dinosaurs," Bryce Dallas Howard says.

"Jurassic World: Dominion is a celebration of the franchise. It concludes a story that Stephen Spielberg started in 1993," director Colin Trevorrow says.

"It is everything we could've ever hoped for and more," Laura Dern says. The footage shows the original cast, referred to as "legacy characters," interacting with the "World characters," in many instances."

The movie will ask the question, "If dinosaurs lived amongst us, would you be safe?" Trevorrow explains. "And the answer is no." A mosasaur emerges form the ocean to eat an entire helicopter. A raptor runs across a building top. A T-Rex is in a city. Stunts. Falling. Vehicles flipping. Sam Neill and the entire cast face to face with a T-Rex in the woods. There is a lot of footage of Neill, Goldblum, Dern, Pratt, Howard, and more all together. The dinosaurs are brilliantly brought to life, seemingly combining modern visual effects with practical opportunities to have a created T-Rex on the set and in camera. It was colorful, thrilling showing of the film."

"This is the movie that I've been waiting to make from the beginning," Colin Trevorrow told reporters during a press conference for Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous in 2020. "It's the one that we have spent the past two movies building to. It really was part of a larger story and part of the design. And I think people may be underestimating the size and importance of Laura Dern and Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum's characters in this movie. It is very much an ensemble, and that [includes] the ability to take these beloved characters from almost 30 years now, and understand how they interact with each other in the context of a world that we've really never seen before, and have not been able to witness until now. It's very exciting for me. I'm having the time of my life."

i don't think you could pay me to watch it. the last one was a load of shite. i remember quite enjoying the first one. hopefully once this movie comes out they put the whole Jurassic movie series to rest. nothing special about them (well the originals were good). they are dumbed down generic action movies only with dinos. as much as i like chris pratt there's just no way i'm watching this new movie. suppose he's made a shit load of $ but it sucks to see him do these kind of crappy movies.

"Anyone lucky enough to see F9 in Imax earlier this year saw the first footage from next year’s Jurassic World: Dominion. The film opens 65 million years ago at the moment where a certain mosquito gets caught in amber, setting up everything that comes next. What came next was five movies, and counting, and this sixth one brings them all together. At CinemaCon 2021, Universal Pictures ended its jam-packed panel with brand new footage from the upcoming film, which opens June 10, 2022. And though that IMAX preview had a quick glimpse of what’s happening in the world of Jurassic post-Fallen Kingdom, this footage went even deeper.

Now, here’s where I offer a bit of a disclaimer. The footage ran probably 90 seconds and it would be damn near impossible to tell you everything that flashed past my eyes. I’ll give you the highlights as best I can but, suffice to say, it was cut quickly and I missed a lot. My apologies. "

The first image was of a pair of brachiosaurus being led by a bunch of vehicles in what looked like a snow-covered quarry. Later, still in that snowy setting, Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) is riding a motorcycle trying to chase down some dinosaurs. There are scenes of Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) trapped in a cage reminiscent of the one from the beginning of the first film. Water is pouring in. There was also a shot of her in a very sunny, well-lit lab. The mosasaurus from Jurassic World jumps out of the water to eat something. A dilophosaurus screams and unleashes his mane. The T-Rex is seen rampaging, of course. We see someone holding a flare. A triceratops smashing against a Jeep. Shots of Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), and then shots of all of the stars from both series looking up at something, reminiscent of the lighting from the T-Rex attack in the first film.

Most interestingly, though, were some scenes in what looked like a European city. We see Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) jumping between buildings while she’s being chased by what looked like a velociraptor. A scene of Claire and Owen Grady jumping down into some ancient tomb. And then a shot of Grady, again on a motorcycle, zipping through some cobblestone streets, chasing what, again, was probably a raptor. Basically, it looked like action scenes from Indiana Jones, Jason Bourne, and James Bond, but with dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs that have been confirmed to appear in Jurassic World Dominion include:
  • Allosaurus
  • Ankylosaurus
  • Atrociraptor
  • Brachiosaurus
  • Compsognathus
  • Dilophosaurus
  • Dreadnoughtus
  • Gallimimus
  • Gigantosaurus
  • Iguanodon
  • Lystrosaurus
  • Moros
  • Mosasaurus
  • Nasutoceratops
  • Oviraptor
  • Quetzalcoatlus
  • Tyrannosaurus Rex
  • Triceratops
  • Velociraptor

Jumping into a tomb?! What?

Hopefully universal will hurry up and release a fucking trailer.

Probably now that ComicCon is a wrap, maybe they might release sth.

I agree with what's said in that video towards the end. Universal have now released two videos showing footage of the movie, but only a select few people have been able to see them.

I shouldn't be hyped for this movie after the disaster that was Fallen Kingdom, but I fucking love Dinosaurs and anything Dinosaur related is so rare in films,TV and video games.

Also great to hear a return of the dilophosaurus. Easily my favourite dinosaur from from the JP franchise.

T-Rex gonna be beaten by Giganotosaurus. Because the Giga is a badass motherfucker.

After the original, who gives a fuck
Yeah I’ve never even seen this as more than a one off film. The premise is nowhere near broad or even interesting enough to sustain a franchise. I’ve watched parts of all the others, reminds me of Jaws in terms of the quality drop.

I've enjoyed them all tbf, pure popcorn and whilst the original is still a cinematic masterpiece and one of those genre defining moments in cinema and entertainment, the sequels have all been entertaining enough and I've certainly enjoyed the Jurassic World series, just wish they'd release the trailer or the opening sequence

People keep saying this, like other multi movie franchises are any better.

Marvel? Oh no, world is ending, again. Whatever. Fast and furious? Oh no, have to drive faat, again! Why?

Most shit out there has nor right to exist by your standard that you arbitrarily apply only to Jurassic Park.

I like dinosaurs. Far more than cars and super heroes. And by box office numbers it's pretty clear I'm not alone.

For how poor the story in Fallen Kingdom was, it was still more entertaining than the past ten years of super heroes combined, for me.

Bribg on the dinosaurs. More please. Just... Better designs please. JW really butchered some dinos.

Yeah I mean in terms of sustainable franchises Marvel and even FF are better servicing their fans imo, they also didn’t have the bar of the first Jurassic Park to live up to. Dinosaurs are cool, it’s just they aren’t really doing it in a very cool way yet although it’s getting better.

Dinos wanna teach us about extinction.

This deserves to go into the cringe thread.

The state of the planet is an important topic that everyone, especially governments, need to take more seriously.

However, this video really isn't going to sway people into saving the environment. Could you imagine the CCP watching this and thinking "yeah, Frankie the dinosaur has a point". No. It's ridiculous to think so, and if nations like China, USA and India aren't going to change then it's pointless and we're already fucked.

So Collider reports that the film is completed/done.

The news of the film being completed is not too surprising given Trevorrow's candid nature about the film's production. He revealed in an exclusive interview with Collider back in June that the film was nearly finished, even going so far as to mention that a screening had been held for his friends and individuals around Pinewood Studios. It's not known whether or not this special preview with F9 is a part of the final film in its entirety, with Trevorrow claiming the following: "Right now, quite a bit of it [special IMAX preview] is specific for this. And I actually, just because I'm not done with the movie yet, that's the reason why I say, I can't say definitively which part of it is, or isn't. As of right now, a big chunk of it is in the film and a big chunk of it is actually like a prologue to the film. It's like an overture before you see the film. And I think that's cool."

Wow!?

"The video features footage that will not be included in the film.
This prologue is a version of a special sequence that was shown before Imax screenings of “F9” this past summer, It features visual effects courtesy of Industrial Light & Magic — who have provided effects for every entry of the franchise — with new music from Michael Giacchino, the composer behind the “Jurassic World” films. And while the prologue sets the stage for “Jurassic World: Dominion,” the footage from it isn’t included in the film. (This means it is closer to the 2019 “Jurassic World” short film “Battle at Big Rock” than a traditional trailer.)."
