After 33 weeks as the best selling console in units, Switch loses its #1 spot.

I had a feeling that would happen with the console getting more and more available units out there.
Incredible results for Nintendo though. 33 weeks is not far from 3 years.
You saying weeks instead of months really threw me off.

I really wish we knew how many copies of games were sold from the 10-20 list. Like smash and mario kart has been on this chart for ages now.

Good results for PlayStation, hope they keep this momentum and stay hungry.... I'd like to see higher sales still in the US.

Nintendo doing very well to keep sales so consistent for so long. Masterful use of their 1st party exclusives to keep people interested and buying..... you'll notice they are firmly concentrated on adding value and features to Switch along with entries in their most famous and long running franchises..... no distractions like PC, no real mobile talk.

Jim Ryan needs to go to school and the teacher is Nintendo.

The PC thing really gets you eh? If it were day and date I'd understand but 2-3 years later? I don't get it.

No matter your allegiance, you need to accept that the PS5 is killing it right now.

And all this during these calm months.
Imagine once Horizon, GT7 and God of War are released, plus Final Fantasy XVI, etc in 2022.

2023 hits with no cross-gen games like Spider-Man 2...that's when this gen truly starts for me though.
Ratchet was already a good appetizer for what this gen is about to bring us.

Meanwhile, i have yet to see a PS5 console that's not the one i managed to buy, almost 1 year after release. It's truly insane.

Yup, and Switch is too. And I'm sure plenty of Xboxes are selling too. All 3 companies are getting fat.

We all know Switch is gonna jump back up next month cause of the OLED launch.

Was kinda obvious Switch's September sales would dip the month before the new model shipped.

Deathloop being highest outside of the yearly evergreen sports franchises seems pretty decent

Tales of Arise and Diablo II outsold Deathloop.

Now let PlayStation have its glory until March 2026, the launch date of the switch 2 with botw2.
They are going to have to increase production. Switch won’t do last years numbers, but will have switch OLED and some heavy hitters this winter to keep it going. Ps5 is going to have to do a better than ps4 holiday season to top switch.
