Cloudflare sinks >7% on the day it announces an AWS S3 competitor that does away with egress costs (you can unload your data for free).

I could save my full time employer $5 million/yr if I convinced them to move to Cloudflare for CDN, currently holding that discussion. All of the startups I advice are already on Cloudflare though.

Often, I feel that Wall Street whales really don’t grasp tech at all, or their advisors are too slow to react; probably some “has been” engineer that couldn’t cut it as a maker and switched to hedge fund advisor. Or maybe the algos fucked up, I don’t know. It just seems irrational to me that a company that is building the next AWS is so undervalued.

Anyway, I increased my NET position.

Indeed, as above I have a huge amount of my net worth in Cloudflare now -- I dont think wallstreet analysts in particular are grasping what Cloudflare is doing right under their noses.

Perhaps a bit hyper to say but, the last time I saw this kind of moat forming, it was when Amazon unleashed AWS in the first place. Cloudflare is going up against the big boys for sure but the product is utterly brilliant, and best of all, juts one of many brilliant offerings.

It's really hard to accurately estimate their TAM given how many products they are releasing at a speedy rate. Just incredible. If this company isn't twice it's current size within the next year or two I will be truly shocked.

Using the fear to buy a ton more Cloudflare this morning. I now own almost 25,000 shares, getting a little bit excited.

Nvidia looking juicy again too if the selloff continues.

Not advice etc.
Yeah bought some Nvidia, Microsoft and Apple yesterday.

I bought Cloudflare back when it was below $113. I just couldn’t believe the headlines about “analysts are confused about Cloudflare new products”.
After seeing the rebound, it is clear that the smart money was just baiting the retail into selling. The news are so fucking evil, always a tool for the wealthy. Now Cloudflare is at $123.

Yeah, I agree with the comparisons to early AWS. Also, my thoughts have changed. I believe that analysts understand what Cloudflare is, it is just that whales need to pace their purchase, and need to scare retail out of this play before the next pump.

BIG spike in call volume over the ask on Tesla, price followed quickly, guessing someone knows something about the upcoming shareholder meeting. Possible they are going to split the stock again methinks.

Overall green day as the us gov has agreed something to raise the debt ceiling until dec, panic that likely caused the selloff last week.

I regret selling TSLA years ago. Never would have thunk it would have taken off like their rockets.

Yeah, I saw that spike too, interesting. They are definitely smashing this next quarter. I have been hearing good things about their numbers.

I bought many shares years ago and never sold. I still buy some every now and then. I believe they still have a lot of room for growth tbh. Their robots will be a huge things in the next five year.

not to keep bleating on but fuck - Cloudflare is on fire right now. In the past few days, it's moved up 80% of my initial cost basis, and since I am so heavily weighted in it, means my overall portfolio grew by almost 75% in a 7 day period. Madness.

I am still bullish because of the whole Ethereum gateway and R2 stuff but surely this run will slow soon. between this and my Tesla investment in 2018, . to say this past couple year since cloudflare went up too has been life changing would be an understatement.

to think back, I read charlie munger's almanack book and his quote stuck with me - 'you only need a few good ideas, ptience and a long runway' rings so true. What a ride.

I wish I was that heavily weighted on Cloudflare. I believe in them strongly, but I chose to sleep easy and spread my portfolio. Cloudflare is around 10% of my portfolio, but I wish it was more, it could have been so much more. I started buying it when it was $13, fuck. In retrospect, I regret buying so much AMZN and other conservative sheep-behavior positions in the past few years. I could be doing so much better.

Anyway, congratulations dude.

Hope you guys are making money. I've sunk lately. Hit my high in June and then end of Aug and tailed off since. So for me, it's been dead time since June.

The S&P500 has had 0% returns in the past 90 days. It has been a rough couple months unless you went hard on very specific plays.

I made a quick buck by exiting some positions. I've used that and added to my existing portfolio and just letting it ride for a bit. It's going to be a very tough holiday season.

Ya, Sep was trash for me. So was first week of Oct.

Out of nowhere this week has been a big rebound. I think my stocks are +6% this week. But still need another +6% to get back to high.

bought some $BABA for the long haul. Will likely be choppy for a while but, China issues will eventually settle down I'm sure
Dunno. Looks like it's going to still be bumpy. They've been on a steady decline since pandemic while all the other online retailers have been on the upswing. Personally bough a ton of BKCC to weather out the inflation.

I think 'inflation hedge' plays are definitely going to be a way to play the coming years, assuming the fed just keeps printing and praying. I prefer infrastructure dividend stocks for that kind of thing personally - Deere, Caterpillar.. arguably even Waste Management.

I do not trust in BABA or any Chinese stock for that matter. The fundamentals for a good play are there, but you never know what the CCP might have in mind. I already got burned once with HUYA and learned my lesson. Good luck nonetheless.

Had my best week since August, and it was only a 4 day week (Cdn Thanksgiving was Monday). Cant believe I'm up on AMC again. Might dump it next week. Up 15% in only 2 weeks!

TSLA up 7.3% this week, running up into what most people are expecting will be a blowout. Good chance it will sell off after, so if you're looking for an entry then it's your chance.

Tesla will become the world's most valuable company by market cap by 2025. Yes, I am calling my shot. For reference, the current leader is Apple with a $2.5T market cap. Don't trade on my not advice, unless you feel like it.

Dumped AMC. Made 10% in two weeks. Would had been more but didnt realize the US/Can currency ripped me off 2-3% last couple weeks. Second time I made money off it.

lol cloudflare at $175 :)
It is going to hit $200+ and once the institutions adopt their positions the marketing will start for the dumb money to buy more. I am reviewing my projections afterwards. I am not trying to time a sale, but just out of curiosity. I feel so validated.

I wish I could read one of those decks about Cloudflare that are being sent around the institutions to trigger this purchase. These people finally woke up.

On the rec, I did get cloudfare at 124 but only bought 10 shares. Of course I wished I bought more but up 35% so can't beat that.

Something wrong with NET when my folio is up by 50% within a couple of months. I'm feeling a bit antsy at the non organic spike.

The propaganda to push retail to buy Cloudflare has finally started. Before today the last articles written on Cloudflare were the fear inducing reports released on the day of the dip right before the bull run. The whales must have already adopted their positions. We are either at the top for the month or very near it.

I got out way too early, but still made some good money. I guess this is part of modern finance now, invest around the whales.

If any of you know of dirt cheap risky cloud companies like $30 or less, please tell. Maybe I'll buy a 1000 shares.

BlackBlaze is on my list to review. It should go IPO soon and I will invest after the lockup period.

I missed the boat yesterday. My intuition was right for that. Still made off well from it.

So are they using S3 buckets or Azure or is it their own? I doubt that they're using their own. It also looks like they are offering 2 different things. One is storage like Azure and the other is a remote backup solution. Box and Dropbox haven't grown much and all they do is storage, I don't have high hopes for them.

They use their own from what I gathered in the HackerNews thread about their S-1.
I still have to review the company, but a lot of people in that thread seemed to have experience with it, which suggests they are not nobodies.

This is BlackBlaze's S-1

Digital Ocean also went public not so long ago, this is their S-1

Digital Ocean's stock already went up 100% since their IPO price, I missed that one. I am not confident they are worth what they are priced at right now.

Son of a bitch...
I was keeping an eye on PINS...

I think they are begging to be bought out. And someone is going to pay 75+ for them.

MS was rumored to offer 51 billion for them
