OMG I can't wait to play this. Have it pre-loaded on both PC (3080) and XSX.

Runs like shit on my 4790k / 2080ti

FH 4 ran like a dream, FH 3 was a stuttering mess and FH 5 is back to FH 3 level :/ even at high settings its totally unplayable in some races, dunno why. Only game on my system behaving like that

Other than that its probably the best Horizon of the whole bunch

That is pretty old CPU, tho... Launched in 2014, discontinued in 2017.

Are you running the game at 60fps? Higher than 60fps?

yeah its constantly above 60 fps, average 80 / 90 at the extreme preset

There are some crazy fps drops from 90 to 60 and it causes these severe stutters, even by dropping the graphical details to high it doesn't really impact overall fluidity much (while making the game run at 120+ fps)

I mean sure, but it does run everything released recently with about no issues the vast majority of the times. My point was more so that the game runs as badly as FH 3 did back in the days. Didn't have a single problem with 4

I was watching some gpu articles and the 3060 ti is the equivalent of the 2080 ti but for modern games (meaning not to play in 4k)
I saw an hp pc with a 3060ti and an amd ryzen 5 that i want to buy for 1100€

I’m not a big fan of the open world racer, but it looks bloody marvellous, so I’m looking forward to giving it a try on the Series X next week.

been playing for about an hour and game looks great but there is a few times when the pop in of trees/bushes is quite noticeable in the performance mode which is bugging me :messenger_expressionless:. i like what they’ve done with the car sounds and back fires though, just tuned a car up and exploring the map right now might give the graphics mode a try but can’t see myself going back to 30fps after playing FH4 at 60fps!

I played the first hour on Xbox Series X and game looks amazing.

Then I switched to my PC (with 3080), set all settings to Ultra / Extreme (where available) and holly shit it looks unbelievable. I'm playing on OLED with custom 21:9 4k resolution and HUD off. Easily the most impressive game I've ever seen. Framerate is solid too ~70FPS with VRR.

Going back to the game.

Honestly shocked at how good this looks and performs on the XSS, most games are quite massively different compared to the XSX.

This is my main concern. Aggressive pop in/lod changes are very distracting.

So much so, I’m contemplating starting in the 30fps mode, and just sticking with it.

The detail/textures of the environment is kind of crazy. How is this achieved? are they using cloud streaming like fligh sim or is this all build in?

Very impressive.

Wow. You’re so right. If only devs could implement scalability and the likes.

But no. We are screwed. The Series X version runs and looks exactly like Xbox One version.

This place is full of melts 😂.

hah that's my point.. people are still convinced that the series S is going to hold back the series X, or the whole "generation" for that matter, where in reality if scalability is done right, non of this matters one bit. This game and flight sim are perfect examples of this, and if you believe that if the series S didn't exist this game would look 5x better on the X.... you are lying to yourself.

"current gen" vs "next gen" is mostly marketing.

Geometry detail in this game is outstanding and should be lauded.
