I don’t have a problem with it unless people start to blindly hate and get personal. I assume the mods are mostly moderating that behaviour. I think it’s perfectly fine and even normal to develop a preference when you’re deeply interested in something. And it makes fun discussions when things clash a bit, listening to Shane and Luke go at it on the old 1 Up Yours podcast was awesome 😅

Honestly it's mostly just PS and Xbox fans getting the hammer. I've only really seen two Nintendo fans get it here. I guess it's due to the first two communities being the most console warrish here. The reason why I know this is because I look at the ban list regularly so I know which communities are banned the most here.

Edit: The Nintendo fans I was talking about is Bodomism and Rikishi.

A lot of people are here just to console war, and shit up rival console threads. There have been so many meltdowns and bannings of the 'usual suspects' since the new console war rules came in, and that tells you everything.
I'm sorry but the forum is a much nicer and stress free place to be since the new rules (even though i'm still a little pissed off for getting 3 warning points for posting a gif lol).
Its like i said in the Forza review thread, its so nice and different to read a thread about an exclusive game like that and not have every other post be a drive by shit post.

Well to be honest they got away with it for so long on here. Sure you could still get banned for warring before these new rules but you really had to go in hard with the trolling, usually over multiple posts, before anything was done about it.
Now the mods are taking a very strict stance on console warring and the forum is all the better for it imo.
