Am I Missing Something? Shouldn't the Mafia I Remaster Make Us Optimistic About the Upcoming GTA Trilogy Remasters?

Mafia remake ruined Tommy by making him a rough gangster which he never was. The new music and shooting were terrible too.
but at least it looked good and was a fun game on its own
Sure. The new Tommy wasn't as relatable as the old one, but no one can deny the effort the Devs put into it. The effort is plain to see. That's the key difference to these GTA remastered.

oh of course. Mafia remake might have not fully worked out but you can clearly see it was properly made with effort. not a cashgrab

The issue is less that the OP missed something, but more the development team for these remasters where missing something, talent.

We need optimism from time to time, especially this community. Gaming has been rough for so many of us enthusiasts lately that it can become all doom and gloom. Thanks for breaking that up a bit. Plus, situations like this give us all a needed laugh amidst the chaos.
Thanks Phase! That is really thoughtful of you to make this comment.

I agree with you that there is too much gloom and doom in gaming (even though these remasters clearly fell short). Despite these not living up to (my) hype, I look forward to getting my hopes again for another game, hopefully in the not too distant future. :messenger_halo:
