So I'm looking to pick up a tv for my home abroad and there's some local discounts only for today, I'm not trying to spend that much but I can go with one of these for a bedroom (it's not an insanely big bedroom, its basically a beach apartment)

LG A1 OLED 55" $737.35

TV LG 70" 70UP7500 4K-UHD LED $727.83

couldnt find RT link

TV SAMSUNG 65" 65AU9000 4K-UHD LED $685.03

TV SAMSUNG 65" 65AU8000 4K-UHD LED $620.58

I'm no TV expert so I'm humbly asking for GAF's guidance on this, will have to buy in a couple hours as the discounts are only for the day, basically I'm asking, do I go for the OLED or or the bigger screen space LED options? It would be hooked up to a Series X/PS5 where I would mostly play single player games, I'm not arsed about higher refresh rates because I already have a PC 32inch monitor for that in my office.

So, what say you, GAF?

The smaller OLED. If you're gonna be closer to the screen put the money into quality not size.

That's what I was thinking. I'm just not sure how to measure. I have a 1440p monitor but the rest of my screens are all 1080 still lol.
No LED TV will beat OLED for picture quality

Is it really that awesome over the led?
IF in a dark room, get the OLED.

Room will be pretty dark yeah.

Nothing personal because I know budget dictates but those LED tvs are of the cheaper variety and will not hold a candle to an OLED picture

Yeah I figured, honestly I was just going by screen size not even budget. but I think I will go for the OLED for sure, the price difference isn't even negligible.

Get the largest screen that will fit in the available space. If you don't you'll wonder why you didn't.

If you don't have a way to control the light level, and I mean able to get pretty dark, then your screen type (LED, OLED) won't really matter. I would go for the Samsung 64AU9000.

Dark room...OLED is good choice. Burn in is a real thing though so just keep that in mind. If you are not a picky person the bigger the better when it comes to screen. 70 inch LG will be great to watch something like Dune.

Bigger is better and no burn in worry seals it.

OLED has better colors better contrast, better HDR impact. Best choice for bedroom consumption with small ambient lights during day time. You won't regret getting an oled. Don't worry too much about burn-in, these new OLED panels and Ai in the processor, are very smart to significantly reduce the risk.
Just remember to put on stanby mode on tv when you're done watching. Try not to unplug.

oh look an oled thread better post this gem before someone else does it

Normally I would say stay away from the A1 as it only has a 60hz panel but if it's that cheap and brand new, it's a great deal. Those lcd options you listed are poor.
