A few observations:

1. If you are using this subject to console war, you are a scumbag. Before you start talking about how this reflects on his employer, maybe you should think about his family, his kids particularly, and whether you think its appropriate to claim that he was being "shielded" somehow.

2. Conflating what amounts to a matter of personal vice, to systemic discrimination is dumber than a box of rocks. These are entirely different offences.

3. Internet vigilantism is generally not a great place to start legally speaking, because any evidence they supplied carries its own baggage in terms of its lawfulness.

4. Skepticism about this, versus skepticism about some blue-check on Twitter airing their grievances about a former employer should be applied differently. In the latter case the complaint is coming from the alleged victim, which means their perspective on events is key to understanding its veracity. So if for instance they make a showy announcement of their personal pronouns in their bio, it tells you a lot about their moral/political complexion, which goes to what degree of infraction they'd find unacceptable. In the case of some individual or group setting out to bait and expose a certain type of criminal, its a whole other level because although the evidence offered is obviously more concrete, the process of its acquisition becomes an actual legal matter. Entrapment via fraud, if always taken at face value would be a powerful tool to smear and/or blackmail a target. i.e. it could be a criminal act in and of itself in the eyes of the law.

5. Please be serious about heavy stuff like this.

I can read thanks, but the video doesn't show what is being written

The video shows the same guy in the same PS5 T-shirt from the selfie from the texts opening his door and then running in terror when he realizes it's not really a 15 year old boy who came over for sucky sucky.

You'd think he'd be the one threatening to call the cops over his Ring doorbell in that case wouldn't you? Wonder why he didn't? :pie_thinking:

Rich old guys paying for sex isn’t exactly shocking but I don’t see anything happening in this video. How is this a bust? Someone could do the same to any of us.

Of course if it’s true send him away and all that but so far this is nothing.

Yes, You've seen minority reports?

Yeah the faces still look different to me
Do you know what camera angle does to a picture? Even the lighting in the camera produces different picture.

My phone has garbage picture quality, compared to my sister iPhone 12 pro max. My pictures on both phones would look day and night.

You guys commenting on Jim Ryan and whoever else are missing the mark. Its not that large companies arent gonna have scum like this go undetected. The point is unlike Bobby Kotick, sony is gonna get rid of him

Now in this case sony has little choice anyway due to the publicity of it. But we dont have evidence of Sony hiding stuff like this either.

He got out of the house to meet the person. You dont get out of your house, if you aren't meeting anyone. Especially for a stranger, which you didn't talk to.

The guy opened the door, when the text person told him, he was here.

Isnt what this rich people use to their advantage?

Laws are there to protect those rich people. Its not for us for poor people, who have hard time paying a good lawyer.

While the evidence is clear in this case, what you said at the end could be used against those people. Trespassing, impersonating and all other kinda of loopholes, which these bastards can take advantage of.

In the end lawyers are what protects these people. Its why Activision case took too long.

This point is easy field day for lawyers.

Yup, the minute Ryan released that statement a few weeks ago, I was just saying to myself 'this won't end well'.

Not one week later we had the unfair dismissal claim with other sexism claims and now we have this....

Once again I will repeat that I think PlayStation leadership from the bottom to top apart from a few people like Shu should be all cleared out and management should return to Japan.

They are asking for trouble with their base in California and staffed by Americans and Europeans. They're not even doing a passable job with the actual business anyway.
Yeah I think this would solve a lot of these problems. Age of consent is 13 in Japan after all

just woke up to this, WOW what a mess. Just read those published PMs, he's totally fucked. And as SVP he reports directly to Jimbo... They must be having an all-hands on deck right now to make a statement tomorrow.
That’s what he wanted anyway….oh wait, you said deck.

There's the screencaps
There's a selfie of him in a PS5 T shirt
There's video of him opening the door wearing the same PS5 Tshirt.
There's a Youtube channel that he's the 93rd person they have caught.

That's a whole lot of evidence people need to handwave that this isn't real.

I guess technically it could all be an elaborate ruse. Maybe the guy did interact on an app and sent pictures but not in this context etc. In which case the youtuber should be in serious hot water.

The guys reaction in the video though makes me believe what has been presented so far. Seems like he feels there is something shameful about the situation. He never even comments on the mention of the "cops".

The video only shows a guy opening the door of his house, and the texts could easyly faked. As they are they don't prove anything. Let's hope they called the police and if it's true they send the pedophile to prision. And if it's fake then the guy who made the video and tweets will be in serious trouble.

Has Bobby kotick sent an email yet?
I think Kotick was the guy recording the video. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I think there's a couple of episodes in law and order SVU

The guy never protested to those claims.

If someone does bulshit stuff on you, you will scream at them, that you haven't done anything, and will call the police on them.

The Fact he went back to his house, proofs this claim. No innocent person behaves the way he did.

This whole story has really thrown me for a loop cuz I’ve always got way more of a pedo vibe from xbox.

these guys are in plain sight all over the place. i used to watch hunters on youtube and it made me see the world in a different way. so many of them seemed like "normal" people. they have jobs and families yet look how sick in the head they actually are. you just never know what a person is really like. even those who you think are close to you.

thinks Halo Infinite is a new graphical benchmark
PlayStation won’t be associated with child pedophiles the internet is a world wide thing not exclusive to PlayStation or PSN obviously Microsoft fanboys see this as a shot opportunity to a well regarded man and company.

Most people are sexually abused by a family member or close family friend so yeah, not to sound like a fucking nutter but don’t even fully trust your immediate family as I’ve seen it all too.

I got abused my auntie, when I was a kid. She was looking after us, and did her thing to. Made luck her private stuff, and had her ways.

Its just hard to trust someone, when a close person to you does that.

Resetera locking every thread related with this… Because “waiting for official news”… That page is something else. Is the first time that they wait for official news?

When he Tweets screaming that he was fired because GamerGate was harassing him, there will be a 1000 page thread.

I've never understood how NAMBLA as an organization can exist. Shouldn't membership in that group automatically mean you're a criminal? It would be like being a member of ISIS or the Proud Boys.

Most of the members of groups like that probably try to hide their association as best they can. But, certainly the David Dukes of the world are out there.
