Would the Series S be a good console to get right now?

That is their choice. And the only reason they even have a choice is because they have a disc
So you are saying they are stuck with a disc, which they can't sell?

Which is why I wrote that I´ll pay ~20 bucks and not 0......
You can do that on digital. Buy it very cheap.

Using something like ebay is now "very hard" and "risky". How do you even survive going to the toilet?
Guess someone never heard of package liability. Customers lying about their products. Cost of delivering the goods. And the amount of profit you actually make, after you sell the product.

1: xbox has 3rd party digital keys sellers like steam. So you save more money through digital, than disc.

2: you don't own the game for both. You own day1 non updated game on disc, while digital can be removed.

3: if you are lucky. People get shot, scammed, or need a reliable buyer to buy the game.

4: you can share digital too. If you do family share on steam/xbox/Playstation. Disc allows you to share 1 game only.

Point 1 ignores point 3, maybe for the best because point 3 is like it came from Steam/DigitalStore propaganda lol.

Point 4 selectively qualifies sharing limitations of discs while family sharing appears limitless.

They own it they can sell it.

You can do that on digital. Buy it very cheap.
And all you have to do is wait a few months or get very lucky. Absolutely beats just buying whenever you like, reselling it and still paying less in the end. :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I´ve been using ebay and consorts since the dawn of the internet. Stop lying to yourself and accept that you are a gigantic lazy fuck who gladly pays premium to not have to do anything.
Because that`s all digital really means, paying extra and giving up rights for convenience.

I use my XSS on 4kTV/60Hz from time to time (most of the time it is hooked on 1080P monitor), for me games look good(not good as on my PS5) but in reality you need to get close like 1m from TV to see differences.
Now question is if is worth it if you plan to get PS5 or XSX anytime soon.

For point 3, someone got shot, when they tried to sell their ps5. I got scammed selling a digital product through ebay, and lost that product.

For point 1, it's from experience. I buy steam keys digitally. And for xbox to have that, it's a huge savings for me. While I can get cheap discs in the process, I can get way cheaper, than what that cheap disc cost.

Disc of witcher 3

Vs

Witcher 3 digital

That is why, digital key is cheap.

You are right. I am lazy pump, who got spoiled by the cheap digital games, which I can get, from the tip of my internet search.

I’d go for it if you aren’t obsessed with resolution. It’s much better suited for 1080p TVs but it’s still serviceable on 4k screens if you just want access to Gamepass.

It ain’t perfect but it’s a tiny console for $300. It’s quite good as such.

Getting a PS5/XSX isn't that hard, just pay attention to the various trackers and jump on them when they're on sale. I was able to get a PS5 for myself and another one for my brother a couple months later

All comes back to what you want to play. Pick the system with the games you want to play.

fixed that for you
My God, are you really this much lazy?

I told you, you can get games way cheaper through digital.

Ultimate edition is much cheaper on digital. While you go a head and spend 20$ on basic disc game, I got myself spiderman with Ultimate edition for 20$. This is on Playstation, which has 0 3rd party key sellers.

You really want to make digital games, which have been way cheaper through the game's life span expensive?

This is how you, know when someone has 0 clue about digital games.

Why would you even ask such a question on here?

Every thread where the XsS gets mentioned turns into a shitshow of Sony warriors concerned about everything regarding the console especially the marketing. Infact the marketing is the most important thing when talking about the XsS for the blue rats.

But as you are asking for peoples opinions, imo I wouldn't get an XsS. It would be better to wait for either a PS5 or XsX. Even my boy refused an XsS when I said that I would get him one.

If you don’t have a 4K TV…why? The Series S is still a next gen console with the same RDNA2 GPU.
Just a matter of future proofing. Most people will eventually get a 4k tv and by the time the mid gen refresh consoles come out the Series S will be pretty outdated, effectively 2 revs old.

I was lucky and managed to get a PS5 at retail, but ultimately would've just stuck with last gen before upgrading to the S. That's just me though.

No need to be patient with physical.......
Buy it, play it sell it.
I´ll not pay more than 20 bucks(max) for a game like Horizon FW in the end. And I´ll still play it day one.

There is absolutely no benefit for going digital besides saving on rack space/seconds when putting in the disc. You happily bend over for a little bit of convenience when you go digital.
The one thing you are forgetting is game share. I've been doing that with a buddy for years so every new game release we just split. Makes every new release basically $30 or even less if I wait for a sale. Even stuff on sale or digital keys. It's never been an issue. Mass Effect was just on sale for $30 so we split it, $15 is a steal. According to your logic you'll buy Horizon play it then sell it and be out of pocket $20. A digital day one xbox game lets say Vanguard can be had for $30 split. So I paid $10 more than you and I get to keep the game whereas you no longer own it. You'll never have to rebuy it for DLC or any type of expansion? Thats when you lose even more money.

If you are not caring about other people opinions and you want to have some fun with games but you don't care for the future games to run at "4k". Series S is the best thing to play all the Xbox games.

You realize that physical discs can be given away, too?

And as I've repeatedly shown this is nonsense that you made up to rationalize being lazy. Not that being lazy is an issue, it just becomes one when you make up facts and try to convince others.

Get the S + Game Pass + some dirt cheap games on eneba.com (Look for "Xbox Argentina" and redeem codes with vpn.lat on your smartphone). Want some examples? Hitman 3 11,50 Euro, Farming Simulator 22 9 Euro, Far Cry Anthology Bundle 37 Euro and so on.

Ok, believe your made up world, where digital games are very expensive.

‘It’s not that much cheaper’ 😂

Fucksake man, what a load of tosh!

It’s £249 v £449. That is significantly cheaper!

Temper expectations accordingly.

its almost as if it’s nearly half as cheap, in fact I got a voucher for 30 quid off a product from a retailer and got my series S for 220….hardly cheaper than a series X at all kekw.

And I didn't say expensive anywhere, just more expensive than other options. But I guess that difference is again too hard to understand for you.

- much cheaper
- you actually own the game
- you can resell it whenever you want
- you can share it however you want

Do you like not having a choice but to stick to and buy from whatever digital platform/marketplace your box is exclusively tied to?

You can purchase keys for digital xbox games all over the internet with different prices. Maybe not quite as good as a discount bin at retail, but you aren't necessarily tied to the one store.

Riky Riky is too fast for me. LOL

Well, we all know that it’s pretty hard to get a PS5 or an Xbox Series X right now unless you’re Twitter tracking and even that has never worked out for me the entire time I’ve been trying it. I am still considering a Switch OLED, but a Series S is also on my mind right now. I’m just thinking that it’s a pretty good deal. I have a 4K TV, but it’s several years old. Maybe 3-4. It’s nothing fancy. Maybe a 50” Samsung and it doesn’t have 120fps or anything like that. I’m just wondering if the Series S is viable for me. I do like the 4K capabilities of the PS5 and Series X and would love to have the top end versions, but if the Series S isn’t complete shit I think I’d be okay with it. I could always sell it down the line when stock stabilizes with the others, because I’m not paying a scalper or chasing Twitter account updates for a “chance” to get a console. For starters, I had a PS5 locked down twice on Best Buy through a Twitter tracker account, but apparently they wouldn’t ship it to me and nowhere within 250 miles of me had it in stock so I was out of luck. My closest Best Buy is over an hour away, the same with Target. That leaves me with Walmart, GameStop, and Amazon as my only options. Two of which (or all 3?) have the consoles locked behind premium membership tiers, so yeah.

What would you do if you were me? The Series S is looking mighty fine to me. I was set on a Switch OLED, but there’s a LOT more games I want to play on the Series S, it’s $50 cheaper, and it has Game Pass. Anyone own a Series S and play it on a 4K TV? How does it look?
The S is a fantastic console -- especially for the money, not to mention GP.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
If you are looking for a dedicated game pass machine, the series s will serve you extremely well. But if you value other things like physical games and buying or selling used games, then I would recommend waiting till the series x is in stock and you can get one.

What other option is less expensive than digital buddy?

Because I listed you the digital games, way cheaper than what retailer disc are selling at.

Not to mention, your entire argument revolves around those basic game disc, when digital has the ultimate edition, which includes all dlc, contents way cheaper, by the time your disc game us at 10$-20$ price range.

Hell, you even ignored the link of game sales, which I have provided.

to get a game cheaper
Play games in GamePass, buy games when they have good deals. Can't get any cheaper than that.

I have given up on Switch. This console is awful by current standards and does not provide a good experience in any way. Metroid is really the exception, recently. Series S is a much better pick, lots of great games, BC, great performance. No brainer.

Remember with Xbox you are not tied to the console store for games, you can often get digital copies from CDkeys or Eneba at launch cheaper than even physical.
Thank you. Finally someone who understands it.

People act like digital games don't have other options, and you are stock with the console store. Other than Playstation systems, every console manufacturer has 3rd party digital key sellers.

The only problem I had after buying XSS is that it lacked the storage I needed and expansion was far too expensive. If 350-ish GB available is enough for you then it should be fine, imo.

I have it as a second console (I have a ps5) so my situation is a bit different, but yes it’s worth it. Game pass on your tv is well well worth it.

Buying and reselling is by far the cheapest option until the games descend to the bargain bin, as I've shown multiple times by now... And that's not even including the used market.
But there's no discussion with someone who willingly plays dumb and just ignores facts the moment they don't fit his argument.

People tend to forget unless you are a collector of disks that those of us who still buy physical tend to trade it back in after completion

I then get about half my money back for a game I will never play again

We talked about this ok.
Only fraction of disc users sell their copies.
Your option is to get rid of the game, the same thing subscription do. Because that is what happens, when you buy a game, and sell it. You lose access to that game. The same thing gamepass/psnow do.
The more you guys bring that option, the more retards you guys look.
At least with my digital games, I keep them forever, and don't have to rebuy them, when someone is selling physical copy of them for 80$ in the future.
