Pokémon Legends: Arceus - Gameplay Overview Trailer

well 1 took 5yrs and the other took 2yrs and also by different team. its like saying u want EA fifa team to do a fighting game.

sorry for double post

I actually take that back xenoblade 2 is the best looking game on switch. Still, year one title. Usually devs get better at taking full advantage of a console and turn out better looking and performing games near mid-end gen but the switch has been the opposite. It’s pretty much been incrementally worse as it goes on.

Dread had entire sections with bad FPS, on top of the long ass loading screens

It doesn't matter.

Trust me, this D rate trash will outsell Elden Ring, Horizon FW2 and GOW Ragnorok

:messenger_poop:
And it outselling these games matters because?, surely it can't bother you that a games series aimed at kids outsells these more technical mature games, as long as you do not personally contribute to it's success.

some fans are loving this character
I want her to crush my skull between her thighs….

Also the game looks like dog shit visually, but the concept is neat. Pokemon is one of the biggest ip’s in the world, why is it too much to ask that the games look good. Ive had people call me unrealistic and entitles for saying i want better graphics in pokemon games ffs

Because being a Pokemon game guarantees them amazing sales. The more casual players don't give a shit about the production values, and the hardcore fans will bitch and moan but still pick up the game on day 1.

This franchise already sells more than 95% of AAA games. The reasoning here is probably that they could spend more money on it but the increase in sales it would bring isn't worth it.
If the budget of your game is "Y" and you know you'll sell 15 million units, is it really worth it to spend 10x "Y" to sell 15.5 million units? Probably not.

Pokemon should at least look as good as xenoblade 2 at this point. It’s not like the latter is some huge graphical showcase, its just what you expect from a big IP in 2022

Cancelled my pre-order on this. No point spending £45 when Game Freak have been getting progressively worse, to the point now where their games aren’t enjoyable, IMO. Last good games were all on the DS, with Alpha Sapphire being passable and Y/X being OK. Sun and Sword I have not been able to force myself to complete despite numerous attempts. Best Pokémon games are all on GB/GBA/DS.

In a year slated to feature Elden Ring, Horizon FW, God of War, BOTW2 and Splatoon 3 I’ll just save my money.
Ditto. If it's surprisingly good, can always get it after reviews are out. I was already getting some minor anxiety from all the games coming out vs. my limited time, so I don't mind clearing one off lol.

It does matter, because it means TPC will continue to shit out phoned-in garbage, when the potential the franchise has is near limitless. Not that we can do anything about it. Its just sad.

This game looks ass. No amount of "muh artstyle" commentary can change that the game looks bad. The art-style is just a dolled up SwSh, with horrible geometry, texturing and lighting. The framerate in the opening is visibly bad, but there's nothing in the graphics that would warrant that.

Did you just start playing games in the 360 era or something?

Not sure why you even have that avatar if the graphics in it are so terrible.

Ah, nice deflection and completely ignoring my questions. No, been playing it since the NES days. So, by your logic, we cannot appreciate older graphics if we care about graphics and their advancement?

I mean, I can like older graphics, such as Unreal for PC, Vagrant Story for PS1, and Warlocked for GBC and still care about newer graphics and their advancement.

This looks like a game that still has another year and a half of development time left....but it comes out in a couple weeks.

All aspects of the gameplay look boring as well. Who knows, maybe it ends up being surprisingly good, I just don't see it at all.

You obviously haven’t played Little Town Hero or you’d realise the extreme ends of the spectrum it and Arceus have in terms of size, scale and scope.
I didn't play it I heard it was god awful, but the difference in the design of the towns is clear as day. They actually made a town and didn't just copy-paste assets. Why is that too much to ask for from the biggest franchise in the world.

oh yeah totally forgot about that... that's nintendo for you.
can't even use their "pro" controller

This has really won me over, but from the clips it looks like enemy Pokémon attack the human trainer rather than other Pokémon?

Watch parts of a long play. You might get it eventually.

Still won't change things, Pokemon is aimed at a very young audience, the main issue being the core fans who grew up with these games and expect/demand more, when in reality Pokemon games has never really pushed their respective hardware, most fans will just enjoy these games unaware of the core minorities issues, or that there are even issues in the first place, and no matter what you think it matters very little in the grand scheme of things. Just enjoy all the triple AAA graphical powerhouse games on the Series X or PS5, that's what I do.

I like the art style of these new games and am looking forward to them, but it's all very subjective at the end of the day,one mans meat is another's poison and all that.

Game looks improved visually but people will still say it looks like a PS2 game.

People wanted a much bigger World than S&S, well it will take a visual hit to get there especially as TPC usually want 720p native on handheld and 1080p native on docked mode. Switch is what it is hardware wise.

The gameplay looks much more interesting to me as someone who’s started and quickly dropped a few of the main line games on 3DS and Switch.
If it's not Pokemon it will be some other series, something prior to a game coming out will rub people up the wrong way, walls of texts will be written, folk will be banned and [Removed] will appear everywhere, bingo cards will be filled and the general public will buy it in droves oblivious to the drama. It's fun to watch though. ;)

This is the worst Pokemon has ever been, some of you guys will love it no matter what and deserve it.
“In this latest episode of Adults Crying Over Childrens’ Games….” 😂
Has anyone used the term celebrating mediocrity yet? That always crops up. Needs to go on the bingo card… ;)

"In this episode of Adults White Knighting Toys with Certain Indignation..."
Has anyone hidden behind children as a means to deflect criticism for trash tier looking content?
Love your children more. Demand better. Don't use them as a shield to excuse mediocrity. Kids need standards too.

Have you seen Roblox, the kids love it though.

Thought you would use mediocrity though, but seriously people should just move on if they do not like it, loads of other games to play, surely not worth the time and effort obsessing over this, and can't be good for them or you.

You see, Roblox is different. It engages in meta-commentary about contemporary interaction among peers in their politically volatile existence. It is the ultimate allegory for the tenacity of youth enduring trying times.

Or it's visuals are overly simple because it's main audience is not obsessed with visuals and frame rates, they just enjoy the experience for what it is.

You can apply this kind of underlying themes to anything, and in different ways.

So Roblox could be seen as a modern take on a dystopian future, and the tower of hell's never ending platforms could be a metaphor for the hurdles in life children face.

Or it could be a free to play cash grab, with insidious gambling like add ons. ;)

Looks fine to me, but my standard for GameFreak games is low. This is the first Pokemon in years that I've watched more than one trailer. I would get it if i had a switch.
I feel you on this one. The gameplay change really has me curious. Im thinking its pokemon and they just changed the view point. Hoping to see all the pokemon staples. ie: punk kid on bridge want to battle. or you cant come back to this area until you have a pokemon with CUT. Got to remember trough the years pokemons have never been graphical showcases, they were definitely fun. My last one was Pokemon Black.
