Kind of funny while Mike was still with Xbox they tried to back to money truck up to Act and get COD at least as a timed exclusive but the asking price was way too much so now he goes there and this happens

Fried Rice Cooking GIF by Nigel Ng (Uncle Roger)

He was the leak all along.

They got a big discount on this deal when you consider what their share price was before the scandals.

So chill then. There's no need to panic. You'll just no longer be able to play their games on one of those devices

Not going to let you bring me off this high though!

Oh do be quiet you child.

Exposing the sinister cartel of retailers who allow companies to pay for advertising space.
I think he's out it's a matter of time, it's politics they're giving him a '' graceful exit '' so to speak.
It looks way worse ( for him ) if they just kick him out immediately there's probably some kind of a deal where he'll stay for a couple of months then leave '' on his own ''.

It's probably pretty impractical too for him to just leave right away this stuff takes time.

Kotick will probably be a billionaire when Activision is officially sold to MS for 71 billion dollars. This is the best moment to leave the gaming business.

I mean, since this is not a hostile takeover, Kotick would have been one of the leads in putting this deal together. His bread will be buttered.

Full big AAA Companies being exclusive isn't something I'm fond of, there will be no 3rd parties left at this rate for people on all consoles to enjoy.

But then again it doesn't bother me cause I have a PC and a PS5
Feels good man.

This is the bleeding heart retort I always see when shit like this gets brought up.

We are all talking/engaging in a space exclusively dedicated to a luxury hobby.
I don't care that Timmy can't afford the Xbox over the Playstation he already has.

Food. Shelter. Clothing. Smart Phone. Medical bills. Transportation.
In 2022, After that what you spend your money on is a luxury and or career choice.

Save.
Budget.
Find a higher earning job.
Su** some D***

Whatever you wanna do to afford your luxuries in life. None of my business.

This consoladation is a fucking nightmare.

With this news, I 100% believe that Sony is looking into buying Square and Capcom.

I say this with zero irony: We have entered a new stage in the console wars, and consolidation will become common place for the next 5 years.
Don't worry, Phil says he wants to do this to bring gaming to everyone.*

*everyone except those not on a MS platform.

If they do this, then the deal will have been worthwhile. Also please fucking keep these games multiplatform, you have bethesda as a first party ffs, dont take call of duty and diablo away from everyone else
When you say "from everyone else" you are saying just the PSONLY playerbase right?

Thought you all had "capable PCs"

Time for EA, T2, Square-Enix, and anyone with the UE5 engine downloaded to get in the phone with their attorney and put out the for sale sign.

I dunno how much I trust big publishers like Microsoft to not fuck around with the games and micromanage them.
Games like the Nier and Drakenguard franchise and FFXIV + FF series are not games I'd like to see get '' big corpo Mericuanized ''.

I mean Activison Blizzard is just fucked in general so I don't care much about what happens with it, I just have zero interest in them anymore it doesn't matter rly if Microsoft buys them I probably won't change my mind.
At the same time I don't want the influence of these large publishers to be literally everywhere they won't release games that haven't been sanitized and made '' safe '' for their brand.

Kotick will probably be a billionaire when Activision is officially sold to MS for 71 billion dollars. This is the best moment to leave the gaming business.

Yeah but it's about image, I don't think it looks too good for him to leave right away.
I think it's about him wanting to save face.

I mean...they didn't lie...they did re-evaluate their relationship. They bought them, lmao.

As a Playstation user this is me right now:

Not because i care about these franchises...but imagine the day MS turns to Square-Enix, Sega, etc...after a 70 billion dollar acquisition the sky is the limit.

Also, with this acquisition, this means Sony loses Call of Duty, and 2 franchises that are connected to them since the beginning: Crash Bandicoot and Spyro.

Buying CoD and Crash?

Lol, they aren't kidding anymore. Things are starting to get serious over there. Wonder if this strategy can be counted as monopoly.

Just like Bethesda, this came out of nowhere. Dunno what's more shocking, the fact they bought CoD or that they paid 70B.

This aged like milk lol

It probably went something like this:

Spencer: Bobby, you have to start acting nice or we'll buy you out and fire you
Kotick: LMFAO good luck with that
Spencer: Hold my (Satya's) wallet
