I'm disappointed in the lack of Dualsense features in Elden Ring

I'm very disappointed in the Dualsense implementation in Elden Ring. It's fucking non existent. No adaptive triggers or haptic feedback when you draw a bow, using a spell or when the rain falls on you. It has so much potential for immersion and From basically just squandered it. And it got no 3D audio either. Coming from Demon's Souls, Returnal and Control, which used the Dualsense and 3D audio to an absolute perfection, playing Elden Ring is such a fucking let down in this department. From Software makes some of the best games ever, if not the best ever, but they need a fucking shakeup when it comes to technical features like this. I hope they patch this shit up in future updates. What the fuck are we buying the PS5 version for?

That's what happens when you put all that unnecessary gimmicks on your controller.

Devs don't see the value of implementing features that take advantage of them when their time could be better used elsewhere.

They didn't use their time to improve performance...

From Software has amazing game designers and art team but technical "people" are just lazy/incompetent or there is not enough of them.

No 3rd party multiplatform game is ever going to "really" take advantage of any specific hardware feature that's exclusive to one console. It's a waste of effort that not all players would be able to use. The only time you'll see exclusive console features get used extensively would be in exclusive games (and really only be 1st party studios at that)

Im loving the dual sense on GT7. Totally cool experience.

When it comes to games like GT7, Returnal, Astrobot, the difference is alot. Even Cod had some cool gun trigger changes.

If its a gimmick, then so is rumble/vibration. Its just way better version of it.
Playing without dualsense, is like playing without rumble/vibration when it first came out

This is bullshit because there are plenty of 3rd party games who have implemented it pretty heavily, most recently Cyberpunk 2077.

Multiplatform game do add Gyro feature in their Nintendo Switch version even when it was absent in other platform. I don't think that's an excuse for not utilizing DualSense hardware.

I remember DF was joking in their video, it would be best if Fromsoftware release their game and immediately have other studio Remastered it for them on the day of release. They have good game design, but when it comes to technical aspect, its not their strong suit.

DualSense does add to immersion, for a single player experience, I think its a neat touch.

Exactly. I'm not buying a game without dualsense features.

Wow. So you'll miss out on Elden Ring just because your controller doesn't rumble? And on the entire gaming catalogue for Switch, XSX, PC. And in fact any game not made before 2021?

I mean there's only so many times a fella can play Astro's Playroom - for me that's the only game so far that's made the Dualsense feel worthwhile.

maybe you are unnecessary on this forum. /j
Dualsense features are actually super fun and immersive when used right. It's crazy in Returnal when you enter the portal for example

Honestly I think the constant use of triggers is bad for your fingers and the adaptive triggers makes it worse. Will be interesting to see what happens to people hands long term lol.

The rumble is okay though. That should be added
