I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
I got a lot of fun from this game, but somehow it didn't grab me like World or GU did. I think it's because I didn't like the multiplayer in this one, looked too chaotic with 4 hunters + 4 dogs at the same time.

Still might give at go at this expansion. Hitting some monsties in the head with a big bonk is always nice.

Same issue I have with every MH expansion. I play the game at launch for like 300 hours in 2 months, then drop it. Now do I start over from scratch and relearn all my reflexes on easy monsters again to get ready for this expansion?

It's tempting, but there will be lots of other stuff to play too.

I just started playing it last month but might have the same issue by the end of June. Will need to see if I can stretch out my playing until then!

Thinks buying more servers can fix a bad patch
Can't wait! Hopefully there are bunch of new quests with this expansion

And unfortunately nothing on new collab event

Honestly I was hoping for more monster info from Sunbreak. Release date is nice though.

New hub seems....boring? I guess I enjoyed the Japanese theme from OG Rise, now we've got generic castle. New NPCs are a step down all around too. Astalos is ok, still have a personal wishlist of returning monsters. New Bishaten is great, he was one of my favorite new monsters in Rise. Other newbies look fun too.

Wonder if PC will get those layered sets from the amiibo or we're shit outta luck.

I mean I'm going to buy the expansion, but this presentation was a pretty big snoozer in my eyes, nothing announced today really changed my excitement for the game at all.

Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!

I like the european style vs the eastern themes of the base game. The new hub and more importantly the new areas look great, crazy vertical and fun to traverse like the base game stuff.

Though I didn't quite understand if The Citadel is meant to be a single area encompassing several biomes, from ice to jungle, or just that part of the world, with these fully separate areas.

Between the monsters shown here and the ones we had seen already plus many that are bound to be included even if they aren't shown here it's gonna be a pretty great collection overall.

Though going from twin quest waifus to one (smithy) is a definite downgrade, hey, they're smoothing out the controls further so that's great, love the mobility in the game so damn much.

Alright I watched the video and we’ll I am disappointed we only get 1 zone?

These Rise zones are tiny compared to World, why do we get the same amount? How can they label it a “massive expansion” if 1 zone is all we get?

You can't help but wonder if Switch's hardware is holding them back somewhere down the line. I certainly hope there's more than 1 zone. I'd also be ok if they expanded the zones we already have and made them bigger, but that's even less likely.

I'm huffing copium that there's secretly an underwater zone that they're holding off on showing and they're bringing back swimming combat, but I'm probably one of 3 people in the entire world that wants that back.

It just occurred to me that they didn't really talk about new moves/new combat mechanics in this event at all. Alexios Alexios mentioned the bit about wall running, but there's got to be something more than that.

This whole game feels 'lesser' than World, even if it is more fun in active combat. There's also substantially less to do outside of combat so you don't get that moment of downtime and reprieve that World gave you, which I felt was important. Even the customizable furniture and hut, and the ability to just go to the steam baths or the hot spring. It served no real purpose but it was just something else to do when you wanted a quick break from hunting. Endemic Life capture was way more fun than taking pictures too.

Hope World 2 doesn't discount that stuff because I hadn't considered that I'd miss it at the time, but it really helped flesh out the game and the immersion of being in that world.

It's a link. Click it. There will be new wirebug moves and stuff as well. That's shown in the trailer part also. Of course they haven't revealed/shown/explained everything there is gonna be in this, just as we hadn't seen most of this stuff before today. The Citadel must be HUGE if it includes all those biomes. But I think there's still a chance they call The Citadel the new part of the world and each biome will be its own area. I dunno. Either way it's gonna be exciting, whether it's all these new areas, or some really massive one that might as well have been separate areas like that. Rise maps are the best designed yet to me, coupled with the mobility and how they're made vertical and fun to traverse with it, I really don't get it when people complain about them compared to World's of all things which to me were a chore. Rise's are snappy & cool like pre-World, yet still seamless like World's.

And sure, the whole game is snappier too, it's definitely a far smaller project than World. But it works for me. The only thing I really miss (as long as Master rank brings the challenge back and has most of the monsters available in it so that it lasts long as an end game even after the main story is completed of course) is the player room upgrades and customisation, it's kinda laughably limited (not that World's was particularly great, I'd hope they expand on this further in every next game). Hopefully it's cooler in Sunbreak, they didn't show this but I think there's a chance we get a new one.

I really liking the Garangolm design and looks like fun fight and we got Astalos back.

Can't come soon enough. Not that I didn't get a decent amount of playtime out of Rise but 200+ hours in it versus 1000+ on World/Iceborne just pales in comparison. I couldn't even be arsed to get all the achievements. Maybe Sunbreak will motivate me.

Frakenstein was the Dr, thats just the Monster...

What confuses me is why its element is Fire/Water... electricity would have worked much better in terms of theme.
Maybe he needs that water in order cool the heat in his body.

Little sad to see they haven't attempted to expand the player numbers in the online lobby, having 16 players like world so people could drop in and out of random quests on the board at will was a fun little experience in world, something restricting players to 4 in Rise removed... I fact you can see other players in town outside of the gathering hall made this even more painful... like.... can the Switch just not handle 16 players + one dog or cat? Is that too much for the hardware? Can we not just have it on PC to make up for the lack of the cool amiibo armour?
