How do you know that?

The only way to determine that for certain would be to live in a timeline where MTXs weren't a reality, then we could contrast one design game absent their considerations against one with. I think it's exceptionally naïve to believe the incentive towards monetization doesn't affect the game's design in any way. Of course it does. Why can't cars now be sold, for example, when they previously could be? If you want to continually try to convince yourself that the balance of credit allocation alongside tweaks to the game's economy hasn't been tailored to be conducive to monetary gain, go ahead, but I think you're living in outright delusion.
the way this game throws credits and cars. no one can say with a straight face that micro transaction is harming the game compared to the old ones. there is no way in hell i would have the number of cars have in gt7 in gt5 for example.
micro transaction is shit like there is no demying that, but the monetization in gt7 is so good that im kinda worried they will patch the 63k + bonus races.

i dispise micro transaction but in this game doesnt change nothing. i mean if you buy this game today and you want to jump in online, yeah tough luck, you have to catch up with us who are playing the game, i can see soimeone like that dropping money to buy cars, but if you are in for the ride you fine

In GT Sport all of the races were based around balance of play, so all the cars in a particular category would perform similarly despite having different strengths and weaknesses. It's similar to what they do with the regulations in real life GT3 racing. Ultimately what it means is that it allows for close racing where outcomes are determined by driver skill rather than who has the better tune or car.

With open tuning it's now a completely different ball game and it comes down to who can be fucked to spend time tuning. And not only that, you need the best car as well before you even start tuning.

It’ll be like Forza where only meta cars and goofy tunes are competitive online.

I get people like that and tuning is a big part of GT7, so they should accommodate both.

there will be mix, this week race was c was suposed to be bop with tuning disabled but turnes out there is bug/gtlich that allow peoople tunning car so pd change to tuning race before releasing patch

Yes the Tom's Castrol Supra is a beast. That's what I used for the final Cafe mission. You will know what I mean when you get there.

First off because of the series history. Just play the game and you'd know why I say this.

I hope they get multiplayer right….that’s what will give this game real legs.

Weird that they didn’t just move it over from Sport (which does multiplayer very well).

Very weird, the list of lobby features missing in 7 is extensive. I expected Sports lobbies as a baseline and then further improvements on that, instead its a complete regression in almost all aspects. The only thing giving me hope is that they acknowledged that new lobby features will come in future updates.

Right now the lobbies are pretty much useless unless you just want to cruise around with other players without a specific goal.

Let’s hope they get it figured out! Gane is too good otherwise.

Should they ever add a "Performance RT" mode for gameplay (lower resolution + RT) I'd rather they add RT shadows instead of reflections.
No more shadow pop-in during racing would increase the image quality in my opinion.

On the mtx thing: seems like every car I want is hidden from view & availability altogether. Nevermind locking them behind paywalls, is this weak ass random drip-feed system really gonna be the only way to get some of these cars?

Haven’t played that much so I’ve got plenty of patience in the tank but I’m saying lots of cars I might pay for and I can’t buy them anyway, definitely not a “pay us money” thing.

I've been wondering about that, I guess nobody has a full collection yet? And nobody will until every car rotates through?

Is there even proof that some cars exist? Lol

I've no doubt the game hands out the lower tier cars very liberally, and why not? Does this apply to all though? How many legendaries do you have? I've read to attain 20 million credits, you've to race 350 races. Some of the cars cost 20 million, do they not? If you're so certain that MTs don't affect the game whatsoever, then explain to me why selling cars is no longer an option. What is the rationale (as you see it) behind such an omission?

No one can say to me with a straight face that MTs aren't impacting any game's design and economy that implements them. That is extreme naivete and wishful thinking.

Mine was a Bugatti invite as well, my buddy had a Zonda invite. Do they discount the price, and if so, by how much?
There is no discount as you literally cannot buy the cars by any means without randomly “winning” the time limited invitation through the roulette tickets, you can see all the cars that require invites by going all the way to the right in the manufactures showroom, and yeah when you “win” a ticket the invitation is time limited as it has a expiry date of around 3 weeks or so.

I did not win this through a roulette ticket though, it was a random invite that popped up early on.

I had no idea they have just pop up like that, I have had 2 through the roulette

I tried to insert a photo and it’s saying upload failed, I have a Porsche invite that expires on the 23rd March and Lamborghini one that expires on the 24th, if you go to the Ferrari showroom for example and scroll all the way to the right the last three cars the LaFerrari, Enzo Ferrari and FXX K can only be purchased through a invite.

I did not realize that. I assumed all cars could be purchased so I thought the invite just gave a discount, but now since it is an invite to buy, that makes more sense.

So when I see the Square-ish almost Keyfob/external SSD looking thing with a Porsche symbol on it spinning in the roulette, that is the invite card I assume to purchase a select car that is invite only?

I just won a '19 Corvette ZR1 in a roulette prize. First time I've won a car and first time I wanted a car over credits.

Yeah his last two sentences were all I needed to know he isn't discussing in good faith.

The cars are there, I do wish they would change how the used car dealership works, needs to rotate far more often or maybe separate it out by decade like gt4 so more cars were available at any given time.

At this rate it might be six months before I see my favorite TVR Speed 6 to purchase.

They really aren’t fast with patches. Just key parts of the solo content with licenses and missions on dirt broken for a week.
I literally cant complete my IA license because of the rally track. They were aware of this bug from the first day yet somehow its still there, not fixed. Its a pretty big deal, people cant finish up their licenses and missions.

There goes the two best races for earning credits. They want you to collect expensive cars but the payouts are now terrible. At least add some new events for variety? There's less actual races than GT sport has. Why? An intern could add 10 new races per day.

Yes. You select a freaking track and add car/PP restrictions. Slap an icon and throw it on the screen with the rest of the events. They already create 3 events for sport mode weekly, adding single player events is no different. There's no excuse for the lack of races, such a shame.
