I wouldn’t expect to have any luck refunding or succeeding in a lawsuit, it’s a gamble as I see it, the fine print already says they can change the pricing. If it works then woohoo and if it doesn’t it’s no big deal as long as I’ve at least got to play a few games I wanted to play.

Returnal and Miles Morales are the big ones for me, can’t wait to try those. Raiden V, Shadow of the Beast and a few other games I’ve already tried are sweet bonuses. I tried original FF7 too, nostalgia overload, haven’t played it since the PS1 days 🥰
Personally just hoping P5R comes onto PS Now but i think its a stretch.

I can see there being enough of an outcry that they will sort it out honestly even if they do try and only convert 1 year initially but yeah, not invested in terms of effort.

Enter topic, search for link,no one valid.
Disappointed
Portugal here. Still works if you use a web browser. What country?

Anyway, added an extra year. PSNow until 10/27/2023.

By then there's going to be a good Black friday deal as always and i'll stack an extra year.

Edit: Also something that i noticed

PSPlus doesn't even show with a thumbnail now. Nor does EA Play. Only PSNow. Anyone else?

edit 2: The webstore is finally usable? Lots of filters, much faster than before, etc...seems like PS store is finally out of beta, lmao.
I might start to use this one instead of their app store.

What's weird is that PS Plus doesn't have a thumbnail.
I feel like 2 weeks ago all of them had one.

But i'm sure Sony is messing with a lot of stuff right now. There was a time i had both of my subscriptions as "PS Plus" as well.

As others have said, I really can’t see them only upgrading for a maximum of a year in this example let’s say. That would mean that for the other two years you’d be missing key aspects of a service you’d already paid for.
They would get sued and we’d all get another OtherOS check in the mail.

Why are people doing this, there has been no confirmation at all that if you are on PS Now you’ll get access to premium, my guess is it will be a new sub service .

For those new to the service go try out some games you were on the fence about but didn't pull the trigger.

Those with low latency internet like <10ms try out the streaming.

Haven’t tried streaming yet but I just thought of something…
Can you download a game and while you wait you play it streamed, then when it’s downloaded you can continue play it locally on the save you used when you played it streamed?

So I assume the current PS+ subs will automatically transition to PS+ Essential since they're the same exact thing, but what if I have years of PS+ already stacked and want to upgrade to PS+ Extra or Premium? If they don't have a decent upgrade solution a lot of current PS+ users are going to be pissed.

nani17

are in a big trouble
OK got it to work. I haven't bought psn in years but for 50 a year with some ps4 ps1 ps2 games might as well take a look

Yes you can do that

I honestly don't get how they are going to justify saying if you have PS+ you go straight onto essentials, but if you don't have PS+ and you have a PSNow subsription you go straight into our top tier offering worth three times the ammount you are currently paying, that just doesnt make any sense

I could understand it if they said if you have both PS+ and PSNow then you go straight into the top tier, but not just PSNow, thats shitting on PS+ subscribers big time from a value perspective

I'd do this myself but I just don't understand how they are going to just give people with a £40 a year subscription a £80 upgrade free of charge, there has to be some catch to this

It's because psnow as it is right now doesn't fit into any of the tiers. Moving them to the highest tier is the easiest option without pissing people off. Ps+ on the other hand fits into ps+ essentials.

Not sure I've never tried it. I have download games and started playing before the download was complete though. That's not a new thing though.

I currently have two streaming (PS3) games in progress, Uncharted and Infamous 2, because it saves where you left off. They become icons on your dash. When you click them it takes you right back in.

I don't know how close I am to a server but streaming works very well with low latency, just tested mine and it's 4ms.

They announced they would do this for existing PSNow subscribers. Luckily I had subscribed this year before the announcement.
Just thought why not add more, worst thing they could do is they might not honour it and just refund those who bought from the unsupported/removed link after the tier announcement and free upgrade date. Worth just taking the chance.

You may be right, but Sony saying "Hey, all you £60 PS+ subscribers, give us more money if you want premium. All you £40 a year PSNow subscribers, yeh you need to give us nothing to enjoy everything" just doesnt sit right with me

I just did 2 years on top of what I have left. Fuck it. I'm good til July of 24.

My friend and I have my account set as his primary on ps4. So technically got 2 years for 60 bucks after splitting lol

Wasn’t the MS solution to users having stacked years of gold the $1 upgrade?

Might be wrong but I thought the wording was that Now subscribers are moved to PS+ Extra (the middle tier) not PS+ Premium.

Otherwise I agree with you. The obvious solution is to say that subscribers to both services (Now and PS+) go to Extra and subscribers to a single service (Now or PS+) go to Essential. I think this would be the fairest way to do it.

Edit: nope I just checked the wording and it does indeed say that Now subscribers migrate to Premium. That makes this an even better deal but have to wonder if they're going to row back on it somehow.

I don't think it would be fair at all. If they move psnow subs to essential they would be removing the ability to play the psnow catalogue of games and streaming. If you move them to extra you remove their ability to stream, you are basically removing features they paid for.

I don't think they can legally row back on it. The cats out the bag now.

I just found out that my PS+ was going to end this July! So OP saved me BIG TIME!!!!! WOOHOO! Gotta say, getting PS+ Premium for essentially $5 a month for about a year feels good. I might buy a 2nd year if it's still $60 two weeks from now.

yeah, i am a pc only psnow user and it would be useless to move me to ps essential

Cool but I'm not doing this before I see the PS1/2/3/P games list. We only know they total up to 340 games. What if 300 of them were PS3 games, which I won't stream anyway, effectively paying premium price for only 40 games of 1/2/P?

I'll wait. I hope they release a list soon and this link still works.

You used to be able to get Gamepass Ultimate relatively cheap (i.e. $60 or so for one year). Now you have to use stupid methods like using VPN and the Gold > GPU conversion to get it for that price. The doors are shutting on cheap GPU.

Pretty much the point I’m trying to make is, get Playstation Now (to convert to PlayStation Premium) now at this price or forget about ever getting it for this price in the future.
