Sometimes i dk if he's trolling or not. He liked a tweet stating that overdose is silent hills.
He’s also following just six people, one of course is…

You guys are way too easy to troll.
Kinda hard to know whether he's serious or not when he tweets considering his leaking history has been spot on. State of play nailed word for word, possible overdose kojima game before tom henderson reported playing it, last of us remake exact date of release. But then he does this abandoned cover. Seems like a reliable leaker that loves to fuck with people

Watch the new Silent Hill be Xbox exclusive. Who knows what Microsoft has up its sleves.
Eh, you can easily look at Jeff’s rumour and see it was incorrect from the beginning.

1. It was said to be about a legal signing, no game was in progress. -2021

2. Kojima was confirmed to start a new horror game. -2019

3. Kojima ran mo-cap for above horror game. -2021.

4. Death Stranding 2 discussions started. -2021.

No it's easy to know. Hasan is a complete loser incapable of creating real games. That's why it's easy to know lol

No no im not talking about hasan. I know its fake. Im talking about him liking tweets like kojima is making am xbox game or the game leaked is silent hills. Im pretty sure the guy is just trolling with the abandoned header

Do you think The Snitch = Hasan?
No, i think the snitch is an insider that has access to early YouTube leaks which is why he can nail both xbox and sony leaks. He has been way too spot on. On the other hand i think hasan is probably close to running away from his game. No update since that dumb poll he made about a prologue

I was referring to IntentionalPun IntentionalPun since your comment wasn’t about Hasan.

Might have just gotten confused.

Oh gotcha, I was talking about bitbydeath leaning into the guy having Abandoned header and following that idiot Hasan.

I see now your post before was about him liking the Xbox stuff and a Silent Hill mention.

Yeah who knows; the presence of him obviously trolling with the Abandoned stuff kind means anything he does can be trolling, or real. Will have to see what direction this account goes. My guess is actual posts are more serious, his likes/follows/etc. probably will mean less or be trolling. Still have no idea how solid of an info source the person is.

Yeah my bad. I really just hope that kojimas horror game is single player and not that cloud shit. Doesn't really matter if it isnt silent hill or its xbox. I just want to play a single player kojima horror game.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Even if it’s not, we know Kojima has been working on another horror game since 2019, which obviously isn’t the cloud one that was just signed.

That's exactly the horror game the article is talking about. Kojima wanted to make an episodic horror game and pitched it to Stadia but Phil Harrison turned it down. It's probably been in some kind of limbo until MS and Kojima signed the deal.

According to VGC’s sources, the episodic horror game was turned down by Stadia General Manager Phil Harrison in 2020.

When asked about his plans for a new game in May 2020, Hideo had said “recently a major project of mine got canceled so I’m pretty pissed”. It’s assumed that this project is the episodic horror game VGC had reported got turned down.

Overdose = Kojima's horror game from 2019~2020.

Koji Pro is staffing up now, but in 2019~2020 they had just put out their first game and were a pretty small studio. I very highly doubt they were in a state to be tackling multiple projects at that time.

Now, maybe there's a Death Stranding 2 in development, maybe Overdose *is* the big game everyone thinks he's making. We just don't know for sure either way.

No, the one I’m referring has been in mo-cap already, you’re rumour started last year, not 2019.

Are you talking about the mo cap studio pictures we got earlier this year from the Sony Santa Monica studio ? Those could very well be for Overdose as well.

If you're talking about some other game, I'd like to read about it.

Lol have fun with this guy. He is Hasan's strongest soldier.

They’re not, he also mentioned two games in development last year, neither were the Xbox game or DS2 as they hadn’t been signed.
yes, he mentioned in 2021 that he's working on two games, one big and one challenging. If we assume the challenging one is Overdose, the other one is likely Death Stranding 2,

That really doesn't leave room for a third game, and like I said before, the studio is most likely not big enough to tackle 3 games at the same time, even Insomniac and Naughty Dog don't do that.

Lol have fun with this guy. He is Hasan's strongest soldier.

🤷‍♂️

At a point the available information and the leaks coming out are so overwhelming, it gets weird that people still refuse to believe the obvious.

edit: fixed the broken hyperlink, my bad.

That’s before those games were signed.
You’ve got three years worth of work going unaccounted.

Why are we assuming the three years weren't spent in stages of pre and mid production of the two games he said he was working on in 2021.

You don't say I'm working on something then start it a few weeks or months afterward. You say that when you're already working on something.

They didn’t, we’ve seen mo-cap.
Also you’re forgetting they were just signed.

Here’s some.

They're from 2021.

There's no reason to believe they couldn't be mocap reference for Overdose, which as we know from multiple leakers, is the horror game he's making, which we now also know is the cloud game.

What was signed this year ? the Xbox Kojima deal ? We don't know that. Grubb has been talking about it for well over a year now.

And just because he signed a publisher at one time doesn't mean he wasn't working on it before.

We now know Overdose is the horror game, that mocap reference was most likely for that.

We do know that, that’s what was announced.
Grubb’s rumours were about discussions, and even if they managed to sign last year, mo-cap wouldn’t begin for another few years.

What was announced ? What are you talking about here ?

Why are you assuming Kojima wasn't working on anything even if the signing wasn't announced publicly ? KojiPro is an independent studio, he doesn't need a publisher to start working on a game, he can partner with someone while a game is in development just as easily.

Grubb said they may sign a deal as early as April 2021, they probably wouldn't have invited Grubb at the signing ceremony. We literally have no idea exactly how long ago the MS and Kojima deal was signed.

If you have any source that tells exactly when that happened, please do share.

Early stages = just signed
In a new partnership announcement, Kojima says that they are in the early stages of a new concept that will incorporate Microsoft's 'cutting-edge technology' and 'change in the industry's trends' in some capacity.

First, no that doesn't mean that. Games are taking increasingly long to develop these days anyway.

Second, no mention of early signings in the video with Phil and Kojima, or on the official xbox.com news article about this.

So, no, IGN's paraphrasing is proof of nothing.

Took Kojima less than three years to make Death Stranding, on an engine he has never used before. He’s actually over that time now with his new horror game. The Xbox game having just been signed is not anywhere near mo-cap stage, a literal time machine would be needed for your idea to work.

Took Kojima less than three years to make Death Stranding, on an engine he has never used before. He’s actually over that time now with his new horror game.

It took him three years because he didn't have to develop an engine:

Don’t get me wrong, I’m always quick. It’s like, three years? I can’t really say anything about Sony right now…maybe it will take 8 years, or maybe 10 years for first-party titles, like Nintendo as well. Cyberpunk [2077] has probably been worked on for more than 8 years. I’ve created in three years. When I was creating Metal Gear Solid 5, I needed more time because I had to produce the engine, as well as produce other titles.

I *very* highly doubt he'll be using the Sony proprietary Decima engine on the Xbox hardware/project.

We don't know when it was signed, you keep saying "just signed" doesn't make it so.

Today, we also announced a partnership between Xbox Game Studios and Kojima Productions to create a video game for Xbox like no one has ever experienced or seen before leveraging the power of the cloud. Hideo Kojima is one of the most innovative and creative minds in our industry we can’t wait to share what our teams will create together.

Today 'we announced', not today we just signed something.

So, to summarize:

Overdose = his horror game, very likely the 'challenging' game he was working on.
Or it could very well be the big game since he reportedly brought back Death Stranding 1's cast, which couldn't have been cheap.
If he is working on another project, there just aren't enough leaks from insiders about it, vague twitter pictures which could be from any project notwithstanding.

Alright, time for me to peace out for the night. See you again tomorrow.

He won’t be using any engine yet because it is the early stages of the project as quoted above, he’ll probably end up using UE5 on Xbox, when he gets around to it.

Good talk, but it's time for your regular reminder that KojiPro is interested in Ai game development. Handling 3 projects isn't an issue when you have a 50 person stealth team under CGI Ai Hasan...the project kinda runs itself. He discussed Ai game development in 2019.

As you were.

Sorry man just total nonsense lol

Early stages can last years... particularly for a brand new IP, and a brand new concept.. he's trying to make "a new type of game" using the cloud, potentially even cloud-only (meaning you can only stream the game.)

And in early stages you use an engine to make a prototype.. that's... just game dev.

Also it appears the rumor he signed a letter of intent with MS was 100% true.. and that was reported over a year ago. So he could have "signed" ages ago too.. a letter of intent is the first stage of actually having a contract going into the "it's done" phase.

But even that doesn't matter that much, as he clearly was creating a prototype to shop around... every single rumor about his cloud game, Stadia, Xbox etc. all appear to be 100% true. Kojima was pissed about the Stadia thing but went on to talk to MS, about the only other company who might be interested in a streaming only game.

2019 is three years too early, that’s enough time to complete a game. And he’s confirmed to be showing said game later this year. If it were something he was still trying to work out the details on, 1. He’d have nothing to show yet. 2. He wouldn’t have begun mo-cap already.
