I never saw him pick up mud slabs and throw them or do the clap move that causes instant paralysis before in base Rise either. Then again, I didn't spend much time farming him.
Yeah I think thats new move as well and he does his slap that stun you more often.

Edit: Maybe this just me but I feel his stomp attack has more range?

I'm hardly good at the game but I think in practice I won't be really switching skills mid combat aside from a few exceptions. So far, I can see myself doing it for GS, HH and SnS.

I think the weapons that get the most out of switch skills are the ones with utility bug skills, like SA's dodge + reload and IG's insta-3 charge. I think IG has an insta-3charge, it's been a while since I played it.

Well with LS switch skill let use both Sakura Slash and Helm Splitter in one combo.....I like it

Apparently there's some kind of bug with the bugs for IG. If not a bug, this weapon is about to get a lot more popular online.

Ended up grabbing the PC version and wow...what a difference compared to the Switch version. It's so smooth and plays so much better. Hope I can power through the low/high rank content before the expansion drops.

i would be down for getting a GAF room going this weekend on PC. I still have a few to finish myself.

So since the switch thread got bumped, are there any plans to combine the two? Discussion is slow enough already. And how are you guys meeting up for those weekend runs on Steam?

The Sunbreak OT should combine the two I think, and reinvigorate discussion since the expansion will launch simultaneously on both platforms.

We didn’t meet up over the weekend but I’m down to play on Steam in the evenings US time.

Feel free to add me up. I’m about to make my way into High Rank since I only just started playing the PC version last week.

The PC version plays like a dream but I do miss the larger playerbase found in the Switch version.

Yea sorry, I had some stuff pop up this weekend and barely had any game time. I'm down for evenings though, I'll add you after work.

And also, I agree, we should just have a single Sunbreak topic when it releases, no sense in merging the old threads when neither of them get much action and Sunbreak news usually gets new threads for major info.

All good. I only really played Friday night.

I fired up World for some reason and I knew I wasn't imagining it, ammo crafting via the radial menu is definitely clunkier in Rise. Actually I think the radial wheel as a whole is more responsive in World. I also I had no idea how much wirebugs have spoiled me. I keep forgetting I have to actually roll to reposition as HBG but I'm so used to the wirebug glide. That and I keep trying to wirefall lol.

Going all out with the marketing.

Btw, i'll probably be on tomorrow daytime (pacific) if anyone wants to do some hunts

New Trailer. I'm getting pretty hyped now.

Also, just a forewarning - if you care about spoilers for the big boss of Sunbreak, leaks are out with screenshots and renders of him.

He looks cool.

Waiting for release sucks. I'm trying to concentrate on playing Super Robot Wars and all I can think of is what weapon I'm going to use for Sunbreak's story.

Game's out for the Aussies, apparently one of my wishlisted items came true, and they buffed the hell out of elemental damage. FINALLY maybe Raw won't always outshine countering elemental damage for weapons other than DB/SnS.

Also, Maiden Voyage Maiden Voyage are you doing the OT for Sunbreak?

Alexios Alexios you really helped out with this OP, you want to do a combined Sunbreak for both platforms?

Aw, I'm no good with that, remember I just copied the layout of the Steam page really xD

Gotta put this one in though, for sure.

Anybody got a good OT title btw? I think I'm done continuing the 'a whole new world' song.

Give me some ideas here.

  • Just Play Longsword
  • Still no Lagiacrus
  • "MASSIVE EXPANSION"
I dunno, the word Sunbreak doesn't really give you a lot to work with.
