Sony Electronics has announced new brand of gaming hardware called Sony INZONE.

Pair of monitors called the INZONE M3 and M9, and three headsets called INZONE H3, H7, and H9.

The Sony Inzone M9 is a 27-inch gaming monitor with everything you’d want from a 4K screen, including a 120Hz refresh rate with HDMI 2.1 to drive it, IPS colors, HDR 600, VRR, and G-Sync compatibility. But what really gives this gaming monitor its edge is its HDR capabilities (including one that’s PlayStation-specific) and competitive $899 price tag.

Was leaked early. Here’s the old OP.

  • Sony will soon debut its INZONE H-series headphones.
  • The series includes Sony INZONE H3, INZONE H7, and INZONE H9.
  • All three headphones come with 360 spatial sound for gaming.

Popular electronics manufacturer Sony is gearing up to launch its upcoming INZONE H-series headsets lineup. The headsets are mainly focused on gaming and come with design and features made with gamers’ requirements in mind. We have exclusively learned from tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka Onleaks, about Sony’s upcoming INZONE H-series headphones’ design and key specifications. The series includes INZONE H3, INZONE H7, and INZONE H9 headphones. All three come with 360 spatial sound for gaming. Let’s take a look at the design and features of each Sony’s INZONE H-series headphone.

Starting with the Sony INZONE H3, this headphone is the only wired gear on today’s list. The device comes with a black mic steam attached to the left earcup of the headphone, and the wire to connect the headphone is attached next to the mic. We can see Sony branding on the headband. It features 360 spatial sound for gaming.

The headphone has a LED indicator, a USB Type-C port, NC/AMB (noise-cancelling/Ambient Sound Mode) button, and a volume scroll wheel under the mic. Sony INZONE H3 comes with a USB splitter cable inside the box.

The Sony INZONE H7 is the second headphone on the list. It comes with a wireless connectivity option. The headphones look identical to the INZONE H3 but have a different button placement. The INZONE H7 has a white mic steam attached to the left earcup of the headphone. It has a slightly different place to house the Sony branding than the INZONE H3.

The Sony INZONE H7’s right earcup is home to a GAME/CHAT button, a Bluetooth button to pair the gear, and a power on/off button. It comes with a USB Type-C cable and a USB dongle to connect the device to a computer. Sony INZONE H7 comes with 360 spatial sound for gaming.

Sony INZONE H9 headphones are gaming headphones and the top-tier headphones from Sony’s INZONE H-series. The device has a similar design to the Sony INZONE H7 but has an LED light. The mic and button placements of the Sony Inzone H9 are the same as the Sonu INZONE H7.

We also get the same USB Type-C cable and a USB dongle to connect the device to a computer. However, the Sony INZONE H9 is the only headphone on the list that features noise-cancelling for supercharged hearing and super sharp reflexes in addition to 360 spatial sound for gaming.

The price points of the headsets are yet to be revealed.

In addition to the three new headsets, Sony is also set to reveal two brand-new gaming monitors under the INZONE brand, that feature “exclusive features for PlayStation”, which includes auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode.

According to my sources, one of these monitors will be for 4K gaming at 144Hz, whereas the other will be full HD gaming at 240Hz. Both devices were described as being “perfect for PS5” and have received VRR (HDMI/G-Sync) support and feature low latency (1ms GtG). Sony has also kept HDR in mind (DisplayHDR600 in 4K/144Hz, DisplayHDR400 in FullHD/240Hz) for both monitors.

Is this software based spatial audio or is there internal hardware in these headphones that legitimately enhances the audio being transmitted? I've been using normal gaming headphones with the Dolby Atmos software (on XSX) that cost an extra $15 and the results have been good, but nothing groundbreaking.

In-zone ? So it's licensed or just new name that's not pulse ?
Seems weird ditching Pulse brand like that.
These look ok but not as good as Pulse 3d. A bit heavy weight looking and the boom mic is a bit off putting. I like that pulse 3d mic is out of the way and I don't use it much.

Dongle and Bluetooth... so I wonder if it's using 2,4ghz through dongle like Pulse 3d does.
Is it time to stock up on Pulse 3d? Maybe that's why it was so heavily discounted recently ?

What I like about pulse 3d is very good sound quality, not overdone bass, no bloat. Simple controls, light weight and not overcooking my ears. Battery could be better and top strap too.
Edit: People like to shit on earpads not being memory foam but only because it' a simple foam, you ears are not cooking in there

Maybe it’s better than the Pulse 3D. Those sound good but I can’t bear using it for more than 30 minutes as it really hurts me.
Really? I love the pulse 3d's. I forget I have them on sometimes.

Also the pulse 3d got a recent software update with an EQ settings. If you tune it right they sound fantastic!

questionable.
Better audio and comort? Maybe yes, maybe not. None of "real" headphones integrates with ps5 system level. None works as well wirelessly.
There is nothing that makes real headphones more real than headsets.
Headsets came a long way. Pulse 3d for example is quite neutral sounding, spacious and also works wired. Nothing not real about it.

Surely it's easy choice to have better wireless and integrated microphone as compared to "real" headphones... and no dac or usb audio card required
edit: anyway - H7 seems like a good one. No stupid noise cancelling which you dont fucking need in home anyway... these noise cancelling headphones really sweat your ears because of the isolation. It's a bad trend

I was lucky to get a SteelSeries Arctis 7 for 70% off and for that price I'm extremely happy with it. Probably not worth the full price though.

buy real headphones

like Sennheiser HD 599, 560s, Beyerdynamic DT 770 or TYGR 300R

those will give you better audio and comfort
I am an audiophile and most of those brands are way over rated. Twice the price for maybe 10% improvement over the affordable brands.
Yes, it really hurts me.

Those are extremely expensive in here, unfortunately.
Expensive and not a huge improvement over the affordable brands. Only buy those if you have money to burn.

while audio can be subjective, comfort is a lot less.

Shallow (making the ears touch the drivers all the time, and round pads with fake leather will never be comfortable

These are Sony branded, not specifically PlayStation branded.

Not replacing the Pulse headset, probably will just be higher priced Sony Electronics line of gaming headsets.

Comfortis subjective of course.
I find headphones like Koss Porta Pro most comfortable despite it being a cheap hunk of crap. They disappear on your head.
For me, breathability is most important. It was my fear with pulse 3d but earcups turned out to be perfectly fine. The only annoying spot it the top rubber strap after some time.
I got my wife sony xm3s recently and they are very comfortable but a bit too hot for me. She is fine though

That’s the thing with the pulse 3D, it touches my ears. Really uncomfortable. I settled with a HyperX cloud flight and it integrates really well with the ps5 so far. It’s really good sounding and comfortable.

This is my favorite headphone ever !!!
I was using these for years on fiio e10k.
They disappear on your head, sound AMAZING and you yank the cable off when getting up :p
I did a lot of A/B with Pulse 3d and both actually sound surprisingly... almost the same to my ear :p Which is impressive because pusle 3d is wireless.

Yea those Koss have been built like that since the 80's and they still hold up today. Fantastic sound that can't be beat in that price range. The downsides being you look like someone from star trek to the millenials when you wear them and they are open air so everybody can hear what you are listening too.

I do not understand the bitching about the PULSE 3D's. If they are are uncomfortable to anyone I can buy that. Some are bitching about the sound and I do not understand that. They have always have a nice solid even sound. I think some are use to that ultra bass heavy cheap headphones that sound like shit.

Inject it , sucker for a new headset and will happily buy another despite owning:

Audeze Penrose
SteelSeries Nova Pro Wireless
Sony Pulse 3D
SS Arctis 7P

(In quality order)
Have you tried IEMs?

I recently looked into IEM's cause I figured, if audiophiles love IEM's for music why not for video games?!?! Also great for just music listening. All the things that audiophiles gush about, sound separation, directionality, sound stage (still trying to figure this one out), they kinda work in video games too! I wear glasses, so eventually the headphones start to hurt the sides of my face... and I really dislike headset hair lol and have in ears are more comfortable to me.

If you ever get tired of headset, look into some IEM's. I picked up the FiiO FH3's but apparently the KZ ZS10 Pro is fantastic at only $50!

EDIT: they're all wired, so If you hate wires then these might not work for you.

you can buy a Sennheiser HD 599 on sale for 100 bucks, and it will be 1000000x more comfortable than any Sony headset, 100%
Phillips Fidelio x2HR are awesome too.

For comfort though it's almost impossible to beat Sennheiser as the Phillips are a bit tight on larger heads.

Any headphones are better than Playstation Brand headphones.

Interesting I’ll give them a go, not a fan of wires.

for me it’s essential.

is this going to be a part of the rumoured Sony SoP alongside the Pro Controller?
Seems to look like it! Looks like it has the same bluetooth connection as the xbox headset. Lets also hope that it connects to ps5 without dongle. The controller is going to be crazy if this headset is this nice.

Some people might disagree with me, but this is for sure a Day 1 purchase for me.

Pulse 3D has great sound, I still have them and I use them for multiplayer since it’s very convenient for that but it makes my ears so sore. 😞

I just paid $350 for The Arctis Nova Wireless Pro's (the Xbox model) and I feel like that is a big ask. I can only imagine how much Sony will charge for these things.
