Horizon Forbidden West reclaims No.1 | UK Boxed Charts

Sony's title saw a 11% decline week-on-week, with 95% of its sales going to the PS5 and only 5% to PS4. Horizon Forbidden West was already back at the top a couple of weeks ago, benefitting from PS5 hardware bundles.
Last week's No.1, Mario Strikers: Battle League Football, dropped to No.3 following a 58% decrease in sales week-on-week.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga remained at No.2 for the second consecutive week despite a 33% drop in sales.
The Quarry, Supermassive's latest game that debuted at No.4 last week, had to settle for No.7 this week, with a 63% drop in sales. Players predominantly bought the title on PS5, at 47%, followed by PS4 at 29%, and Xbox Series S|X at 13%.

Gran Turismo 7 seems to be showing some great stability. Even when the PS5 hardware is lacking, somehow the game keeps going up.

would love to know the total sales numbers, think there was an estimate for Mario Strikers last week.

From IBF: ~12,750 units. Mario Strikers last week so this week would be ~5,355 for #3

Last week
Strikers #1 at 12.75k
Lego #2 at X units
HFW #3 at Y units

This week
HFW #3 at 0.89Y units
Lego #2 at 0.67X units
Strikers #1 at 5.355k

so 0.67X > 5.355k, 0.89Y > 0.67X, X/0.67 < 12.75

Someone can figure out the range

I think (x being Lego sales, y being hfw sales)

There have been several re-stocks every week. I'm on twitter and I'm getting a ton of notifications.
Today's amazon drop is lasting long, IGN tweeted at 8.33am and still in stock.

Will be interesting to see how high it goes in the monthly chart. Currently #45.

Yeah really surprised with Amazon lasting this long. Amazon have also removed the prime requirement to buy it.

Ps direct also seem to be in stock for a while now for both standalones and horizon bundle.

Is it just me or Sony is dropping the ball in most European countries and USA? Sounds like most supply goes to the UK at least for now ...

Great news. Congrats Sony, and congrats Aloy.

It's nice when a game doesn't totally blow its sales-wad in the first week so there are plenty of latecomers to help keep it in the public mind. If they can keep up the momentum they should stay relevant all the way through the holidays when a second big wave should occur. People who complained about the steep 80% drop-off in sales early-on never stopped to think long term.

It's genius that the bundle is the digital version. Jim Ryan is a stone cold g.

Keep the sales coming In and make it more trouble for people to sell on the game. I wonder what the digital physical split is on the game.

I think it's too early to tell, the european monthly data doesn't give us enough info. It think across the board the PS5 is up QoQ but down YoY.

Xbox 'perfected' it with the Cyberpunk One X, the code was pre-applied to the console effectively and would link to the account when you set it up.

Yeah it's a genius move, my halo series x did it. To be fair on those consoles, they are limited edition bespoke systems for the game so it makes sense. You could still buy a standard xbox one X if you wanted to, or a series x.

These bundles are the only ones really available so you have to get the game, it's pretty genius.

Was The Quarry a success? My impression is that the studio failed to hit on anything after Until Dawn and I like their sort of game.
Sales don't look that great. The screwed themselves with the dark pictures anthology, they where ok games but nothing like until dawn.

Should have really made somethng like quarry straight after until dawn.

I didn't realize Dark Pictures were by the same company. Man I hated the QTEs so much I never finished the first game and never went back. Is The Quarry also riddled with those things? If so i'm taking it off my wishlist.

UK is the first market where PS demand and supply get closer to equilibrium.

Makes sense. On the supply side the UK was heavily favored more than any other region.
On the demand side, the UK is one of the most price sensitive western markets. Generally the cheaper console wins.

500 quid is a lot for most people.
Series S is 250

Damn shame, I think these games just like Quantic Dreams games are great for the general public to get into games, likely some of the most suitable games for a streaming service aimed at a broader audience.
